    Just a tip for someone who is looking for very inexpensive chipboard. Dollar tree 3 ring binders can be used, all you have to do is cut the ring binder off using a craft knife. You can remove everything the vinyl from the 2 sides left very easily because it’s not glued down to the chip board.
    They are pretty sturdy and make great pieces for books like this. If you find binders at garage sales you can usually them very cheap as well.

    I sure wish you hadn't edited out setting off the smoke alarm! That would have been worth a good giggle and a lesson in how to stop the alarm and clear the smoke from the kitchen. LOLLOL I love that you do stuff like this and then mention it! It's the reality of crafting play!

    I had an African gray that we rescued for about 25 years. Her name was Grey Bird. I thought they just called her that because they didn't know her name until she corrected me one day for calling her the new name I had given her. she waas a hoot and was necked from pulling her feathers, but we loved her just the same. She loved my husband the best. Anyways, she would act like she was the door alarm at a store and make the alarm noise anytime anyone went in or out. I sure do miss her.

    Oh my lord, you used a piece of ephemera today that said PALMERTON, PA you are in MY neck of the woods, about 30 min north of Hellertown, PA. My daughter lived in Palmerton, PA for about 8 or so years. It’s up toward the Poconos, used to be coal/zinc mining country. Ya should have stopped by for a cuppa, lol.

    Can we use PVA glue instead of mod podge

    • @ThePaperOutpost
      @ThePaperOutpost  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, many make their own mod podge by adding a little water to PVA glue. But remember that water sometimes warps paper. You can use plain PVA glue on its own too :)

    Hi Pam,
    Would it be easier to collage the edges first, then do the front and back covers? Yeah if I could, I'd buy your digital coffee dyed papers to use, but first I'd have to buy a more economical printer and before that I'd hire someone to build me my own craft space so I could create with reckless abandon and not worry about any messes. I don't ask for too much, do I? LOL
    I hope you and yours (birdies & all) are doing well. I'm so very happy I have my new long distance friend Camille. Take care dear Pam and God bless you and yours. Sincerely Becky B from Arkansas

    For the front cover it took you approximately 10 minutes to glue all the scraps down, does the scotch glue stick stay wet that entire time?

    • @ThePaperOutpost
      @ThePaperOutpost  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      No, I suggest working in sections and you can always apply more glue stick if it dries :)

    What is a digi kit?

    • @margenek
      @margenek 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Bobbi... a digi kit is a collection of papers or ephemera or other items that people collect and sell. They are downloadable and you print them yourself. Many people sell crafting papers and things on Etsy. So many to chose from. Pam usually shares different Etsy shops you can buy from and she has he own Etsy Shop. Hope that helps as I don’t think I explained it very well.

    • @ThePaperOutpost
      @ThePaperOutpost  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      HI Bobbi, digikits, or digital printables are computer files you download ( from Etsy for example). Folks like digikits if they cannot find the images or vintage ephemera themselves, or have no room to store it, or it is too expensive when they find the real stuff. :) Here is my link to my Etsy Shop if you wish to see some examples :) www.etsy.com/shop/ThePaperOutpost
