DLCs weren't selling, so they stopped giving the original game updates... I mean, I get that it takes quite a bit of time and money for them to update the for new product launches, but that was the main point of PCBS :/ And when the major talking points are "thermal paste behavior" and "thermal imaging" I'm not really sure what makes this worthy as a sequel and not just a normal update to the original.
Asus definitely figured out how to do the stabilizers. My scope rx has good stabilizers as well.

Those headphones look like they have a HUGE potential for streaming. As you have mentioned with the gifted subs, or any other interactive things while streaming, they could bring a bit more to the table for the entertainment factor. However, that being said, if it is not done correctly, it could also have the potential of being more of a distraction. Its a cool idea none the less.
honestly it looks like a waste of money, You cant see it, stream cant see it unless you set camera up specifically for it. then its just like why

And I'm pretty sure a cheaper Senheiser headphone is gonna sound twice better.

The dot matrix on the keyboard is pretty slick, but it should have more options for system monitoring.
Dot matrix on the headset seems... Useless? I get that it's probably for streamers, but I won't ever see it if I'm wearing it...
$220 is ludicrous for a gaming keyboard with cherry switches. You can build a custom with ttc switches, which are significant more smooth than cherry switched for less.

@@hayden1255 I get what you mean but alot of people don't feel luke making a custom keyboard. And this comes with more features, software... And in theend of the day people do what they want sure it migth be a bit overpriced but it line up with other companies so I honestly don't mind the price.
I am loving the hot-swappable switches! For one it makes cleaning the keyboard so much easier. I do wish the cord was removable and swapped with a type-c.

1:15 yeah sadly, the matrix display neither the keyboard or the headphones do not have RGB, but I would expect that to change ….very soon
Interesting. If they made the KB TKL in size but 75% in button size, they could have a smaller KB that still had room for those lights and a funky different look.
I'm very late for the party as I just got the Flare II Animate in 2024. I was half expecting Dmitry to blast the novelty of the dot matrix LEDs at the start of the video lol. I can imagine using custom text on the headset's dot matrix display to impress your crush because other than that you won't be seeing that display while using the headset. I'm currently using this keyboard to post here and I must say that past the 3 day mark, I no longer pull out my keyboard tray fully just to admire the animated display lol. The display is actually useful when it shows volume up/down and I have no complaints about the feel of the switch/keycaps, but I think the Scope II 96 was slightly better in that respect.
The headset is pretty sick! The price will put them pretty far out of reach for me, for a gaming headset. But maybe some big sales will happen later on!
Yes, when I'm gaming, I like to watch my keyboard and look at my headphones in the mirror to see the dancing images on my headphones. Well done ASUS! We really needed those!

@@dean.478 not even gimmicks imho. I don't think we need innovation in keyboards. I'd gladly go for reliability, fair price and good customer service. On the other hand that would be pretty innovative.
@@dean.478 you do know that you don't need to buy it rigth? And there a verison without the matrix and the hot swap feature. People love complaining... if you don't like it don't buy it...
nice that they added the foam to the keyboard but I wonder how the sound profile would change with a better foam and maybe a tape mod to the pcb

Im currently rocking a full logitech setup cuz l got g915 tkl, gpro, gpro x headset, and logitech webcam and tbh im not ditching them in the foreseeable future (morely cuz they costed a lot)
As a guy with broad shoulders, I'm lucky enough not to need the agressive slant to play. I have plently of room to maneuver. But I'm so glad I no longer need to make my own tactile bump on the W key with this board! So happy to see someone catching up! :D

who else thought the holes in the headset was Asus' attempt at a higher end "open back" headphone and was sorely disappointed when discovering it was just for frivolous lighting?

We got 5 of the IKEA ROG Gaming desks that IKEA is selling now and for $159 USD these things are TOP NOTCH. ROG is doing things.
Headset, if they could implement the light effect to discord or other teamspeak app to light up when team-mate speaks, somekind to notify your partner or parent, that you're on conversation, gonna be great.
If they made this a TKL with a wrist wrest, I'd go for it!
If every company did, I'd be all about it!

I love full size, but I absolutely detest wired keyboard. So this one is not for me, hope they remade Claymore with better key caps

I dont really like the Matrix lights/animations. But if they come out with a Wifi TKL version I would try it. And of course an upvote for playing Tarkov :)

I have the asus tuf gaming h3 wireless. It was 80euro and i couldnt be more happy for that price. Its really good, costs like 50% less then some of the 'flagship' wireless gaming headsets and its connectivity, build quality and mic are really better then the asking price imo. Maybe a good idea for a video
The headphones would be awesome if you could make your own things to go on them so if you are a streamer you could put your own logo on them
I like RGB on controllers and headsets, but I don't really need an RGB headset. I already got an RGB controller, the PDP Afterglow Wave Xbox controller.

first 2-3 days you will be so amazed, then it's all just blends in and after few days you switch all noisy lighting off

honestly if of the shelf keyboards sounded like this when I was getting into mechanical keyboards 6 years ago I would have never gotten into the hobby. would have saved my thousands of dollars XD but I would have missed out on tons of great products though. there are still a lot of benefits to going custom though this ROG board stills sounds really hollow but great to see the bigger "gaming" guys start to put some effort into making their boards not sound like someone dropped a plastic bucket full of pens and forks down a flight of stairs.
This is the future of pc fashion. They definitely set the bar, next will come colors and greater definition.

I'd argue the lights on the keyboard are significantly less of a gimmick than the ones on the headset
All they need now is a mouse that has "animated" left and right clicks and we've got a set. We might not need monitors anymore 🤣

Why do you say you need a slant to use a full size keyboard while gaming? I use a full size just fine with no need for a slant. If anything, the slant makes it more awkward to use

If you're spending 250 for headphones, just buy sens hd560s or beyer dt 900x for studio quality audio and competitive fps use. Those are some of the best neutral to light bass monitoring headphones you can get and will be better than any of these overpriced gimmicky gaming brand cans.

Would absolutley Love ROG stuff IF... they did more with wireless headsets actually being good. and dropped armory crate for something more like what glorious is doing. Wired headphones are a NO GO for gaming in 2022, wired for music is fine.

Yes, when I'm gaming I love to look down at my keyboard to admire the dancing led's and look in the mirror at my headphones (and not look at my game on the monitor) with the dancing led light. Great ASUS! We needed those!

Hello, I live in Turkey and I have a budget of 250 dollars. I only play Counter Strike. I want to stay in the footsteps of the enemy coming from behind me during the conflict. My only purpose is a game, my expectations are what do you think is the best headset in this budget? What should I buy as dac + headphones? Is this headset the best option for this purpose in this budget?
I love asus' devices but I hate their bloat-loaded software.. it's pretty damn resource intensive than bitdefender lol!

I would be much more interested in ASUS hardware if they did away with the "REPUBLIC OF GAMERS" branding - just a minimalist ASUS branding would be ideal.
