One of the best things I've learned in life is too get away from toxic people and negativity. I enjoy being around positive people and love to fill my day with joy, I get more stuff done, and overall I'm living a better life now.

Gee. I had to go the distance, and learn about all these the hard way. Graduated from the school of hard knocks.
And when I did find someone like me, they passed away. Now I battle depression and lonliness on a daily basis. It hurts to lose someone who shares all the positive, and cast out the negative things, and have that sunshine smile and open heart, that when you look into their eyes, you truly can see their soul as well.
I reflect on what time was shared, and truly feel blessed by having just that.

Even though most of the points are pretty well put following such a list could be very misleading, if you yourself are not a good friend. We all have insecurities and flaws, and a true friend won't expect you to be perfect but should be able to see and help you through your struggles, and the other way around. For example, the one who is nosy about your experiences might be lonely or has abandonment issues, but it does not make them controlling. If a person is more direct and passionate they might sound aggressive without trying to control your choices. The so-called vampire could be an uncontrollably anxious person not necessarily someone who wants to hurt you - such people are very concerned and care deeply.

The glass is half empty and half full that's reality. Sometime when people fail to make sound decisions, that is not as cautious it could have been, afterwards they come for the person who they truly only think of as the heavy lifter. When I engage in trying to cultivate a realistic view point of what is more likely to happen if they take the idea and it turns out favourable, because of observing duedilligence, in the retelling, the idea was all theirs. If they don't take the 💡 and unfavorable reality results...their is tention between us. As if I 'm in their way due to their shame or whatever. I'm glad that I am over that toxic trap. My energy is all mine again.😎

I currently have a friend who’s the vampiric negativity type. When I started talking about a body mod I was excited to get done in a gc, while the other active people were also casually talking about it, that one friend started saying how they didn’t like piercings, and just went on another long, negative rant. It made everything really awkward and I could tell a few others were put off. I do feel a bit sorry for that friend, but at the same time, I found their texts quite draining to read, because they were kind of a perpetual Debbie Downer. I really want to like them as a friend but it’s difficult when they behave like this.

I knew something was wrong with both of my parents by the time I was three years old. My dad was explosive and heartless and my mother self absorbed--they were alike. I left home hours after hs graduation. They divorced and over the years I was estranged from both off and on for longer and longer. It was hard to be without family so I'd go back to try again but it was always worse than ever. They both said I was the defective one. My dad died at 86 and I didn't feel a thing. My mom is 94 will live forever. He was a sociopath and she's a malignant narcissist. I told them both what disorders they have but it didn't do any good--their disorders run throughout their families. Some people leave and never go back but others keep knocking their heads against the wall like me. If I'd known then what I know now I would not have gone back and instead cultivate permanent relationships elsewhere.

And started loving me than himself😭
you are a true nice person even wanting advice from stranger...........
Just tell him you can't be friend with him on these condistion adn feel afraid to tell the truth ......if he don't try to understand your feeling and persuad you to be in his side than you will also suffer same fate like him and start hating yourself..............So let him know your true feeling if he understand don't feel shame on ignoring him at least for year ....if he is a suicidal person than that's completely different story...........i think most of us just don't die because of own sadness and suffering ..........just we must experince left alone to become strong alone in our alonliness...........

Hi There, Though i appreciate this and most of your other videos, one thing i cannot agree upon. That's the "vampire in the room" statement. As what your video about honest people describes, they can be blunt (iow the impossibility to lie makes them so) can also be seen as negative. I used to be a "Every thing is going to be okay guy". But since i,ve been through a depression there are some topics which trigger strong negative emotions within me and thus make me then ventilate them. That doesn't mean i purposely want to ruin the conversation. Also, when the laughing is about things that happened to others (iow gossip), most of the time i will show my discomfort about it too. Besides this i do like your videos in general!

So can your own family (sister) be toxic ? How can you let someone you love as family that they are this way ?

    • @liamnicholson6479
      @liamnicholson6479 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

Yes they can. You can, no family member gets a "free pass", make friends your family and cherish the ones that do love you, weigh up is their weaknesses worth their strengths, do their strengths outweight their weaknesses. You don't have to "cut-ties" with them, however you can have a break/some space from them, and create boundaries and not be as "close" with them. Make new friends and again make them your family, focus on them and your family who loves you, then you simply will not have much of a chance of focusing on the ones who don't love you. Also, if someone is "toxic" this usually doen't mean they are a "bad" individual, the simple truth is "hurt people, hurt people"
      Hope this helps.

The ultimate test that always works..... Tell a friend you think is toxic a fake story of failure and embarrassment and right as you reveal the punch line of the worst part, look at their face and how they try to hide the smile, if they do try to hide it, most wont.... They get off on it.. This is how you know they are not a friend and are going to destroy any dreams you tell them through reverse manifestation. People can help you manifest dreams to come true, some will help take them away. Avoid the ones who really are not a friend and keep the dreams secret to those you are not sure of. I can say this, ever tell someone your dreams and right away you think, wow, now that i told them it wont come true... bingo.... you told a toxic person who wishes only harm to come to you and your body sensed it. We are all psychics, even if you do not understand that, you have experienced it. =)

    ”Spiritual Vampire”:
In short, a person who is constantly negative is not reaching for straws, hoping that their friends might have solutions or at least compassion.
It is not because their life IS constantly negative and they are defeated.
    Ostracise them.
Dont let them ruin your fun.
People with problems are just boring and lazy.
Real friends are fun and carefree and give YOU energy.
People that actually need you and takes some effort are just selfish.

I have a question in reference to No.1. *Anyone is welcome to share their opinions*
    1. If an individual(sl) is entirely too involved or welcome themselves into aspects of your life that they have no business & DECIDE NOT TO LEAVE YOU THE FŮÇĶ ALONE AFTER YOUVE ASKED NUMBEROUS TIMES, ISN'T THAT THE EXACT SAME THING & DOESN'T IT HAVE THE SAME EFFECT AS BEING SELF-CENTERED? 🧐🧐🧐🙄🙄🙄🙄 ORRRRRR HEAR ME OUT!!! Could that be surfed under the same category as being said "self-centered"? For example, it could be labeled self-centered because of the aggressive method of being aggravating, annoying,& irritating to the point of no return🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔. The consistency of constant bullsh!+ (from my POV) is self-centered. Only thinking about what you want & not GAF about the individual you won't leave the hell alone! The resonation in this video is uncanny & I guess ppl do ... do it to try to control the other party & ITS NOT GOVING QHQT THEY MAY THINK IT MAY BE GIVING & IN THIS CASE OF THE EX ... CONSISTENCY IS NOT THE 🔑 BUT MINDING THE BUSINESS THAR PAYS DOES. Thank You All Smart Individuals For Attending MY TEDTalk ANDDDDDDD Potentially giving me multiple answers to my question(s) 🙏🙏🙏

A wife can be toxic. Especially the one that controls your decisions everytime. How can you get away from a wife like that if she doesn't want to leave my house and if i formally let her out she screams and makes a scene to the neighbors. Then she is still around and controls me. I can't even go out of the house alone coz she thinks I will meet a girl, which I'm not.. and she is good in defensive arguments.
