    Interesting, I wonder how/if they got around U.S. patent laws on recording and transmitting at the same time (on the transmitter device). The U.S. version of the Deity wireless kit was restricted only to only allow you to transmit or record, but not both at the same time while the international version allowed the transmitter to transmit and record simultaneously.

    • @WeddingFilmSchool
      @WeddingFilmSchool  3 ปีที่แล้ว

    I’m rode wireless 1 owner. Love the unit. But while filming salsa dancer and jiujitsu instructionals i would get some occasional drop offs when bodies cover the unit ( so line of sight blocked for a second or 2 ).
    Could u tell me does the wireless 2 has a more robust connection which would remedy the problems i encountered with the first version or is it gonna be same issues??? I know it goes further an has internal recording
    But i wanna to know if at short range with obstacles the 2 has better signal than the one?

    • @WeddingFilmSchool
      @WeddingFilmSchool  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Putting out a review next week after we tested it for while but it seems to be improved. That being said, I noticed some slight drop offs when the subject would turn around but that may be a combo of the distance and the line of sight break. It’s def better than the GO V1 btw.

    Вещь конечно интересная!
    Однако вопрос, они пишут звук в отдельные каналы, не стерео?

  • @ToastedSynapseGaming

    I have a question - when using both Transmitters: Seeing how the Transmitters are actually the ones Recording and that the Receiver is the one 'Merging' the audio (if you set to to 'merged') is it then possible to have a Merged audio in your camera (so ready to go for your quick edit), but still be able to access the files individually from the Transmitters if you set them to Record? (in case you don't like how the 'merged' file turned out in certain areas - I'm also assuming that it's easy to sync them up if this is the case, seeing how it's basically almost identical audio when a person is talking)
    So long story short: Can you set the Transmitters to Internal Record independent files from 2 speakers WHILE setting your Receiver to Merged Audio for your camera?
    Now why would you want to do this, you might ask? Well, besides docu work, walking interviews in like factories it actually helps at weddings. Let's say you have 2 Priests (or 2 people talking. You might have the bride and groom hooked up for the vows), great! Now from my experience they mostly talk at about the same volume and their speeches don't overlap, so you can mix them together on the Left channel. Now, by using a Y splitter, you can actually have a 3rd microphone for your Right channel - and that would be a shotgun microphone on your camera for the ambience, or a person laughing in the audience or a glass clinking when you point your camera in that direction etc. With proper mixing in editing you can create a much more natural experience for your final movie by mixing in a little or a lot of this additional ambiance track in certain places. AND (and this is why I ask this) -> If you are NOT satisfied with your Left channel that is basically a merger of 2 people talking, then you can easily access the Transmitters and offload the 2 files to replace your 'merged' track (for the whole thing or only when necessary). And syncing would be easy considering you'll have basically the same audio when a person is talking.

    • @agentsixsix
      @agentsixsix 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, you can get the audio merged into your camera and still have the individual recordings as a backup. The recorder records just the audio from the receiver where it is built-in.

    What about interference with 3rd party microphones? That was a big deal with wireless go 1..

  • @agentsixsix
    @agentsixsix 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Unfortunately, the "safety" of an automatic recording into the transmitter's memory is not that safe at all. Whenever the transmitter loses connection to the receiver, the recording stops. When the receiver turns off, the recording stops also. The recorder function is more of a backup recording for problems such as RF interference, short dropouts, etc. but not for instances where you lose connection with the receiver.
