    The trial chambers have the right loot i want out of a structure. What i want is when they make a structure they should use it to teach an existing mechanic with puzzles around it before making any new mechanic. Its a great start and i hope we get better structures in the future.

    Idk why people want every update to change the game in ways that you can see when you first boot up a new world... of course those updates are exciting like 1.7-1.9 and 1.17-1.19 were but adding content for later parts of the game is also very important. So those updates are more exciting for the people that already have a world and just want to keep playing it, instead of starting a new one every update.

    Trail chamber maps are very easy to get if you know what you’re doing. It’s not like you need a whole villager trading system you just need one villager, papers and glass. Those materials aren’t difficult to get.

    The "focused on trial chambers" is a bold arguement tbh because most of the past fan favourite uodates only focuses on one thing like "Village and Pillage" and "The Nether Update", which each update focuses as nether/village as their core subject

      @@ultrafun2227 So are the features that 1.21 brings which are the wolves and armadillos, it's released separately but it's pretty much developed in the same dev cycle, also Crafters' significance are not to be undermined within redstone creations, and this block is extremely far removed from Trial Chambers mind you.
      Edit: And oh yeah, new Copper and Tuff variants for building which you don't need to explore further or get to the trial chambers to notice and use.
      Anyways, I don't get why focused features are somehow even remotely a bad thing now, wasn't the complaint about the previous update is that it's too "random"? Now people want it to essentially be random again for honestly arbitrary reasons.

    They should allow us to use breeze rods to make ender eyes. The progression it kinda linear right now, and it would make the trials even more worthy to find. I am with you about the fact that there should be some kind of indication on the surface when there is a trial underneath, like a copper and tuff hut or something with a hole going down. They did it for lush caves, and it works too with the trials

    I think that, when people say that this update is good, they need to specify that it's a step in the right direction, and not gold standard. Mojang may just continue adding updates exactly like this if they get the wrong idea. I like that you phrased it as a step in the right direction im your title.
    Also there is a proper cave entrance, it has piston doors, and I've accidentally found 2 chambers already in my 1.21 world.
    Also also only about 5% (I think) of players go to the End without cheats, but the End update would still be super cool.

    I think Trial Chambers are nice, I agree about a surface entrance, I think some preexisting structures, like Mineshafts and Strongholds, could use surface entrances. I also think depending on biome would be interesting. The way we select paintings also feels archaic, getting the largest one available for space when placed, what if you wanted a 1x1 but got a 2x2?

    If we do get an end update next a great way to tie it in with the seeds planted in this update would be to:
    1. make end city ships have a vault containing the elytra instead of an item frame to help with multiplayer. The devs have already mentioned they are considering adding vaults to older structures and that’s the perfect one since the elytra is a huge resource bottle neck in multiplayer. Either use the standard keys to give them a broader use or make a new one found in the end cities chests or dropped by shulkers.
    2. Give the ender dragon a new hard mode fight as an ominous event. The ender dragon has always been kind of a push over so maybe using the new expanded scope of bad omen there would be great. Beating the harder fight could do something with the dragon egg, or unlock some other new loot.

  • @lasercraft32

    I know they said it was an update focused on combat and tinkering, and that it was just something they said, not an actual confirmed basis for the update's theme... But I wish they would have actually implemented some of the Combat Snapshot features. They just kinda gave up on it, even though it had a lot of really cool changes! And like you said, there really isn't very much "tinkering" going on in this update (unless they count having more copper blocks as "tinkering"). It would have been cool to get new functionality for the Fletching Table to fit the tinkering theme.
    Also... Missed opportunity for the Trial Chambers to have Copper and Tuff Golems, seeing as they are built entirely out of those two materials.
    (Note that this isn't me being disappointed with the update, all the things they've added so far are GREAT and I'm one of the few people who _didn't_ hate 1.19 and 1.20. I really like the direction they're going so far).

It was just sub-par to what was (rightfully or not) expected and came at the tail end of the Caves and cliffs difficulties. I do think some parts of the community massively overeacted. I really think mojang needs to start thinking bigger with updates, not for the sake of more content but in the context of how common it is to find the update's content.
    Trial chambers, armadillos, cherry grove, etc are all very specific to one biome or one structure. If you are unlucky you can miss a whole update's worth of content, which is a shame. I really do think that adding biomes rather than adjusting current ones is a misstep, as well as focusing on structures that are somewhat niche and rare.

    • @GurkisDev
      @GurkisDev หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      But the game is missing content in those areas, thats why they're adding them. Cherry grove is super common, armadillos spawn in savannah, wolves got a bunch of updates.

    • @user-tzzglsstle585e38
      @user-tzzglsstle585e38 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Trial Chambers are common and is literally not even specific to a particular biome, Armadillos spawn in two biomes with one of them being a common biome and wolves spawns pretty much everywhere at this point.
      Also, there is nothing niche about using your sword at all...? PvE and adventuring (Trial Chamber's whole thing) is literally the most expected thing for any survival game that exists ever and Trial Chambers finally acts as a proper dungeon with proper kinds of rewards instead of being stuck to mostly one-and-done and basic combat encounters.
      It's impossible to not notice any of these unless you just stay in a single place.

    One thing disturbing about recent Minecraft updates is that you can barely see the differences with the previous versions, and most of the features are kinda niche. Okay, we got new copper stuff, but then who would guess that there's a massive structure hidden somewhere underground. The best way to guess where a trial chamber is is to look for the bulging rocks in a cave. Those trial chambers have entrances, but most players would just mine through the whole structure and be faced with the entrance room and wonder what it is for. The trial chambers are great, but we need an actual entrance that entices the player to go there and play through the trial chambers normally.
