The Local Kine is another Maui wrap frame you should try. I too typically avoid wrap frames, but I decided I needed at least one nice pair. The Local Kine is what I finally landed on. I have them in the Blue Hawaii, MauiGreen, and HCL Bronze lenses.
I think you might like the HCL Bronze colorway best in that frame. The frame on that model is dark brown on the outside and tan and cream on the inside.
One thing to note about the lenses though: the Blue Hawaii, MauiGreen, and Neutral Grey lenses all share the same grey base lens. But each have a different mirror coating applied. The Neutral Grey has Maui’s bi-gradient silver mirror - which provides a true grey lens color (as the name implies).
However, the blue and green mirrors do cause a slight color shift to the grey base lens. The shift is actually the complimentary color of the mirror coloring. So the blue mirror shift gives the grey base a slightly warmer tint than it otherwise has. Sort of gray with a touch of brown added is the way it is perceived by me. The green mirror shifts the grey base to a slightly rose tint as viewed looking through them. It’s actually very pleasant and my favorite Maui lens. It’s also, I suspect, their overall darkest based on actual VLT as the green mirror seems to be applied “thicker” than the blue or the bi-gradient silver mirror.
Mirrors and their effect on lens colors is a whole can of worms that’s not easily explained in a relatively short video - or typed in a comment. However, if you have a Maui with the standard grey or the blue mirror lens to compare, it might be interesting to do a video showing the difference in view through each.
The slip in QC is troubling. Hopefully it is just a batch and has been corrected.

You are the best sunglass reviewer on TH-cam. I really appreciate the detail you include about weight, base curves about fit. I have a medium face and a sensitive nose bridge. These were doing well until you said 41 grammes! After years of Oakley Flak, Flaj 2.0, Holbrooks and Ray Ban RB4330CH Istruggle with heavier glasses these days.

I tried these on in a store and the soft tough materiel on the inside of the frames feels really nice.

Wrap arounds protect your eyes from the sun more true. But just as importantly they don't come flying off your face if cruising along on a bike, boat etc when you turn your head. Man I lost a pair of round Ray Bans on my boat once tough lesson

These are my go to. Got lots of fancy aviators, but these are what i wear all day. Mine are neutral gray with matte. They fit like a glove. Comfy as f. I wear them for 8+ hrs np. Weight hasn't been an issue for me. I prefer glass lenses and solid construction. Price ill pay. These will last me a long time too

It's good that you've shed your inhibitions about reviewing wrap around frames. They look good on you too. I wonder what was stopping you. 😎

I have a feeling the rubber parts are going to desintegrate over time

I've had mine for two years and they haven't disintegrated at all. One came loose but I superglued it and it stayed just fine. I use these on the ocean every week

Too bad every vowel needs to be pronounced Long but still tells us how they fit "good," which is grammatically incorrect. Come off the poser-speak and talk to us like a regular person; you'll sound less phony.👍
