All product links are further down 😊 ⬇️.
This is a video on how I made my Abalone ring, there may be other ways to do this but this was a great method for me, so, I hope it gives you some idea's. I absolutely love wearing mine!
A channel on another platform inspired me to try this so thanks to Personalised4U 😊😊

@Daniel Cooper I can see why it was very exciting to see you do it, and you could tell you were excited about making the ring. It is absolutely beautiful. Also, did you get my message? I left you about the black alcohol ink, I found not only the pair with the white and black but also just black alone, so I know you're always using it. I thought it would be helpful. I know you were looking for a larger bit, and you got that set that had the multiple small bottles, but this one is 4 ounces, just like your other ink from let's resin. 😀

That's awesome. Once of got my new creation centre finished I'll be trying more complicated or just fun to create stuff like this and once I work out why my phone is compacting all my videos into old fashioned box type view. Not sure if it's my phone video settings or it's my "you cut app" video editor that's changing the view after editing. I stupidly did two really good in-depth videos that wasn't over 30 mins each one was only 21 minutes which is brilliant for me and so I had them to put on my utube channel whilst working on my new creation centre. But I went to post one yesterday and if all so small even with my pixel phone and being able to make it full screen is unbearable I couldn't dare post it or the better one after absolutely peed right off as originals had to be deleted to make room in data for the finished product and making simple videos whilst I'm doing important prep work. But when everything is done new work areas and two large peg boards on the wall above with all my stuff organised so say let's resin alcohol inks are in one peg board box. Then a different set of inks, mica, glitters you know the list goes on with stuff we buy to try etc. So when doing a video I can have a clutter free work area with a few pegboard boxes/buckets are to my side the desired colours are set Infront of me ready to use and mixing containers from most yoghurt pots and similar a few silicone (don't rate them the small ones yes big ones not so much . Inaccurate and to flexible really. Too bought small handled with pouring tip like you used in this video types ready to use) and bought plastic one use but they can be cleaned or left to dry and used again with caution 😉. And everything else ready to hand but still be clutter free . Mentally it makes me make mistakes that I shouldn't be 18 in 😮😢🙆🤦🧘. And a better angle for my camera so people can see better. Also setting up my desk lamp and ring light using camera shading, reflection cloth I purchased so I don't get those horrid reflections in the resin I'm working on which can make it impossible on video to see what I'm actually doing..... My dad would say get everything set up as is best for you and your needs not another and you'll work will improve and you'll feel more relaxed in doing the job in hand. I totally agree if there is chaos all around you then only chaos will be the result... What do other say. If I knock anything over again then run round like a headless chicken trying to clean up whilst worrying about the piece I'm working on I swear it's getting launched so for now it's UV I can do on my lap with a tray to keep me busy until I can buy my supplies and create my new 100% level work area plus storage above and for big stuff and molds underneath in a metal drawered filling cabinet that will go under my working area with the resin drawer being lined with a heavy duty bin bag and then cardboard inside that for soaking up any missed dribbles . I shall be a very happy, centred resin creator again making beautiful stuff like I can 🎉😉👌🫶🤞💪👊🥂🥳

I figured out something to be able to do the smaller ring sizes. I bought a mandrel (ring sizer) and it fits nicely in the end of the turner tube. To keep it and the ring tight, I trimmed one of my silicone mats just big enough to hold the ring on and the mandrel in. The mandrel is plastic and light and extremely inexpensive, maybe $7 here in the states. Just wanted to share this with you, I've spent the whole day making the rings for family, I had so much fun. Luv your channel! ❤💛💚💙💜🌈🌠

Brilliant, I've just ordered a cup turner and some ring blanks! I think these would look great with crushed opal as well.

Daniel these are amazing and my new obsession! I’ve already made six using LR chameleon powders and they are stunning! I want to do them with the abalone shells. Can I adhere them using uv resin? I don’t have the kind you used in this video. Thank you for all your brill videos! ❤

Just ordered an abalone shell. It is going to kill me to break it up! But if I get as good a result as you it will be worth it!

It is quite hard to come to terms with at 1st, I felt awful 😖 But so worth it to know what can be made from it.

Cool! I wonder if adding black to the E6000 would work? And therefore cut out one step? Love Abalone!

Possibly, not sure if that would effect the glue?

Ha!! I was right when I guessed you used Abalone shells. What a genius way to use nature’s provisions. The rings are gorgeous!! Thank you! 🥰

Hi Daniel, just a suggestion. If you used black Stormsure glue as the initial glue to place the abalone abalone pieces you could do away with the fiddly and and potentially spoiling (if you accidentally get it on the shell) stage of the black resin. Stormsure is like a slightly flexible glue that cure in 24 hrs but is fairly fixed after 2-3hrs. Is come in black and clear. I always have some of each in my freezer (stops it going off once opened).

I wonder if you can affix a ring mandrel into the end of the turner to hold various sized rings without wrapping tape.
