the All Dressed flavour was actually created in Quebec by the owners of Yum Yum chips about 40 years before Ruffles started using it. Fun fact from the West Coast of Canada!

Being a Newfoundlander, it was awesome seeing the Purity and Newfoundland Chocolate(we support). That box was insane! They did a great job with that box! 👏 Hawkins Cheesies is a must tho.
I tried Hawkins once (They were about 25 cents cheaper than Humpty Dumpty's) and they were so bad (dry and bland) that I threw away 1/2 the bag, worst cheezies I ever ate! (To each his own, I guess)
Our packaging is bilingual English-French, as they are our two official languages. This is why companies and e-commerce websites sometimes are delayed or restricted in which of their items are getting into the Canadian market as it must comply with bilingual packaging Fun fact: Newfoundland was the last province to join Canadian Confederacy in 1949 Nunavut was our last established Northern Territory in 1999 - before that the land was all part of the Northwest Territories (I remember being in primary school when Nunavut became a territory, and the Royal Canadian Mint commemorated it on our $2 coin, the toonie 😉)

This is brilliant. What's so endearing is how respectful you are with all of the gifts you've got in this box even when you don't like it. So polite and friendly. Really enjoyed that! Thanks!
This was super cool to watch! I'm from Newfoundland and I've never watched someone else try our snacks. Also the reason Birch Beer is coloured like that is it's half root beer and half cream soda! The Newfoundland Chocolate Company also makes gelato that's amazing. If you ever come over here definitely try it!!
The Onion Rings chips/crisps was owned by the Canadian company Humpty Dumpty, and in 2006, the company was acquired in a takeover bid by Old Dutch Foods (also a Canadian company). That's why both names are on the bag. I remember as a child Humpty Dumpty brand being very popular, it's was the only brand in my area from that time period that I recall. Great video.
So glad you enjoyed the Newfoundland treats, especially the Newfoundland Chocolate Company bars! What a coincidence that this video was posted today, as they opened a new factory/cafe here in the provincial capital city, St. John's today! They make insanely good gelato (rotating 100 flavours!) and some of the richest hot chocolate drinks imaginable! The brightly-coloured rows of adjoined houses in our downtown core are the inspiration for Jelly Bean Row Houses featured on the chocolate bar packaging. Also glad to see our local biscuit/candy manufacturers Purity Factories featured in your video (makers of the JamJams, Ginger Snaps, Peppermint Nobs and Kisses Candies). The yellow wrapped Kisses are banana flavoured, the white are peanut butter flavoured, and the red are molasses flavoured. Happy to see you also liked the Pineapple Crush and Birch Beer. They are Newfoundland favourites!
Also I’ve seen Pineapple here in P.E.I, deff could find a store that has it. It just doesn’t get re stocked the few places I’ve seen it as I don’t think it sells well outside of NFLD
It would be really great if you guys could start a spreadsheet or something with all the snacks you've already tried from that country. I want to send you a package of my favourite snacks from CA/USA, but I feel like you guys have probably tried so much already! Hopefully even if you have tried something I send, you will enjoy it. 💜
Yes we do! Haha in from the south coast of NL and townies sound different from us and go even further south like Harbour Breton, NL it’s super thick on accent

Hey there great show as always. I'm actually a Newfie myself and this was particularly great to watch. By the way ginger snaps are best if dunked in a cup of tea. Keep the great videos coming guys.
I love 💕 boxes from Canada 🇨🇦. My dads from Prince Edward Island 😊. Treats vary from place to place in Canada. It’s so large. I love to visit there. Had a wonderful trip to Vancouver and Victoria BC. Also PEI. Such great food everywhere. Even the Nutella in Canada tasted better than the USA 🇺🇸. Great video and you both are so much fun to watch 😊❤️👏👍
Hi guys. That box was immense. So many crisps to try. I loved the packaging on the Newfoundland Chocolate Company bars. I have tried the wonder bar and i think it's nearer to our Starbar which is one of my favourites here x
YaY! Love that your representing the province! Wasn’t expecting to see a Newfie box when I clicked! Cream soda crush, Snow balls, Caramel logs, and tea cakes are yummy too! If you ever stumble upon the rock there is so much more to intrigue your pallets. Plus the scenery and people aren’t bad either. we’ll also have to teach ya the right way to pronounce the sayings on the bars and screech ya in 😉😊
Oh that's bad, I remember the wife pulling out a bottle of that with her step-dad who got it from his Newfie friend when he dropped by for a visit while visiting his relatives here in British Columbia. She had 2 boilmakers went to go to the loo...and hit the floor when she stood up!LOL All she said as she went down was...WEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!! That's the screach!!!!!
26:50 In french we do pronounce the letter J. I think you're confusing our language with spanish haha! And he's right, we usually don't pronunce the S at the end of words
Wonderful box of Canadians treats and many of them are my favourite. Big Turk has been my favourite chocolate bar since the 1960's. I do like the British Frye's Turkish Delight but I love the chew of the Big Turk more. The Purity Gingersnaps are another favourite but now hard to find in the stores where I live in Windsor, Ontario. Loved putting butter on them and dunking them in hot tea. I think they are my favourite store bought cookie even as a child. I have been to Newfoundland and Labrador and it is a beautiful Province.
Green candies are also often sour apple (at least in the US). Lime tends to be a slightly lighter colored green, in my experience. Some people like to put Mackintosh toffee in the freezer to make last longer to suck on instead of chew.
I think the all dressed chips probably taste more like BBQ because bbq sauce is tomato based with onion and vinegar in it ... giving them more bbq flavor rather than those other distinct flavors. My daughters dad is from Canada and they send her Humpty Dumpty chips all the time, but only the BBQ flavor which is her flavor, she says they are the best ever. I love Birch Beer ... but we get Fanta Pineapple Soda in the USA and love it. It's truly amazing how different flavors run from country to country, we share a border with two other countries here, Mexico and Canada and the foods and packaging are so different from what we are used to. I really enjoy watching the two of you try these goodies, thanks for taking the time and sharing them with us.
I live in Canada (Ottawa), and my best friend lives in Newfoundland. She sent me the Pineapple crush because we didn't have it here.. It's so good!💙 My new favorite! :D I also love all dressed and ketchup chips! Hope you have a chance to try the dill pickle flavor! Sounds weird but actually really good! Also hope you get to try a coffee crisp! It's soo good and the coffee flavour isn't over powering. Love your videos! :)
Watching your videos has made me more eager to try new candies and snack flavours, so thank you for the inspiration! I recently bought some Maynards candies that were new called "Sour Patch Kids Mango". They look exactly like Fuzzy Peaches but orange/green in colour, and are now one of my favourite candies! Not sure if they are only in Canada..
Starbar is a brand of chocolate bar manufactured by Cadbury. The bar has a chocolate covering and is filled with caramel and crushed roasted peanuts. The product is also sold in Canada and Germany under the name Wunderbar.
Wunderbar is definitely one of my favourites, and Eat-More as well, but in the hot weather, when you want to put your chocolate stuff in the fridge so it doesn't melt, they're the worst. The toffee of the Eat-More and the caramel in the Wunderbar go all hard and glass-like.

i was born in newfoundland, but i currently live in ontario. i havent been in years but i went this summer and i absolutely fell back in love with the way people live there and the scenery. if you ever get a chance to go there i highly recommend it , :)
Someone may have already posted this, but people from Newfoundland don’t like it when others pronounce it New-found-land. It’s more properly pronounced New-fin-land. Just so you know.
As a newfoundlander, yes I completely agree, everytime they pronounced it like that made me cringe, lol, Jimmy Kimmel surprised the heck out of me when he said it right.
I have a UK crunchie sitting on the table next to me as well as a Mars bar, maltesers and some smarties. I picked them up at Minnesota's largest candy store last week
"b'y" is pronounced the same as "bye", but it's a variation of "boy", and it's used as an interjection. So a common stereotypical Newfoundland-ism is "lard tunderin jeezus b'y", which is actually "Lord Thundering Jesus, boy!" in a heavy accent.
I recently ordered your British Box (still going through everything in it) and had to mention the Ham and English Mustard "crisps" I received. Holy cow, talk about flavour!! I do not recall tasting anything like it here in Canada (and I LOVE potato chips!). I like flavours to be what they claim to be. These ham chips actually tasted like ham! I was amazed. I must add that my two cats seemed to love the scent of them, as they licked my clean fingers in a frenzied fashion once I was done partaking!
Definitely not a "Newfy" thing, rather a proud Maritime tradition of flavour! Never forget Maritimers are in it together. Ontario just wants to suck the resources out of the west because it already sucked us dry 100 years ago, and Quebec just wishes it was never born. I mean for the love of god if we don't look after PEI who will!?
haven't watched it yet, but if no one has sent you a Coffee Crisp by now, I may just have to do it myself! It's one of my favourite chocolate bars, and I hate coffee lol. Seriously though, you need to try a Coffee Crisp

Macintosh is good, if you can find their bars it is so fun..."smack and unwrap" where you break the bar into smaller pieces, kinda like terry's chocolate orange there is an experience along with it.

These videos are fun to watch, and appreciate how kind you are to the ones you don't like. Have you ever got Maynard's Wine Gums before?? Jam-Jams, Butter tarts and Nanaimo Bars are all much better homemade. I didn't even know Jam Jams existed in packaging! They were certainly favourites of mine growing up - mind you, we lived not far from the Niagara region, bought their fresh fruit and my mother made her own jam. And yes, it's pronounced Joe Louie, and NewfinLAND :)

i was born in newfoundland, but i currently live in ontario. i havent been in years but i went this summer and i absolutely fell back in love with the way people live there and the scenery. if you ever get a chance to go there i highly recommend it , :)
I would love to visit! Hopefully one day! Glad you had a great time
This With Them thank you ❤️
That wonderbar sounds like the star bar that we get in the uk. Yum.
Yes! Very true
Yay! So glad to see chocolates from my area!
Yaaay!!! 😀
i like this seeing another Canadian box i mean u do get a lot of good fun U.S box. its always cool i get to see diff stuff from diff provinces!
Thank you Natasha! Yeah it's nice to sometimes have another country to try 😀
I can always tell when Alex really like something him eyebrows shoot up and he gets a looks on his face like pure joy.
Haha
Someone may have already posted this, but people from Newfoundland don’t like it when others pronounce it New-found-land. It’s more properly pronounced New-fin-land. Just so you know.
As a newfoundlander, yes I completely agree, everytime they pronounced it like that made me cringe, lol, Jimmy Kimmel surprised the heck out of me when he said it right.
Didn’t know this. Thank you for letting us know Teresa!
Totally didn’t know this! Thanks for letting us know
This With Them No problem!! Tons of people from Canada pronounce Gloucester Glow- sester! Lol!
Teresa Wideman Noo-fin-lund
Very excited to see Kate & Alex try 🇨🇦 Treats ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Yaay! Hope you enjoy watching Becky 😀♥️
Truly enjoy it Kate ❤️
"Croquant" is just the French word for crunchy!
I have a UK crunchie sitting on the table next to me as well as a Mars bar, maltesers and some smarties. I picked them up at Minnesota's largest candy store last week
Ah no way!! Hope you enjoy trying them 😀
"b'y" is pronounced the same as "bye", but it's a variation of "boy", and it's used as an interjection. So a common stereotypical Newfoundland-ism is "lard tunderin jeezus b'y", which is actually "Lord Thundering Jesus, boy!" in a heavy accent.
Haha love it, thanks for explaning
Pineapple Crush and rum is a drink match made in heaven. My neighbour is a Newfy and introduced me to it. So delicious.
Yay Canadians 🎯🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼💜
I got sooo excited when I saw the purity stuff and the newfoundland chocolate company bar. I'm also a Newfoundlander 🥰
The wunderbars remind me of our starbars we have here in the UK xx
Yes! That is true!! xx
The sour cream and onion rings are one of my favorite puffy snacks ever, ketchup lays or hickory sticks are my favorite snack of all time
I still remember the Wonderbar commercials with the Vikings. So good.
IM LIVING IN Newfoundland. Also you pronounce it (New-fend-land) :) you should try poutine
Lucy and Hammy oh they definitely wouldn’t be able to get cheese curds like we have here lol
The way they say Newfoundland is adorable!
I forgot to mention, You can always tell when Alex loves a good chip/ crisp, he puts at least 3 in his hand lol 😂
Haha you really can! And trust me when I say we cut some of the extra eating out hahaha 😂
This With Them - lol 😂💕
I recently ordered your British Box (still going through everything in it) and had to mention the Ham and English Mustard "crisps" I received. Holy cow, talk about flavour!! I do not recall tasting anything like it here in Canada (and I LOVE potato chips!).
I like flavours to be what they claim to be. These ham chips actually tasted like ham! I was amazed.
I must add that my two cats seemed to love the scent of them, as they licked my clean fingers in a frenzied fashion once I was done partaking!
Roast chicken chips aren’t a Canadian thing they’re a Newfy thing, very hard to come by in other provinces.
Not in New Brunswick. I see them everywhere here.
They’re seasonal in Ontario
I’m from Alberta we don’t have them here sometimes iga occasionally brings them in but they go exactly fast.
Maybe an east coast thing then? I'm in Ontario and never even heard of them.
I’m from Newfoundland! So excited to see this
HI SCHNEEL!!! ITS ME JASON!!!!
haven't watched it yet, but if no one has sent you a Coffee Crisp by now, I may just have to do it myself! It's one of my favourite chocolate bars, and I hate coffee lol. Seriously though, you need to try a Coffee Crisp
Haha we didn't get it in this box but we did get it in the Christmas themed Canada box!
@@ThisWithThem Hopefully with Hawkins Cheezies.
My family always bakes the eat more bar in the oven and it gets so crispy! So good!

I saw the Jamjams and I knew it was a newfie box lol. **Also, fun fact, if you comare the ingredients on a mirage bar and an aero bar, they're the same!
Anyways, mirage bars with hot coffee is so good. It is so cool that you got a newfie box. Lots of those treats are actually hard to find anywhere outside of NFL
I am so excited to see this I will be visiting Canada for the 1st time in a couple of weeks!
Ah no way! I hope you have the best time in Canada!
@@ThisWithThem I am hoping to get some treats to have my family try!!!
Where abouts?
Welcome, in advance!! 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
Welcome et bienvenue! 🇨🇦
Humpty Dumpty Potato Chips was a company started in Scarborough, Maine in the USA in 1947. Old Dutch purchased it in 2006 for 27+ million dollars and moved production to Canada. Basically they bought the name.

British products found in Save-On Foods here in BC as they partnered with ASDA. Also I'm close to 2 retro candy stores that carry imports from UK and other parts of Europe. So I'm good for my British fix.
The b’y in yes b’y is pronounced bye, my husband is a Newfie, I hear it a lot when he is talking to family out east
Thank you Julia!
This With Them “Yes b’y (meaning boy) is another way that we say “Really?” here in Newfoundland. Example: “I won the lottery!” Reply: “yes b’y?!”
Clary Hustles I know, I’m a Newfie! Just trying to explain it to them the best way I can...we have our own language here! lol
Yes u do lol - drunken Scott / Irish slur lol - love it though
I’m from Newfoundland too! Yes come from away is based in Gander, NL
Old Dutch ALWAYS!
My Grandma kept me in check in Church with butterscotch candy, from deep in the far corners of her handbag! Always made my wiggle butt be still!
Ahh how lovely!
In Canada they always put English and Canadian French on packaging
That's pretty cool!
XBOXRULES :O how’d they manage that?! Is it local products?
@@ThisWithThem Croquant = Crunchy in French :)
Macintosh is good, if you can find their bars it is so fun..."smack and unwrap" where you break the bar into smaller pieces, kinda like terry's chocolate orange there is an experience along with it.
Now why don’t we have any of these in the US? They all sound so good🥰
you guys have Tahitian Treat though.
They'd taste different in the states anyway with all the high fructose corn syrup instead of sugar 😋
Humpty Dumpty is one of the 2 original Chip makers in Canada, the other was Hostess. Both have been bought out and had their names changed.
I love hearing English native speaker try to speak French. I always smile lol
Btw, Old Dutch, best Brand !

brenda gervais No they are not at all my friend 🙂😎✌️
These videos are fun to watch, and appreciate how kind you are to the ones you don't like. Have you ever got Maynard's Wine Gums before??
Jam-Jams, Butter tarts and Nanaimo Bars are all much better homemade. I didn't even know Jam Jams existed in packaging! They were certainly favourites of mine growing up - mind you, we lived not far from the Niagara region, bought their fresh fruit and my mother made her own jam.
And yes, it's pronounced Joe Louie, and NewfinLAND :)
# chillin in Canada
😀😀
@@ThisWithThem I wish we still sold fries and gravy lays what was your favourite thing
@@casuallysilentgaming1537 😋 I bet! They were soo good!
