- A bit heavy with this one...I finally sat down to tell you guys what decision I've made! It took me awhile to really accept this decision (like literally 3+ months lol), but I made it here and I'm ready to tell you guys! Obviously this has been tough on me but I think this is the right choice.

I think part of growing up is realizing that what you thought you wanted was meant to be nothing more than a chapter in your life...and it’s okay to move on to the next chapter.🤍
Your decision is clearly rooted in your spirit. The second you said what you were doing, your demeanor relaxed, your eyes brightened. No matter what you do, you have so much support and love behind you.
As someone who lost a parent very suddenly when I was 27, I think you’ve made the right choice ❤️ Family is everything
I was going to comment the same thing. I lost my dad last year (at 27 as well). You will never regret the time spent with family!💖
I unexpectedly lost my Dad in August ( I was 26). I want to spend as much time as I can with my Mom now. It all makes me anxious now.
I feel like this year has given everyone a new outlook on life and what's important. Family is something that gets taken for granted but is not assured. I know this decision will make you happy.

Okay, but Tara's "montage" of clips where she's crying and saying "I'm just getting emotional" is a WHOLE MOOD. Literally, my life is a montage of me crying and saying how emotional I am haha. I'm glad you just let it out because that is SO MUCH better than holding it in.

You're the one of the few vloggers I've stayed watching for years now because you've valued family is. Most LA vloggers don't show that, only the events and material things. You've stayed true to your roots and that'll forever continue me to watch your vlogs!
I wasted years of my life that I could have spent with my dad and then he died it was so unexpected I thought I'd have so much more time I regret it and feel guilty everday ... I love watching you with your dad it reminds me of the good times I had with mine truly greatful you share your life with us🖤
Sending love to you ❤️ When the UK went into lockdown in March I had the choice to either move home to be with my mum and dad or stay in my flat alone. I chose to stay in my flat, visiting them occasionally. When my mum died in June, I had a lot of guilt and regret that I missed out on the last 3 months of her life and it was really tough to get past, especially as more and more people are jumping on the "covid is basically the flu" train. The only thing I can really say is that no good comes from dwelling on the things we can't change. I think about the time I would have had with her, but realistically her illness and lockdown would have ended up with us arguing constantly; by only visiting sometimes, I got to really enjoy the time I spent with her. I also know that staying away to protect her was the right choice at the time, and I had no idea how things were going to play out. It doesn't make it completely better, but it makes it a bit less unbearable. Try to think of the things you achieved, people you met, memories you made during those years - I know you would trade them all to have had longer with your dad, but focusing on feeling grateful for the things you had during that time instead might help a bit (I know it helps me) ❤️
This is why I live in the middle of nowhere I wanna be close to my mom and dad while I’m lucky to have them

I'm proud of you for allowing yourself to make the decision without any outside influence.
I'm always torn because my parents are divorced and in 2 different states but I know VERY VERY well how important it is to be near family.
In 2017 I found out that my mom had stage 4 cancer and then not long after my dad was in a horrible motorcycle accident (not his fault) and he was life flighted to the hospital. He had several broken bones, traumatic brain injury and his broken ribs pierced through his lung. He was in the ICU for 6 weeks. We were first told he wouldn't live and then we were told that he would cognitively/ neurologically be a 3 year old for the rest of his life. His memories were scattered and all jumbled up. He sometimes knew who I was and other times he didn't... He couldn't breath on his own, couldn't stand up. It was heartbreaking.
He went through a lot but eventually made a 70% recovery. He has lost the use of his left arm and therefore his job, he also has some neurological trauma.
All of this made me realize how important it is to near my family. Xo

Hi Tara, I've been following your moving story for a while now, I actually started following you just as I moved to Canada myself. I left behind my life in Barcelona because of my long distance relationship with my partner who lives in Montreal. I feel so connected to your story. I have left behind my family and friends in Barcelona to share my life with my boyfriend in Montreal. It is scary and up until now I was keeping my apartment back in Barcelona but I have decided I will also go back and close things back at home to completely start a new life in Montreal. I feel it's the best decision and honestly I've felt so connected with you through the process since you were feeling something similar to me. I appreciate so much you sharing your feeling about the move, it has helped me very very much. So big THANK YOU.

The way you’ve decided to do it is really smart! Both financially and otherwise. I definitely think you’re making the right decision with picking Toronto. You have seemed so much happier here and there’s so much space for fresh memories. Plus being able to spend time with your family while you still have them is so important. After living in another country away from my family, I appreciate the time with them so much more and don’t want to be that far again.

Yes, family is so important! After losing my dad last year I realized being with my mom is all I want to do. Is spend as much time with her as possible. Time is never guaranteed enjoy them while they are here ❤️❤️

I moved when I finished college and spent 4 years by the beach and living my life in a warmer place. Made so many amazing memories and moving across the country is such a great experience. Moving back home I felt the same as what you were explaining in this video. I appreciate seasons and I love being able to see my parents❤️❤️ I’m so so excited for a new chapter for you and so privileged we get to watch you go through it!

Right decision! I started watching you when you were dealing with your crazy neighbor in L.A. The change in your whole being since you arrived in Toronto is so dramatic. You are a much happier person. You will never regret moving near your family whereas you would have regrets living so far away from them. You probably needed that time away in L.A. to mature, become independent and find out who you are. Be proud that you have grown enough to know how important your family is to your well being. You have an awesome family.

I think that’s a great decision ❤️❤️ less stress will help you make the best and happiest decision for yourself. As I got older I always knew I’d want to be close to my family too. Vancouver will always be my home even if I move elsewhere for short periods of time. My parents, siblings and cousins are so important to me and i relate to you so much. I think you’re a very big inspiration to many people and I love how much you appreciate your family 🥰❤️

Tara, you’ve lived 6 beautiful years in LA. This drastic change is good. These past months have been extremely difficult for you and seeing you in Toronto has been amazing. You look more alive, family brings the best out in you, you seem happier and more content. I believe that this is a next step in your life that may bring different beginnings and more blessings. LOVE that game plan. I was so surprised by how insanely fast things were moving in your life, and I think it will be best for you and your mind not to be put under pressure of ANOTHER new living space until you’ve resolved all of your ties in LA. Then you get to go back, get the house in its best selling condition, see your pals, and close that chapter when you’re ready! And you just got your new apartment in Canada hahaha and I think it’s hella cozy and there are lots more memories waiting to be made there! Really happy for you, I think you made the right choice

I started watching you at the beginning of march, crazy how fast time flys. I found you as a girl who lived in california but wished you were near family, and now you made the choice to stay in Canada near you’re family. I've watched your videos since the start and a big reason why I'm in the future choosing to move to LA is because of you. I used to imagine myself living in downtown LA just like you used to and now I'm promising to make my dream into a reality in 2022. You gotta do what's best for you & I'm so happy you're choosing to spend your life in a place that makes you feel whole again.

I also watch at night before i go to sleep! But I’m in a different time zone so it gets posted at night 😂😂 it’s part of my wind-down routine. So calming and refreshing!
Your thought process behind your decision is a very good healthy middle ground. It allows you the freedom to make a choice that is best for you without feeling obligated to one choice or the other.
I so glad you waited! Even though everyone was telling you to buy it I’m 100% sure you need to come back, see your place, and do things the most organised way ✨

I would chose Toronto too. As a someone from the area, I could never deal with 24/7 summer haha! Also, for your LA place, maybe you could rent it out on airbnb or something to make money off it
We don't have 24/7 summer though 😅 Maybe it's because I was born and raised here but I can definitely feel the difference in seasons and when the season starts to change. And I definitely get cold and bundle up in the winter. The change may just be more subtle for people not from here 😉
@@NitasNiche I am born and raised in California, but lived 6 years in Alaska and when I moved back home the winter was hot to me lol. Went away after awhile though.
I’ve lived in California all my life & I feel like the seasons do change. Right now it is cold!! I just don’t think we see it as drastic as other states or countries. But I do love our weather we see snow, rain, storms, heat it’s like the best of both worlds
She said she didn’t feel like the Airbnb thing was for her haha, she just doesn’t want someone staying in her home with her things.
It’s def not 24/7 summer but it’s not too far off (in terms of the weather) but the vibe (hate that word) is so clearly different each season and that’s what the seasons feel like more
I’m so happy that you’ve gotten the clarity you’ve needed. Everything happens for a reason and L.A. was definitely something that you needed to experience but so excited for you and this new chapter in your life!

You have such a happier vibe about you in Canada! At first when you started talking about moving back while you were still in CA it kinda made me sad cause it’s been my dream to live there but seeing you in Canada has made me change my mind. You’re truly happy in Canada and I thought I loved your videos in CA(which I do) but I love them more now when you’re with your family. You can always visit CA and Jill or she can come visit you once it’s allowed to cross the boarder. I know I’m not the only one that’s been anxiously waiting to see what you decide and I think it’s great you’re moving home!
