When I was a freshman, I had a professor in college who would lock the door and wouldn’t let any of the students open the door if someone came in late. Only she was allowed to open it and before she would open it, she would ask who it was. Her reason for doing this was in case there was an active shooter, they wouldn’t have easy access to come inside our classroom. Some teachers really do go out of their way to protect their students.

I don’t think you understand how elementary schools work children aren’t young adults. There are two teachers per class and they have joining rooms. Locked doors aren’t the solution Lmaoo, a door won’t stop a high velocity bullet. The cops were outside and were to scared and lacked balls to go in the line of fire. The teachers showed more bravery than the cops. They had a resource officer and he did nothing, they had a good guy with a gun and ir didn’t do anything. We need to stop letting people military weapons so easily, if you want a rifle there should be a requirement like in New Zeland that requires you to have three character witness letters. 18 year olds who are clearly disturbed shouldn’t be able to buy guns so easily

this is the absolute WORST protocol I have ever heard of. rule #1, you do NOT respond to ANYONE until the area is cleared. I'm 28 and learned that in elementary school. I can't believe this officer was telling kids to respond to him while there was an ACTIVE SHOOTER roaming the halls. all doors need to be closed and LOCKED. this is just something that never should have happened. and for a state that is "so proud" of their guns, this shooter should have been shot on the SPOT when he was walking AROUND the school with an AR-15 around his neck. just disgusting.
also, current gun laws ARE an issue. if you're not old enough to DRINK at 18, what in the HECK makes you think that an 18 year old SHOULD OWN A GUN?!

Honestly, I’m kinda suspicious of his home life. Given the fact he stole his grandmother’s truck...this implies that he didn’t own his own car. Also, he crashed...so perhaps he didn’t even have a license. He was 18 and incapable of controlling his own social life as evidenced from the fact he texted that his grandmother was shutting his service off. He also dropped out of highschool and lived in a rural area.
So...you have a young adult who is being controlled completely by another, given hardly any freedom, and....oh dear he just sounds like me at 18 lol. I’m betting he was also a foster kid. Oh and extra points that the grandparents were old fashioned conservative?
To me this sounds like an abused teen who had the entire world turn against them once they turned 18 cause he wasn’t allowed to control his life until he turned into an adult and was magically expected to fix everything himself. He realized how impossible this feat would be and subconsciously chose children. Cause to him he likely died as a child thanks to such restrictive parenting laws.

This happens because we are lied to by the government on the power of emotion and thought also are reality. They have so much tech and knowledge on brainwave and controlling minds and keep it from the public for their own good my question is why does this always happen when a Democratic leader is in office and why do the Democrats want to take our guns away so bad. That's a lot scarier than a few people getting shot. My sympathy to the families who lost their children. But we the people need to stand up and recognize that our emotions thoughts and vibration are what cause negative outcomes. The curriculum they teach our kids is 1900s it's obviously try to keep us dumb. do your research gain control over your own mind and teach your kids.

That text dialogue is unusual. It reads like a script. It seems odd that the shooter would say "I'm going to go shoot up an elementary school". There's too much intentionality in that statement. Most males who do something like this are violent in their use of language. This guy didn't use any strike words such as ".....a f-ing elementary school" or something more heinous as to convince the person they're communicating with that they're dead serious. An 18 year old would want to be taken seriously about this and would also want the person to beg them not to do it. It's the power play and the being talked down because they're such a threat and powerful that appeals to them. Then, he's an alleged full of rage lone wolf yet he's talking to a girl, takes a break to shoot his grandma, and then goes back to send a text update to the girl to tell her what he did and he makes sure to note that he's going to now go shoot up an elementary school. Ok. Then he gets in full metal gear, drives erratically and wrecks his truck, then walks into the school and starts killing people....little kids. What type of shooter is this methodical?
On the one hand he's texting like it's an average day yet on the other he's driving out of control and totaling his truck going from control to out of control as if on cue. Did no one witness that type of accident that occurred in broad daylight? The shooting happened 15 minutes after he shot grandma, sent a text, got dressed in gear, drove, wrecked his car, went into the school, etc... How far did he have to drive and then walk to get to the school? The timeline doesn't really make sense.
Also, this town is allegedly super small and close knit yet no one seems to know this guy?? Where did he get the money to buy expensive guns, ammo, etc...? And, what's with the officers not going into the building to help those kids?? This is a horrible situation. President Biden needs to give $60 billion to education to secure schools, get cameras in all schools, electronic access systems, give all teachers panic buttons, a universal data base on gun purchases, etc.... If they really want this to stop, every family should take out $100,000 life insurance polices on all family members. Once insurance companies realize they'll have to pay out for unanticipated deaths, they will demand reform and put pressure on the government to act. No 18 year old boy should be able to purchase weapons like this. Even the drinking age is 21 so no one under 21 should be able to even purchase a firearm and there should be EXTENSIVE documentation on everyone who buys a gun. This guy allegedly purchased two weapons and 375 rounds within the same week and he'd just turned 18. Something is off about all of this. Last, why aren't they posting more photos of the killer? They clearly have his social media information and his phone. If not, where did the text conversation come from? I just can't believe this is the ONLY conversation he had about shooting and killing people. He purchased those weapons for a reason...knowing he was going to kill regardless of if grandma made him mad about his phone on that particular day.

A similar thing happened in Las Vegas when the LVPD waited quite some time before rushing in and taking out the gunman. The officers and the command for said unit(s) should be stripped of their ability to be police and they should be hit HARD with fines. I don't give a f*ck about the argument, "You never know how you'll react until you yourself are in that situation." Bottom line is that officers commit themselves to serving and protecting. Look at the officers that rushed the sniper all those years ago. These officers should be penalized to the utmost degree.

I’m surprised your comment got thru TH-cam censors. They don’t like us talking about that “event” in Vegas.

Cops take their time because their lives at the end of the day is more important.

Before you go judging officers, you should put yourself in their shoes or apply if you think you could do better. They are humans to not robocops with mindless computers in their brains that can be rebuilt they have kids at home so yeah I don't know if I would run into a building with a guy with an AR shooting everybody and all I have is a handgun or shotgun. If the SWAT team isn't there really can't blame public officers that are not equipped to deal with shooter. Their job is writing traffic tickets not jumping in front of bullets
