One more enhancement for the LEDs, hook them up to your turn signals so that when you are making a turn they will flash with your tow vehicles turn signals. You can use blocking diodes to isolate from the tow vehicle when you are parked and just using them at night. Maybe even a switch that allows each side to be independent of the other while parked. Just a thought.
@@donaldhoudek2889 I'm actually replacing the corner weatherstripping on mine with larger aluminum L brackets and I'm putting a groove through one edge so I can mount an LED straight up it. The front will be amber to go with the running lights and the back will be red, keyed into the brakes and blinkers. Excellent idea!!
I like the turquoise choice, but I may be late in the game. I love the build! Truly you both have patience and drive that can't be matched! Love all the personal touches. So not boring, and so clever.
Having rebuilt/reno'd a few Airstreams myself, I have to say you have done an excellent job. Plenty of fresh ideas - Airstream should take notes. Enjoy the fruits of your labor! How much does the Bambi weigh now, gross weight and tongue weight?
Your hubby is a genius! With all the tech/electronic upgrades you are saving your backs so much wear and if one of you does happen to injure their backs, you will still be able to function in your RV. Honestly Air Stream should take notice of what you have accomplished. Your bathroom is so user friendly and incredibly useful when not being used as a bathroom! Love it!
I like it. Your choices appear very well thought out. The turquoise may be the best choice, since it will match the wheels, that way, when people notice it, they'll think it's clever (or factory). I look forward to reports from the road.
Wow! Two extremely talented, smart young people. Thanks for sharing your journey and being such an inspiration of love, collaboration and a what looks like a rock solid relationship. Just lovely to watch you both. The Airstream is amazing and I am happy that you saved that vintage piece above your sleeping area and incorporated it into your updated design.
You 2 are amazing- a team as married couples are meant to be. Good to have somebody you can rely on. Together, you 2 can do anything you set your mind to do.
i vote led strip around the outside. Also I polished my airstream with rotary buffer and NUVITE aluminum polish. It's aircraft polish and it works so much better. It's a lot faster and you can get a mirror finish with it. I used the grade C and then finish grade. I tried polishing the same way your doing it but I couldn't get it to look right, I wanted it to look like some pictures you see. They look like they were glowing super bling. The trick is aircraft aluminum polish. And the best one is Nuvite Nushine polish. It's expensive like $70 or $80 for each grade and you need to use at least 2 grades. Like the finish grade and one step under that. It is so worth it you will be amazed it takes it to whole different level.
For the oven you probably need to adjust the igniter on the oven. There’s plenty of videos on here that will show you how to adjust the contact point. Just bend it a little closer.
Very nice work, you both found out an airstream is like rebuilding and airplane that tows behind you. Now you can enjoy for decades, maybe with some children?
Love your kitties.❤❤I’m so impressed how you both are so young and so talented! Good for you both. You are doing an amazing job. 🤗 Yes to the turquoise!
Looks great! I'm slightly disabled and this motivates me to get to a few projects I have (restoring a small tractor). Thanks for doing this. Quality work, quality build, just awesome!
I absolutely loved watching the both of you giving that Airstream a new life. Maybe a light strip on the upper bumper area with a turquoise color in it. Don’t stop what you are doing because it’s working perfectly !!!!!
I've had an airstream Argosy almost identical to yours for years, and it also has an electric jack on front, and i wish it was a crank. Once i was camping at a music festival and it was time to go, but the electric jack wouldn't turn on, so i couldn't move. I thought i was going to have to saw it off with a jack saw when i fiddled with something that got it working. I thought, "if it had a crank, it wouldn't have this problem." And the cranks are easy to use and just as fast as the motors.
Absolutely over the top 🏁 love the ceiling stars; And the creativity of the shower and the monitor televator. Although not a TT for full time, perhaps a week or two.. that’s about it ..The Eletric Jack is the way to go. Gold outer strip. Better yet an LED outer strip; will look like it came out of “Area 51”
a wonderful build! and on a total side note, the cupwasher is genius! Not just that of course. I love the ceiling in the bedroom and the other references to the original look.
Beautiful job! That was a tremendous undertaking. Talent met a opportunity coupled with determination and dedication. Enjoy the completely refurbished Airstream.
First :YAY! a video to watch! Second : How is your knee healing? Third: I think you should paint the line starting from the back the color of the bus, the van, and then add in Pippa"s fur colors[ And the new kitty] in a strip going towards the door opening, leave the last part the same shiny metal at the door. Hooray for a wonderful self made home with fancy gadgets! It looks so cozy! and well laid out! shivering black bell thumbs up!
That's such a creative idea, I love it!! My knee has been healing pretty well. I still can't run but am slowly making progress everyday so I can't complain. Thanks for asking 😊
You all did an incredible job, and pretty much convinced me I don't want to ever renovate an Airstream, lol. Learning and renovating a house is hard enough. Good for you for seeing it through! I am curious how you keep the shower from making a wet mess in the van that would cause future problems? Surely the curtain is not enough to keep the water in?
It’s an incredible build and you deserve to enjoy it after all the challenges and hard work! The exterior strip- something fun and funky that makes you happy.
I remember the vídeo when u guys started....it s really great see u2 and all the things u r doing....keep going...greetings from Brazil, the only country a convict criminous became President😢😢😢😢
If you have any leftover bamboo strips, those might make a classy trim strip for the exterior. Otherwise, picking up the turquoise from the wheels is cool, too! But, you two have great taste in design, so I'm sure whatever you decide on will be great. Really lovely restoration and modification!
That is STUNNING! Once again, you two have leveled up and blew me away! I LOVE the idea of that strip matching that color on the tires (wheels?) but that's because it's one of my favorite colors. 😏 Thank you for sharing it with us!
It might be cool to get a pair of vintage Airstream hubcaps for your wheels, along with white sidewall tires. Or, have a pair custom made, maybe Art Deco, and a bodystrip made to match?
Pretty sweet! I remodeled my 34’ Excella 1000. I didn’t do a frame off so couldn’t add all those cool features, but I think it looks better than any new one on the market.
I know this video was made a looooong time! I hope your leg is allright! :) Really loved to see you guys working on the Airstream and sad I can't buy it... (EU resident) But! Cand apple red stripes would loveley match the lining. :) (I want this trailer soooooooooooooooooooo baaaaad!)
Absolutely Beautiful... U guys did such a amazing job on your rig i love it n U Both . Safe Travels Always God Bless Y'all.. Mucho Love From Your Friend In Michigan Tam 💜💜

An LED strip light on the exterior would be the modern / smart upgrade
You, my friend are a genius! That'd be epic!!
I agree! One that changes color so you can have some versatility.

Literally come here to say that, totally agree
Really, really impressive job - what a transformation! I love the Airstream, no matter what model - a classic!

Torquise. for sure. Amazing use of space.
Very nice camper. A very strong recovery too. God bless.
Thank you!!💛
RV builders, take notice. Very impressed with the finished product. Deep bow.
That is such a great layout! It looks very comfy. Love the cats too!!
You 2 are amazing- a team as married couples are meant to be. Good to have somebody you can rely on. Together, you 2 can do anything you set your mind to do.
Y’all built a beautiful, practical, and amazingly functional trailer! I really admire your hard work and your tenacity, awesome job!
I really respect people doing it big and right with the intent of living in it full time. Such a beautiful and inspiring job!!! Happy travels.
I'm not an RVer but I enjoy watching these videos and seeing the clever use of space.

Great job. Nice to see all your hard work pay off.
It seems so small looking at it from the outside, yet so spacious inside. Great job!
Seriously amazing with what you did there. Its small, and cozy, but with soo much storage and amenities.
For the oven you probably need to adjust the igniter on the oven. There’s plenty of videos on here that will show you how to adjust the contact point. Just bend it a little closer.
This is the most amazing THING I've seen. Just amazing. Jay is a bona fide genius.
There is an Airstream gathering in my town this weekend!
I bet that's a ton of fun!!
Match the tires. Love it. Looks Awesome ❤❤❤❤❤
Art shows are the best place to buy a favorite mug.
Very nice work, you both found out an airstream is like rebuilding and airplane that tows behind you. Now you can enjoy for decades, maybe with some children?
What a great and smart job. 55k seems cheap for all the interesting touches you incorporated. Truly unique; congrats!
Wow! What a beautiful build, and you've figured out how to cram 1600 square feet into a baby airstream. What cool and creative workmanship.
I"m glad to see the knee is healing nicely. Love the AirStream and I'm seeing some ideas that I may want to incorporate when I build a camper.
Love your kitties.❤❤I’m so impressed how you both are so young and so talented! Good for you both. You are doing an amazing job. 🤗 Yes to the turquoise!
Congratulations you have done an absolutely magnificent job on this renovation extremely well thought out and built
Wow. You guys sure did amazing job on your airstream build ❤ A lot of work but so worth it. Happy traveling 👍👋
I put a cup rinser in my house... lots of fun 😊
Looks great! I'm slightly disabled and this motivates me to get to a few projects I have (restoring a small tractor). Thanks for doing this. Quality work, quality build, just awesome!
Really innovative and a high quality build. Impressed that you took on an Airstream.
Our favorite people 🥰 our favorite tour! You guys created the most magical spaces honored to be your first guests 😂
I absolutely loved watching the both of you giving that Airstream a new life. Maybe a light strip on the upper bumper area with a turquoise color in it. Don’t stop what you are doing because it’s working perfectly !!!!!
Guys what a gorgeous little home you created, love it!!!

Amazingly multi-talented ! Both of you , Beautiful finish .
Great job, love seeing couples working together.

Gold outer strip. Better yet an LED outer strip; will look like it came out of “Area 51”
Incredible!! It's gorgeous, but then, you already know that!
Beautiful build. But wouldn’t expect anything less from you guys. Always the best. Xoxo
You're right, Kels, Jay is a genius. Beautiful job. ❤
a wonderful build! and on a total side note, the cupwasher is genius! Not just that of course. I love the ceiling in the bedroom and the other references to the original look.
Awesome!! Remodeling these things is so much work, but totally worth it. We’re working on one right now too!
Great work you two put into this. I enjoyed see how you guys reworked this trailer and the upgrades you put into it.
Absolutely amazing build! Y’all are so talented ❤❤
A great piece of work. Very artistic.
Absolutely stunning, Respect. Airstream would be proud of this one.😊
Put in led strip so you can have what colour you like. The position is ideal for led. Love the build. Stay safe J.
Great to see you're mending Kels. GREAT job on the AIRSTREAM guys, may the roads always be good for you
Thanks Paul!!!❤

@@KelsAndJay I also agree with another person about a LED light. Thanks for acknowledging me 😍.
impressive. Nice work. Love all the details.
wow, that's pretty cool, I wonder what you guys could do with a narrow boat, so many innovations in that Airstream of yours.
You all did an incredible job, and pretty much convinced me I don't want to ever renovate an Airstream, lol. Learning and renovating a house is hard enough. Good for you for seeing it through! ITS ABSOLUTELY STUNNING!!!!! WELL DONE AND FANTASTIC FUTURISTIC AIRSTREAM.... MUY BONITA!👍👍👍🤙🤙
AMAZING! Gorgeous. Practical. Well thought out. The bathroom turned out even better than I thought it would.
Put led lights in that outside channel. Then you can change colors with your mood
That was phenomenal. You did a fantastic job. I'm so impressed.
Fantastic you too. ❤ very inspirational.
Mind blowing build congratulations! Super impressive!
Great job, hope you have been able to take it to some Vintage trailer rallies. They are super fun.
It’s an incredible build and you deserve to enjoy it after all the challenges and hard work! The exterior strip- something fun and funky that makes you happy.
What you both did is amazing. Just amazing.
Beautiful! I vote for turquoise.

awesome build. exterior cat litter cleanout access would be cool. just like the laundry chute.
Wow. Incredible. I also build trailer and I know how much work it is. Like the details. Like the hidden shower. Great Job!
just....WOOOOOOW !!! - I love it❣ you are very strong humans..
You two did an awesome job, hope you enjoy it for many years. How's the knee coming along?
torquise! & love your airstream dream! with kitties heaven!
Awesome guys, great achievement & looks amazing, well done 👍😎
Well done.
Put an LED (motion sensor) light for the litter box...that would be nice!
Axe Pheonix Body Wash is the best body wash for removing grease/grime/associated mechanical dirt.
Simply WOW!!!!! How about some Burgundy color?
Satisfying light switches!
I really like many of your solutions. The kitchen, in particular.
Nice job
great tour. turquoise on the stripe!
Cool! Turquoise, and led strip sounds fun, several colors for the mood😂
Beautiful work!
Bright citrus orange color for the strip would compliment the tire color!
This looks beautiful. Congratulations
That strip being black would match the door and the other black things on the trailer. :) nice and simple but also sleek.
That is STUNNING! Once again, you two have leveled up and blew me away! I LOVE the idea of that strip matching that color on the tires (wheels?) but that's because it's one of my favorite colors. 😏 Thank you for sharing it with us!
