Thanks for uploading this what a treasure to have captured this on film & get to see & hear Keith in his younger Days. Even back then seeing this just shows how good & talented he really was. Last -the song ask will you miss me when I'm gone? Answer:Yes Tremendously.
The answer is yes. Yes I miss you. I miss you every day. Your mom is gone. So is Mary. They were fabulous people. Your mom gave me the big penny you bought at the White House gift shop when you played Jimmy Carter’s inaugural party. I kept all the shirts your mom gave me and the road jacket you had made for Mary. She gave it to me one of the times I stayed with her and Ferrell. Ferrell is gone too. He loved you more than anything. Randy refinished a guitar for me with your pictures and a custom pick guard like he made for you. Randy and Kaye miss you everyday too. It’s sad knowing you’ll never see the emptiness you left in so many people’s lives. You’d never believe how much you meant to us. May will be 35 years and the pain hasn’t eased one bit. We miss you Keith and there will never be another like you. You truly were one of a kind.
Now, this is a memorable clip! And it's one of my latest finds. I love discovering things I've never seen before, especially videos and anything else featuring the legendary Keith Whitley.
Yeah, Ralph had some talented singers. But looking at who sounded best with Ralph there was Roy Lee and then there was everyone else. Died at age 29. What a shame. And Ralph really liked Roy. He respected him a great deal.
@@scottiemillard4459 Wish there were more like you. Mention the name Roy Lee Centers to some of the new people and they would have no idea who you’re talking about.
I will say That Keith Whitley was as good as Roy Lee Centers because Ralph said Keith was as good as Carter. The bottom line is there all gone an they were all treasures
@@derickkeaton5440 Whoever happened to be singing lead with Ralph always was “the best I’ve had since Carter.” After they quit his band then, according to Ralph, they weren’t worth a darn.
I don't know the date of the show, but for certain he was less than 20. The other guitar player who sang lead was Roy Lee Centers. He was murdered on May 5, 1974. Whitley was born July 1, 1954.So the oldest he could have possibly been was a few months shy of his 20th birthday. And, of course, he might have been a few years younger than that, again depending on the date of the show.

Sounds like lee roy centers
Who was that singing after Ralph, he ( Keith) clearly took something from his singing. Influencial
He doesn’t look much more than 16.
