      @@hassandiallo5326pretty sure you're the ignorant one here. You're replying to a dua with criticism. And regarding your point, the abrogation of verses is a scholarly opinion, not a matter a pillar of faith. His full-time job is studying Quran, he has an institute for teaching Quran, he is a student of the Quran. And then there's you, who is judging not only one but two people on TH-cam because you think you know better. If Noman Ali Khan believes something about the Quran, it's obviously because he studied about it in-depth. I'm sure if you said that to his face, you'd be humbled by the amount of proof he would give you for his argument. As I said before, you're the ignoarant one. The world doesn’t come to the aid of certain communities but it helps other communities. I wish to learn more about what the Quran says about race and identity and I will inshaAllah.

      American exceptionalism probably has more to do with it. Muslims in America are more likely to be isolated and without muslim community, generally less religous, and their offspring are more likley to apostate sadly, 1 in 4 according to one study if i recall correctly.
      I don't say this with any pride or partisanship but those are things that have been documented though researched. American muslims are usually used by right wing neoliberal types to criticise European Muslims for not "integrating" enough.
      My worry is that people absurdly start looking to the US as some sort of model for the rest of us. Sadly far from that, it is.

      The US is only a few hundred years old, and any immigrant can lay claim to the title American as the Europeans are not natives. This makes assimilation and "acceptance" easier. Whereas in the UK, Muslims, who have contributed far more to the UK and the Muslim community than their US counterparts, are still clashing with the natives because they are seen as outsiders.

    • @paramount6012
      @paramount6012 26 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @@MadingoY-b2m The reason for the apostatacy rate being 1 in 4 is skewed due to the rate at which Iranians leaving Islam. When you look at other ethnic groups in the US the apostacy rates are similar to the UK. One thing I have noticed in the UK is that the majority of Muslims are poor and uneducated where in the US they are wealthy and educated

    • @fabs99
      @fabs99 25 วันที่ผ่านมา +3

      Many Muslims in the UK have a very good standard of living. They are upwardly mobile in all the professions and have very well established businesses. Muslims are also very active in government and politics, much more so than the US. Also the masaajid in the UK are very well established and very active in a host of educational and community development activities. I find it surprising that American Muslim scholars who regularly visit the UK can be so shortsighted about the Muslim community in Britain, which is so active and vibrant.

    I have a love hate relationship with noman Ali khan. I remember I used to train hard, and this guy did a lecture about making muscles? is that what you live for. Now he's training. He talks about American Muslims as if they are so advanced but I'm gonna be real the majority of them are American first Islam 2nd. Yes Americans have really good scholars but still he talks of America as this great place and when I go there the racial tension is on another level. And also sometimes he says Quranic interpretation that for a layman like me couldn't agree with but I thought ok he's knowledgeable then I see so many people correct him time and time again. I do like him but at the same time I don't take his views as the gold standard, also I expected more from the blood brother podcast. You guys literally gave him the bubble wrap treatment ask him the questions you are known for. Even you guys took the knee for him. It could be because America is so vast everyone is spread out, everyone is an immigrant and there aren’t many indigenous Americans left. But here we are all like sardines all rubbing each other up the wrong way, lots of friction, depressing weather, people complaining all the time. And most importantly we live with the actual indigenous majority who often remind us we are not from here. Still the UK a great place to live for Muslims but we have our problems.

I am trying to understand the meaning of the following verse #106 in Surah Al Baqarah; "Whatever a Verse (revelation) do We abrogate or cause to be forgotten, We bring a better one or similar to it. Know you not that Allâh is able to do all things?"

      Aisha رضي الله عنها clearly stated in Sahih Bukhari that a certain verse was abrogated. If we follow the likes of nak, it would be as if we consider Aisha رضي الله عنها less knowledgeable and infact a liar. Astaghfirullah

    30 years ahead in what sense? American Muslims have 0 influence on the politics in America. They might have Muslim docs engineers but the UK also has a lot of docs lawyers, as well as mps councillors mayor's which the US doesn't have. They have some big very beautiful mosques and a lot less sectarianism but the UK has a lot more Muslim populated areas where one will find halal food masjids etc. As for walking into a coffee shop and no one caring what background you are. That's the case in UK urban areas too. In smaller less diverse areas it's more of an issue which is also the case in America. Living in nice areas in a bubble is similar to living in a ghetto in a bubble. One becomes too proud of their country because they're living the high life and the other becomes too proud of their nationality culture because they're living in a bubble in their country.

      @@AdamKhan-f9i That’s because in the US, with the exception of Native Americans, everybody else is or descends from immigrants, who adopted this new “American” identity.
      In Europe every single country has their native people, and muslims refuse to identify themselves with their nee home, and in a lot of instances, the country they themselves were born in, but rather they still see themselves as from where their ancestors came from.
      I am a Spanish revert and I am extremely proud of my Islam, as I am of my heritage.
      Now, that’s one thing, but it’s a completely different story to derive from their societal cohesion that somehow Islam is better and stronger in the US, when the whole Islamic West looks in horror and disbelief at the statements that come from the US muslim leaders, which many a time border Kufr.
      The UK is the stronghold of Islam in the West, that’s why I moved from Spain to the UK. And anybody who implies that the US somehow is a better place for muslims lives in lalaland🤷🏻‍♂️

    Quran cant be seperate from the ahadith, fiqh, usool, seerah, etc
    They all go hand in hand.
    Thats when we get to appreciate living islam rather then just theoretical appreciations. I'm definately sure that quran has given a law or system to be implemented to protect falistin,rohingya, uighuyr, kashmir,shaam, khurasan, etc

      @ it’s pretty complicated subject you need a scholar to teach you that and show you the evidence from the Quran of the sunnah, but from what I know, naskh, or abrogation in the Quran primarily concerning commands and prohibitions applies only to legal rulings and moral guidance, not to miracles or signs (ayat) that affirm GOD existence.
      (2:106)
      Any revelation We cause to be superseded or forgotten, We replace with something better or similar. Do you [Prophet] not know that God has power over everything?
      (16:101)
      When We substitute one revelation for another- and God knows best what He reveals- they say, ‘You are just making it up,’ but most of them have no knowledge.
      And from the hadith
      (Sahih Muslim 1406)
      And an example from the sunnah
      O people, I had permitted you to contract temporary marriage with women, but Allah has forbidden it (now) until the Day of Resurrection. So he who has any (woman with this type of marriage contract) he should let her off, and do not take back anything you have given to them (as dower).

    Not sure I agree with his take on Muslims in the UK having a harder time than Muslims in the US and I don't think the Muslims in the US are 30 years ahead. The dynamics in each country are different. But the Muslims in the US have felt marginalised, especially after Trump's comments regarding stopping Muslim immigration. No politician in the UK has ever made such a direct comment about Muslim immigration. The Muslims in the US also have a very heavy weight on their conscience regarding the US's unwavering support for Israel and the Billions of dollars it gives Israel in military aid and hardware, making the US complicit in the ongoing genocide in Gaza. As well as the US's role in the so called, 'War on Terror' and the destruction of Iraq, Afghanistan and Syria. And what about the US's disgusting and inhumane treatment of Muslim prisoners in Guantanamo, which is still ongoing. So American Muslims have all this to grapple with. Have American Muslims done enough to speak up against their country's foreign policy? Frankly, I don't think they have. If I were Dilly, I would have put these questions to Nouman.
