    I'm an old fart and remember when that model was new. Not too far before that, they didn't have power steering and you had to drive them backwards to keep the engine cool. That little loader is a dandy. The great thing is that a guy can work on them himself.

    that was cool and interesting. Tim looks like a good employee, he has a good temperament for farming-ranching. In the next video we'll see Tim applying the wet tire shine to the Loader and buffing the tires....the more he works on it the more he'll own it and love it.

    Seems that you have the same weather pattern as we do here in north central Ohio. We didn't have any rain since we planted at the end of April. Then about 2 1/2 weeks ago it's started pouring and has rained pretty much everyday since. We just finished cutting two fields of first cut this morning. Hopefully it will dry out for a few days like the weatherman is saying.

    Stick welding produces a stronger weld especially with 7018 rod and less porosity than mig welding. I like how nice your old loader runs looks like a reliable old timer

    That international is in great shape I have a friend who uses one for snow in tight parking lots all winter he restored his and I think yours in better shape. If it don't cost you anything but fuel to run it its a good machine cabs a little small I think the squatch feels trapped in there

    Have to admit that I'm jealous of you welding. When I was just out of high school many years ago I worked on the maintenance crew at a brick making plant. There is where I learned to stick rod arc weld and cut with a torch. Arc welding is great whenever you get to do it but it's even better when you get to fabricate something with new metal. Keep up the good work!

    What type of welding rod are you using to weld the strap to the pin? If it is anything other than a LH7018, you will be out of luck as the pin is most likely made of harder metal than what the strap is made of and weld will fail if the pin can not rotate when the fork is tilted. Not saying that it will cure the problem entirely but it will last a lot longer than a E6010 or any other type that does not have the rating of a LH7018

    I don't want to offend you and I love your videos, but has anyone ever mentioned that you sound live Eugene Levy? In one of your videos could you do us a favor and shout, "Davenport! Get Mr. Griswald's car back and bring it back here". Or maybe you could say, "If you thinking of taking the tribe cross country, this is the automobile you should be using; the Wagon Queen Family Truckster. You think you hate it now...but wait 'till you drive it".
    You would make my day if I could hear you say one of those lines.

    Tim, talk nice to that old loader and she'll serve you like a slave. Keep dissing it and it'll die at the worst moment. It's a good machine and most importantly it pays for itself over and over. A newer more comfortable loader will kill you with interest repayments well before the maintenance costs tie their noose. Thanks once again OLF. Your loyal subscribers don't mind waiting for your vids. Keep having fun. I sure as hell had fun watching the weed eaters.

      I have a 25 year old 4x4 that has lapped the earth 10 times (440, 000 km) and the only time she let me down was when I went fishing without her and didn't apologise after. The monday after I got back she threw a wire off the coil half way to work. The moody cow won't start in winter unless I ask nicely and pat her on the wheel.

    How in the fuck did you get an old International 6 cylinder to start so easy and not smoke out the neighbourhood. You can't give them a sniff of crack because of the glow plugs. The old loader loads hay that's what counts who cares if it rattles and squeeks.

  • @michaelowen1750

    If the weld breaks again- make a new flat piece with a hole in it thats smaller than the pin- then weld the hole full- called a plug weld and they hold better than an edge weld... also- make sure your pin isnt wobbling too much in loose bushings

    • @kevinwillis9126
      @kevinwillis9126 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Michael Owen maybe elongate the bolt hole so it has a bit of movement and use a nylock nut so it can move a bit to compensate for wear on the pin..

      Keith Brettell They have a German Neuss D310 6cyl. in them. Allison two speed twin turbine transmission. At least that is what my 3820A has which is the same tractor turned around with the engine in the front with a loader and backhoe.
