I'm a huge fan of parallax, so #1 was pretty impressive. I have a friend I cut with who started cutting Island Agates 5 or 6 years ago, and tells me guy he got them from said they are from Indonesia. But I look at the maps and see hundreds of islands. I think the sellers of these agates who know the source want to keep it secret. I can't blame them.
How do I get on your friends list for the ones you don't want to get polished or keep. Your friend in OK got some nice ones for sure. I would fall out of the chair if I cut one that was even a 10th as nice as the ones here one you channel. Thank you for sharing I just started RH this spring 2024 and was hooked day one. I have only cut about 10 rocks no agates yet. I learned SO much I haven't got the courage or skill set yet to cut the agates I have been practicing on the other Jasper. Chert Quartzite that I have
@@joshuaritter-agatebay I was really just joking around. Especially with your friend sending you such nice specimens. I have noticed in the rock hounding community here that everyone is very kind, welcoming and all-around nice people thanks for sharing your work love it!
Wow! Even the fractured agates were absolutely stunning! 5 was definitely my favorite ❤
Beautiful pieces
No.1 was my favorite, no.5 was also a contender, gr8 vid, thanks Josh😊
My experience in cutting them have had similar results. But holy moly the odd one slips in and is spectacular!
My favorite was no. 5, until I saw no. 6. Beautiful colors, very vibrant!

They come from Gilligan's Island! I heard it straight from the guy selling them when I asked, "which island?". 😎
