2014: the best part of the starting lineup is that you have more than 40 unique heroes to choose from!
2018: 8 characters.
I think it's better to start with a small roster and having to unlock the rest of the fighters along the way, a 50-60 figheters starting line-up would be too overwhelming

I am scrolling through the comments and I mostly see people being hyped and happy about the game. They can still ask for more if they want. I'm happy to pay money for more DLC. People ask for more stuff, they release more dlc then people pay money and everybody wins!
I am happy with the game, but I can still be sad about not being able to play as Ridley. I have wanted to play as Ridley since the days of melee so ya.
It is impossible to please everyone, but at the very least, don't take anything out. Look what happened with the cuts... Regardless, still great, but...

Timed was all we played when I was a kid. I remember having to try to convince the others to do stock battles every once in a while.
Nowadays I'm actually trying to convince my friends to do timed battles every now and again, because I don't like having to wait if I'm one of the first people to lose in a 3+ player FFA stock match.

To me that either means 3 things:
-Krystal might not be on the SF team in future SF games :(

Interesting how this was the 1st time they announced DLC for Smash after I believe they said there won't be any. Of course no one believed them with MK8 getting DLC.

So this is Nintendo admitting that the Wii U version is better and the 3DS version was only meant to hold us over.
Except for the 3ds version can be taken to conventions, long bus rides, etc.
I never said the 3ds version doesn't have it's perks, but for normal play at home the Wii U version is clearly superior

That was really, really entertaining! The announcer is freakin' awesome. Reminds me of those old "How To" Goofy cartoons with the 4th wall breaking narrator.
As for the video itself, I was overwhelmed and extremely impressed by the amount of content the Wii U version has. I particularly loved 8-player Smash and the concept of new levels like the DKC and Great Cave Offensive ones. While I'm not particularly fond of Mewtwo, I'm glad Nintendo is listening to the passionate fans who want him as a playable character again.
sonicgalaxy27 I'm surprised we didn't get a DuckHunt reveal too, but Dark Pit I'm not surprised, since he was kind of revealed in Palutena's trailer.

Zleetx yep its the matter of time until the game lunches and I know sakurai is not done with the game but I heard him reply to the other users on miiverse said that he is not done yet he said it happen last week so the game will be done soon dude and the duckhunt dog trailer will show soon and also I was hoping that they will show some other features in smash and By the way be aware of the delayed of the game sometimes Nintendo delayed other games like Mario kart 8 and other stuff and also soon it will happen In smash bros 4 for Wii U trust me it might happen to this version.
sonicgalaxy27 Nah if they were gonna delay it, they would have by now. I don't think they'll make the same mistake they did with Brawl where they told us the release date way too many times before finally releasing it to us.
