Funny since Galaxy 2 ignores the events of Galaxy 1. It being excluded from this video is kind of like Galaxy 1 getting it's revenge.
They didn’t include Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels (which is understandable), Super Mario Land 2, or Super Mario Galaxy 2.

Mario has been a staple of my life for as long as I can remember! I became hooked on the game in 1st grade, hooked on the series since 2nd grade, and Bowser character fandom as of 2 years ago! The Mario franchise will always have a special spot in my heart.
And I can play a ton of Mario songs on the piano!😊

When I watched all the 35th anniversary videos on TH-cam I actually cried. I was born in the early 90s and grew up with Nintendo and especially Super Mario. To see how Nintendo celebrates it makes me so happy. To see how Super Mario evolved from that popular 2d game to the latest game is so great... it feels so special magical...

I grew up on Mario since I was just 3. My father got me an NES with the Super Mario Bros/Duck Hunt bundle back in 1990 and everything changed. The whole game made me both a gamer and Mario fan for life. It's amazing how far the plumber came his 1981 arcade debut with another Nintendo character rocking his chair right now waving his cane at his grandson Lol.

Great Medley but I didn't see Super Mario Galaxy 2. Loved the music (especially the trailer music used for both games), the Yoshi and Luigi sections, and the hunt for the rare green stars. Finishing that game was even more challenging than the first. But I get it. The first Galaxy was the first mainline Mario game I completed and an iconic, triumph in game design. Looking forward to trying it again in the collection, but please offer the 2nd at some point in the future. It's worth keeping around.

Anyone else start tearing up when this started playing? I thought there might be that “one last thing” trick, but this... this wasn’t a trick.
