I have a both a real multiple wallet and a real "slim" or slender wallet as it's called. The fake you have here is a multiple wallet reproduction. On the multiple, the side slots are in fact closed and there are 2 pockets for bills. It also has the overlapping "v" pocket on the right interior. The real slender wallet you have is not actually a limited edition, as it's still sold in Louis Vuitton stores and online. There was a collaboration a few years back with another company that was a limited edition and looked very similar, although the blue was a slightly different shade and the other company's logo (lightning bolts) was printed above the LV logo. My brother has this wallet. It is true that the sizes are different between both styles and obviously the real box would not have the label with Chinese writing. Otherwise, it's nice to try and alert people to spot the differences but it's best to be sure that those differences are accurate.
I just got an LV wallet as a gift. The stitching looks good, the pockets look good, and the stamp looks good. The only thing that made me suspicious was the boxing. It came with the cloth bag as well. However, my understanding was that the little pull strap was supposed to be leather. Mine is cloth, but it’s not skimpy looking like the fake one. It makes me feel a little better seeing your real box has a cloth strap as well.
These are just my thoughts. You can pay $500 for a wallet or you can pay $30 for a wallet and it will look the exact same and it will still hold your money. If the differences are small such as the stitching and the feel of it, I think it’s worth the $470 difference, especially in this economy. If someone comes up to you and you have a fake wallet, I promise you they are not going to call you out on it and if they can then they are too close to you.

The LV wallet you have is the slender damier graphite and it’s made from canvas not leather,, there are leather ones but not that color combo. Note not saying it’s not real because it is - it’s just made from canvas and not leather.
Pretty helpful hints. On the checkered design however some of the real lv wallets have the flaw where the box is cut off on the edge of the wallet. I bought one from lv store and mine came like that.

I have a fake Louis Vuitton wallet on me right now, and the flaps and points of attachment are the same as the real one you have pictured. You have to realize that there are many different types of models, with differing slots/flaps configurations once you open the wallet. You should go more in detail about give always that can alarm you that it's fake.

Best way to tell is to get a hot stamp. They'll never stamp a fake at a store, but it'll also make it unsellable or giftable once your done with it.
