I wish you could have a scenario where a guy plays a hot game for an XFL club and then gets to go to some NFL team the next week.
Because that hypothetical teams original starter got injured.
OR at least you could see the "Futures" deals get negotiated in XFL season.
Yes only 32x50 have a chance in nfl
@@OH_MY_DOGGG Problem is there’s so many practice squad players and FA’s better than the XFL players that you wouldn’t see this often. Look at Josh Johnson who the 49ers pulled from Denver’s practice squad as their 4th QB and is a 14 year journeyman that’s played in just 39 games…..he was the QBR leader in the XFL
This was incomplete lol. His toe is back off the ground before he actually caught the ball…
XFL only needs one foot.

Just another reminder competition make things better, monopolies only get worse
True
Not only is it more transparent, no we actually get to see something that matters rather than having two commentators replaying the same clip over and over again while pointlessly saying what they think the right call is.
😁😁😁😁😁
Works for me! Why can't the NFL do this? Unreal.

This is a great idea. What infuriates fans about ref and replay rulings is the opacity of the process. If we can see how they came to the decision they did, we can understand it and accept it. Nothing makes fans angry like seemingly arbitrary and random rulings.
Yes so True
This is the kind of system I thought the NFL would initially have, then continue to build and make the process even more flawless/efficient. I forgot the NFL is only a tiny little business with very little money or access to top technology.

I loved this. the only caveat is Blandino could never do that with 6-ish games going at once. There would need to be an "eye in the sky" for each game...or two simultaneous games at the most. still really awesome to watch. absolutely something the NFL should bring in.
Just clone Blandino a bunch of times to do every game. All hail our Lord and savior of the game, Dean Blandino
Think the NFL could afford the cost of a replay person/people for each game.
@@csolivais1979 only The Dean Blandino is qualified enough
😬😬😬😬
I see some comments talking about the cricket review system. The same hot mic, fans see what replays the ref's looking at system has also been in place for rugby from the start.
But rugby is not NFL
i"m really like the xfl it's great very entertaining. I hope this version of the xfl makes it with the rock in charge I don't think it can miss.

I love the officiating replay process.
And that was a close call.

I don’t know about NOWHERE NEAR lol there was some damn good ball the past few weeks
🙄🙄🙄🙄
@@touchdownblitz 🙄🙄🙄🖕 🤣 I can play that game too
Not just efficiency. Also the fact that it's transparent and we see what the booth officials are looking at
They even played, " Somebody's watching me" when reviewing the play. Lol

Rugby is very similar to this and the ref has a hot mic the whole game, I would love for all the ref meetings to be hot mic for football as well.

Need this for VAR systems in place by FIFA. Would be massive improvement.

going to first XFL Game next week

Reminds me of rugby officiating with someone upstairs taking directly to the head ref.

THeyve done this in rugby for a long time. NFL needs to do this too.

I think it would be cool if fans could vote on review challenges. Have them text their choice and whatever got the most votes becomes an official call. It would get more people to watch, especially when their team is playing. Image how much of an impact it would be for any phone carrier that advertises during the game.

They got the call wrong, though. There is no clear evidence of that toe being down after possession established. What a joke.

Difference is the amount of money flyin around the nfl will never let that happen
🤯🤯🤯🤯
Mike Periera is literally in New York doing this for every NFL game... Why is this not how they do it for the NFL?
This is a lot like how they professional rugby does TMO. The on-field ref uses the stadium screens along with the fans, and at-home viewers can hear the conversation between the on-field ref and the in-booth reviewer.

Sounds great, but the example they used saw the replay system get the right call overturned lol
His foot was off the ground when he gained control of the ball. It was incomplete

This is how rugby does their reviews. You hear the conversation and justification for the call.

Here in Australia we call it the bunker, and has been standard in the NRL for years now

That’s simply not a catch unless there is a rule in the XFL where you can touch both feet and then jump out of bounds and catch the ball

gotta say... im enjoying this season so far. the rules changes are good, the replay review is good, the com's that we get to hear are good. "nfl" game in under 2.5hrs? ok im in.
Yeah but the plays are so slow....missing the skill moves of players...look like college rookies 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄
@@touchdownblitz eh sure maybe. the nfl has been around a LOT longer. give this a few years? itll get better. mostly excited for these dudes to get a 2nd look. for a first season post you know... world wide pandemic? it aint half bad.
Vince had the right idea all along! 😂😂😂
😆😆😆
Takes the suspense out of it tho, waiting there for awhile on the edge of your seat while they go to commercial and take forever. Would be cool if they showed the clip after the ref says the call

Good for the xfl! We need other leagues around to think outside of the box, helps change for the better

First the XFL gave us the "Sky Cam" which the NFL adopted. Now the XFL has introduced a quick and insightful instant replay process. Hopefully the NFL also adopts this XFL idea. Thankfully we have leagues like the XFL to introduce innovation as clearly the NFL has no clue.
NFL has talent and audience they dont need to
I like the kickoff return and extra point. Nfl has too many ads, XFL doesnt.
OT rules are too good check
Now what they need to add from the USFL are the drone cameras. Ive never seen that type of action before. It puts you in the middle of it and it was so cool to watch. It makes the sky cam in the nfl look like a Childs toy

This is what they already do in soccer with VAR but this is WAAAAAY more in depth. We need this in the NFL. No reason not to.

Rugby has been doing this for years. The VAR Judges communicate with the refs and the audio is part of the live broadcast.
Rugby not NFL
