The guitars, violin, and vocal melody are exactly backwards. The lyrics themselves are different, but the meaning in the story is mirrored. Cadaver is about someone dying, and their corpse being turned into a diamond. Revedac is someone using that diamond to try to resurrect them.
@@ooobydoob3786 I listened to an actual reversed version after and can confirm it is the same melodies ;) Crazy composition that it works both ways! And very interesting that the songs have a very different feel to them. To me Cadaver sounds more uplifting than Revadac so I am surprised by the meaning as well 😅 Great songs anyway 🤘👍
I don't know if you noticed, but the last line in Cadaver is in German (or at least an atempt at it), and is reversed in Readac, and is the only line to do so. The songs came about because Shiren read in a newspaper about a Swiss company that turned peoples ashes into diamonds, which he thought would be a good idea for a song, then he thought about someone that loved the person that had their ashes turned into a diamond and wanted to reverse the process and bring them back to life. So that is why the songs are writen the way that they are, and also because no one else had done it, and they knew they could. When I 1st heard it I thought it was a good gimmic then you see them do it live, you realise that it's not and they are that good. The reason why a lot of bands do not do it is because it goes against mussle memory, and that's how most guitarists play.
The line is 'Von der Asche zum Diamant' which is actually a correct german sentence ;) I noticed before that they use german, I think they have a song called 'Angreifer' and other ones as well with german title. Do you know why they are using german, though? I mean I know it from anime (Attack on Titan/Bleach...) and the japanese just seem to like how the language sounds (like I love the sound of japanese language as a german xD) and there is obviously a history between the 2 countries looking back to 2nd world war, but I actually don't know 'why' they use german so often in japanese culture, because here in germany I've never heard a japanese word being used before xD
@@react-o-mat I think it's the influence of Shiren's activity history. Shiren formed this band with Fuki in 2008. Joined BABYMETAL's first Kami Band in 2012 (th-cam.com/video/amj1ZE2SlBA/w-d-xo.html - right side) Joined Yousei Teikoku (fairy kingdom) (formed in 1997) in 2013. This BAND had the German name "Das Feenreich". The reason was that Princess YUI, the band founder, singer, lyricist, self-proclaimed fairy and dictator for life, liked German. As a result, the band's lyrics were often in German. (th-cam.com/video/FtDBgVrCIzY/w-d-xo.html) Originally she was also an anime voice actress, and German is often used in Japanese anime. For Japanese people, German sounds cool, and it also has the meaning of differentiating it from English. Also, the Japanese have an image of Germans as diligent and serious people. I think Shiren is also heavily influenced by these. I'm sorry for the bad English because it's Google translation.
@@kabutoshou4603 Thank you very much for all that information! Didn't even know he was in the first Kami Band! It is a bit funny to hear for me as a german, because the japanese pronounciation always makes it sound very intense even though it's just regular words ;) I really like 'Herrscher' by the way, thanks again for that :D
9:43 I meant it's not just the same audio played in reverse, because vocals for example would sound messed up ;)

Moin, weißt du ob es stimmt, dass es diese Band schon länger gibt als Metallica? LG Ben
@@tasminoben686 wtf?
This is genius level composition from their founder, guitarist, composer, screamer, his name is shiren🤘🏻
Revadac is Cadaver played backwards note for note, excluding the drums, even vocal melody is reversed.
