- With great weather, awesome nightlife and now super-fast wifi, Bali is an ideal location to live and work remotely.
The remote work setup in Canggu has improved dramatically in the last few years and the area is growing super fast.
Now that the internet has improved in Bali, Canggu has become one of the top places to work remotely and in this video, I’m going to share my experience as a remote web developer here in this exciting and beautiful digital nomad destination.

Lived there for 2 years. I can't get Bali out of my head. Best place ever, although Canggu is getting a bit overcrowded and is slowly becoming the new Kuta (parties every night, drunk people everywhere, etc.)
Excellent video as usual. The images were so beautifully shot. Made me nostalgic about going out with friends and having fun. Hopefully this pandemic is over soon.

To be honest those pictures and videos would discourage me from becoming a digital nomad, if I wasn´t already one. There is a missconception that when you are a digital nomad you have to live in some humid island and party all the time. That are really just the digital nomads in Southeast Asia who earn very litte and are usually insanely young. The more adult DM scene does not take place in Chiang Mai or Bali, but in cities like Berlin or Amsterdam.
Zaptos Media based on what I understand is people just become a digital nomad, start at a location that is cheap and fun to live in. All these SE Asian hot spots are just that. Cheap and fun! If you can make a living as a digital nomad there, then great! If not, you can have a long period of holiday for cheap. And honestly in my view, a lot of people spent more time for fun under the cover of digital nomad rather than working as a professional digital nomad. I have seen more than enough of so-called digital nomads in Bali who prioritise fun over work. Sorry, if you are a pro, location shouldn’t be an issue for you to work anywhere.
Dom Donelly you have no idea what the cheap means. About canggu, been exactly there, stayed near finn’s club. it’s CHEAP if you compare it with HKG,SIN,BKK, that’s how I find it. And NO, I didn’t eat Indonesian for each and every meal, even you talk about the high end restaurants in Bali that are owned by westerners, they are still cheaper than the price you pay at home.

I currently live in Texas and live frugally at about $1200/mo but could lower my spending to 1k/mo.
