I suggest you start changing the motor oil as soon as you start these neglected engines and use Mobil 1 High Mileage or Valvoline Restore & Protect. Instead of that SAE50 oil I've seen you pouring in. The goal is to free up piston rings, decarbonize pistons and others areas with built up deposits, and to preserve old oil seals. Stop breathing unburned diesel fumes. You may end up dead. Really. Great show guys and gal . New Hampshire 🇺🇸👍👍
The little valve is the one you remove on number one it get the absolute point of injection. You screw on a bit of old injector pipe as a swan-neck and when it stops dripping (as it was doing here) the pressure plunger has sealed the bypass port. (The helical side port the rack and governor use to control engine speed/power)

I found butane gas in the inlet for a petrol engine worked well it does not wet the plugs. Keep up the good work !
Wooow Nice T-34 from my homeland Poland ! Its Polish version, with Polish words on dashboard like temperatura or maksymalne ciśnienie oleju (max Oil pressure) 😁
Always good to have optional routing available for the injector pipes, 1: put it on the engine, 2: insert it in Jack….. Sterling work chaps!
It is called and anti dribble valve. I used to rebuilds and calibrate pumps like that. They are simple and you can calibrate the yourselves. If you have low compression , you can put a small amount of engine oil in to get it going. I have built many engines, injection pumps and injectors. Was just about to start manufacture of injector pumps before I left. I see lots of incomplete combustion so not all cylinders are firing.
There for a bit, I was thinking, "Oh bugger, the tank is on fire!" Glad to see you got it running without it actually burning anything up! I have had to start old diesil engines on occasion, and they can be a pain! I just found your channel, and I am going through your postings now! I fear that I have found yet another way to waste time.☹️ Oh well, looks interresting, and good to see some old piece of history running again! Whish you lots of luck!🙂
That chamferred part in the fuel pump is a discharge non return valve and most diesel pumps have them in some form or another. On large 2 stoke diesels (780 mm bore) they are sometimes controlled as can be the inlet non return valve. So you can have controlled inlet or controlled discharge. With the latest engines which are common rail the inlet and discharge is controlled so it varies the timing of the fuel and amount. This is done with electronics and solenoid valves on each injector. If you are using the crankshaft and main bearings of the T50 engine I would certainly inspect all the crankshaft bearings as you have got it so far stripped. When using a Bahco adjustable spanner always make sure that the weight is applied to the fixed jaw, not the adjustable jaw as this tends to strain it and it bends thus rendering the jaws out of parallel causing it to slip off the nut. As a matter of interest what thread form is used on Russian equipment? Any of the Western ones ( UNF/C, BSW, Metric) or something peculiar to Russia? I am enjoying watching your videos, having spent 10 years as a Marine Engineer Officer with Diesel Engined ships, following a 5 year Marine Apprenticeship. Retired now.
I'm from the internet and I know best comment: soaking the cylinders in atf or something similar can help free up stuck rings. But ether and fire seems more dangerous and thus fun.
Watching this, all I could think of was giving it an italian tune-up, go to town and grab a burger or something. Nobody'll stop you, Really, nobody can stop you
The gas torch and spraying either at the sametime is a belter of inspiration...what could possibly go wrong..love it.
lol , to ( mis ) quote Ghostbusters .. Do not cross the streams

I only remember my grandad telling me that early models had signs written in Russian language in them as most of it was brought to Poland from Russia (soviet union). Thank you for the info given, I need to read more about them as I can only roughly differentiate some of them. I need to re-visit the Bovington Tank Museum to see theirs T34-85. Cannot remember where that one came from.
@@danielbielski8419 Not most, but quite a large numer of T-34's were Soviet-made. About 1600 pieces served in the Polish Army in totall, of which 1100 were Polish produced.
Way to go!! It's great that you managed to get this wonderful tank up and running. Contrary to appearances, the tank is in excellent condition, complete. Greetings from Poland:)
Четыре танкиста и собака - потрясающий польский фильм! Постоянно пересматриваю этот фильм! Т-34 "РЫЖИЙ"!
@@TECHNOP.V.A.
Nice to see you have a large selection of log of win to put on the back when she's all sorted.
It's always nice to see "living" polish made T-34/85M2.
Loved this little series. Thank you and hope to see more in the future:D
Nice work guys. Great to see it running. I recently read Blood Red Snow and seeing this running reminded me of the terror these tanks put into the German troops on the Russian front.
Great book that. When he deliberately infected his wound so he could avoid being a soviet prisoner!
The swarm of bees was a funny one too.
Learning all the time , thanks for sharing Joe
hello, looking at your video from T-34 I feel like in a Polish series [, Four armored men and a dog], I see in the video that the tank served in the Polish army, so many thanks for its renovation 👍👊💪
^^^
I've heard about THAT Polish T.V series - T.34/85mm & the Dog's name is "RUDY"
It's a Tier.7 Premium tank in the online game "World of Tanks BLITZ" & I bought several (I've got x 3 accounts)
Wasn't it filmed in 'Black & White' ????? Late 1960's right ?? But re-screened as repeats in 1980's/1990's ????
@@hawnyfox3411 yes, this film was shot in 1966 in black and white, now you can see it in color like all old films, every time I watch this film I remember the good times of Polish comedy in black and white
😉😊
I can't wait to see this one go for an MOT test ... emisions might be a problem.
I think vintage vehicles get a pass on the emissions test
So wonderful! To Hear That beauty Come Back To Life and Then Move On His Own Power. WOW Just WOW! I can Not!! Imagine What All OF You Felt Like when he Started. OMG.. Just BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!!
This is the best video I have ever watched, blow torch and a can of easy start job done
Love seeing a bit of success, well done boys, good job.
Loved following this one, sometimes it is who you know and not what you know. Great Video as always bud 👍
Really enjoy the videos. I haven’t been watching you all that long so I have no idea is this a business or a hobby. Might be worth while giving more information why you have each of these tanks if it’s a business and what work you have been asked to do etc.
Love this T-34/85 Serries. It's such an iconic machnine. Keep the content comming guys, It's fucking awesome watching you guys bring this tank back to life.
Knowing what we know now, this is jaw-droppingly amazing that it ran so well. Absolutely astounding.
I wish I could help seen the neighbors faces when a tank came smoking out of your garage!! I want one; greetings from Montana!

Look..... It's moving....... It's alive.... ITS ALIVE!!
Congrats on getting your T-34 running, Can't wait to see more videos regarding it in the future.
There's only one thing to say : YOU GUYS ARE AWSOME ! Thank you very much for that really entertaining content !
Don't over use the easy start it can cause top ring breakage and or top ring groove land breakage due to over pressure. Many years ago I worked at Wellworty LTD we use to examine piston failures easy start caused quite a few problems!! I found butane gas in the inlet for a petrol engine worked well it does not wet the plugs. Keep up the good work !
I plan to rebuild the engine so I’m not fussed
@@MrHewes more 'ether addiction' bollocks 🙄
Crack on Joe 👌🏼
@@LordMuck
Its not bollox, if you understood how a diesel engine works, you'd know this ...cretin 🙄
Wooow Nice T-34 from my homeland Poland ! Its Polish version, with Polish words on dashboard like temperatura or maksymalne ciśnienie oleju (max Oil pressure) 😁
80 years old and still going. They knew how to build them in those days. Whats next to get that to stay running?
Always good to have optional routing available for the injector pipes, 1: put it on the engine, 2: insert it in Jack….. And I owe the met office an apology, I’ve been cursing them for p**s poor forecasts because it’s been so cloudy round here, now I know the truth, it was Joe’s disco inferno smoke machines (plural cos’ I’m including the beemer).
Thanks for that . I will tell Bladimir Putin when he takes them off the monuments to help his war effort
Well done chaps , jobs a good'un .
Great to see it moving again, i don't think i would ever get in one of those looks way to small haha.
A perfect symphony!
Great vid , that motor sounds good , tanks for sharing 💨💨👍
It lives! Nice work chaps
There for a bit, I was thinking, "Oh bugger, the tank is on fire!"
Glad to see you got it running without it actually burning anything up!
I have had to start old diesil engines on occasion, and they can be a pain!
I just found your channel, and I am going through your postings now!
I fear that I have found yet another way to waste time.☹️
Oh well, looks interresting, and good to see some old piece of history running again!
Whish you lots of luck!🙂
Oh no, tank is on fire, what should we do?
Great job getting it going again. It smokes almost as much as my Guiberson tank engine!
Great to see them going and getting made to run better and to thing these to take on the german tanks.and a great respect
WOW, it sounds fantastic; well done.
Still a good looking tank, even in its present state! Good videos!
Fantastic work well chuffed for you
Your vehicle meets my eco concerns 😉🤣best of british to you guys for getting it running
O amor verdadeiro de nós mecânicos e conseguir o impossível 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼!!!!!
What a result and works really well 👍👍
That looks super impressive. I would love to work on those machines. I am building a tracked vehicle with some friends.
Awesome! Respect and congratulations in huge measure.
great to see it up and running..... and a lot less smoky than when new
Do widzenia 🤣😁
I wish they'd explained and demonstrated how Injectors the way you did when I was doing my Mechanics apprenticeship. Simples...
ITS ALIVE, ITS ALIVE !!
Cheers From California 😎
Nice to see the old girl running you just need a German vehicle for it to Chase now😂😂
Bravo! Boys BRAVO! Absolute legends you are!
So British guys, one inh a german jacket, fixxing a russian tank hahaha i love it
Давай там поаккуратнее с нашей техникой!

Моя бабушка собирала эти танки!

I never knew! Congratulations bois!
More top content 😎❤️❤️👍👍👍🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧 love it 🤩
Cool...what a beast! Good job making it run.
Nice pucker up faces when driving tank 😂and the choreography instructor
I'm from the internet and I know best comment: soaking the cylinders in atf or something similar can help free up stuck rings. But ether and fire seems more dangerous and thus fun.
Watching this, all I could think of was giving it an italian tune-up, go to town and grab a burger or something. Nobody'll stop you, Really, nobody can stop you
