Great job! Love playing this. Simple but not really. Legend has it Paul Carrack wrote this about their bass player at the time. Apparently the bassist was being 'courted' by another band. Thanks for sharing
Great transcription, thanks. One of my basses is a Squier Affinity five string. After a setup and pickup urprade, it plays and sounds great. Squiers are underrated.
Lol, considering this song was written about the bass player stepping out on the band and looking to join another band, you would think the bass player (Terry “Tex” Comer) would have put more of an effort into this bass track! Still I love this song!
yeah not the most challenging or exciting bassline for sure, but it's super solid and supportive and fits right in :) maybe did the band and the song the best favour he could overall haha
One of the best songs written
The best Bass track. One of my favorites.
Iconic bass.
L0oved this song ever since it was initially released. Great cover, thanks for posting this!

Oh cool! I have one of those 5s too, what pickups did you upgrade to?
@@bobbyshomestudio Wilkinson Alnico V pickups, very good vintage sound, record well, inexpensive.
Very smooth, MAN
This bass tab is perfect, well done!! 😀👍
I love this song! I asked my son to learn the bass for my birthday! Thank you so much!
Thanks so much for watching! Hope you enjoy your birthday 🙂
Thank you! Btw, I LOVE your guitar!
@@33goldengirl thanks! It's a Squier Classic Vibe '70s Precision Bass on the off-chance you're looking for one :)

Good work. It seems easy, but is complicated
Yeah you’re right, it’s easy enough to play a simple version that fits, but trying to catch all of the small variations on the track can be tricky!
Especially when trying to memorize it lol😂
