- I was reminded of this Paul Carrack/Ace classic driving around Charlotte a while back (95.7FM, "The Ride", anyone?). HUGE props to Josh for not only his producing and arranging acumen, but also for encouraging me to attempt a full-band approach.

No kidding!
This song was covered big time, back in the day. And its great to hear it again, done so well.
someone give these 2 guys some money ... this is better than most singles on radio
@Jon Hecox -- I do, every month! Go to Patreon and give a few bucks yerself -- you'll feel good! :-)
There was a time (a long time ago) when this WAS a single on the radio :)
Yes 👍🏻
Much better!
@@MarkWilliams-cs9qk I actually like their singing more than the original!
Paul Carrack one of the most underrated vocalists from the last century imo, and you've certainly done him justice here
Okay, that solo with 2 guitars was amazing.
Absolutely!
yes it was! loved it
@@bertlmayer2030 “ amazing” ?
The music you and your friends produce is absolutely STELLAR. When I see the tight quarters it’s made in, I’m astounded. That tiny apartment, your old dorm room, that little bedroom at your parent’s house...it’s like a forge where greatness is hammered into existence by God-given talent and perserverance!
The production quality on these latest videos of Josh and friends is otherworldly good.
Thank God there is no limit on how many times you can replay a video. If there was I know I’d have reached it with this one. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Josh is getting into the back up singing. He’s even got the moves.
Yes. He appears to be doing a variation on the moves made famous by Steve Martin in two wild and crazy guys.
So so good! ☺☺☺
Must be those jammy whammaas
He is the best doo wop girl I've seen that does not wear a cocktail dress.
Paul Carrack is one of the greatest musicians of all time, y’all did a great job
I didn't have high hopes for a cover of this iconic song - I was wrong - you guys rocked it!
You guys have out done yourselves on this one. Absolutely beautiful and smooth as silk. One of my all time favorites from the 70's. Thank you
My memories of this song were sorta, blah I wasn't old enough to know betrayal, but the tight performance made me really appreciate this!
Fabulous cover. Such a great song.
It's a pleasure to watch two guys enjoying what they were born to do.
Awesome!
Better and better and even better. Thanks a lot, gentlemen.
That was just lovely!
You spoil your fans! First Live again and now this! Thanks so much!! A fan in the Netherlands 🇳🇱
One of my all time favorite tunes!! Wonderful cover!! Who also had to replay this over and over and over and over...??
Me, just like I do with the original. I’ve always loved it.
Fantastic guys!
The harmonies are so beautiful, you two are amazing together! Seeing your videos inspires me to improve with my channel. Thank you for this beautiful video. :)

I think it goes on for several lifetimes, I suspect you’re names were Buddy and Randy in your previous life’s, and you pick up we’re you left off, so you call them covers, I don’t.
Ha ha ha
You guys were born to be great. Thanks for playing for us❤️
Listening in from Reno. Thanks for sharing, guys. Once again, my mind is blown and there’s a smile on my face. Great way to be on a cold Sunday sitting around in my pajamas.
Absolutely one of the best covers this old guy has ever heard !

This is one of the best songs of the 70s without question
Thank you for last night's get together. I was the one who asked the question about guitar vs drums and which came first. Now here you are on drums covering a great old classic. Well done
Drums, bass and probably an organ, I think...
You two never cease to amaze and entertain me. Thanks
...and it looks so easy to do but in fact it's really not easy at all ;-) How impressive you both are, thanks to you to bring us back in this musical era . Yves.
What great musicians. So much talent. And the voice... wow.
Hot damn! You young punks keep resurrecting classics from my youth ... and doing a better job than the originals!! So glad you’re using your gifts.
One of the most amazing videos I have ever seen on TH-cam. Thanks for making my day fellas!

Nice work boys! As usual... good tune from those days
Well done guys! From this 65 year old who remembers the ACE original from back in the day.
As a drummer myself watching Carson play is both inspiring and hilarious. He’s using the wrong technique but doing an amazing job all the same. Makes me want to go hop on my own kit.
Great job!
It surprises me how well these guys fill in with other instruments. Great result.
REALLY ENJOYED THAT thanks Guys
One of the truly great one hit wonders of all time; I never thought I'd hear you guys sing it. But your rendition is excellent, and the work you two put into producing it is really impressive.
Great show last night! And then I wake up to this? Wow!
Awesome... captured, but it’s your own! Brilliant guys! Just Brilliant!
I have loved this song since Paul Carrack released it back in the day. Makes me sing harmony every time. Great job.
This is so well done, perhaps better than the original. Wonderful singing and playing. We love your eclectic tastes.
Beautiful. Thanks.
Great cover ! Love u guys !!!
Brilliant!!
I mean. This is just great. This song was out when I was at North London Polytechnic in the early 1970s. You guys are totally McKee to getting this out to a new generation - together with your own great originals (Unamericana is pure 2024). This Paul Carrack song and John Hiatt, Paul Simon, Nick Lowe etc - all wonderful. Time must move on, but... but...
Absolutely wonderful me Boyos. Love ya all. Keep on keepin keep on.
when your favorite two artists cover one of your favorite songs :) Huge inspiration for my channel Keep up the solid content y'all
One of my favorite tunes from '74. Played it over and over on a 900 mile road trip to Las Vegas back then. Still one of my all-time favorite tunes. Great cover!
Just just when I thought things couldn't get any better here... I had nearly forgotten this wonderful classic but it is in good hands with Carson and Josh. It really is!
Wow that was great. Every element of that tune was essential. Take one part out and it wouldn't be awesome enough to be as awesome as it was. I stand by that assessment.
Wow, fantastic job!👍🏻
Ils sont extraordinaires de rythme et de décontraction ces 2 jeunes gens ! Un plaisir !👏
Wonderful song and a wonderful performance. Great job Carson & Josh! This song brings back some memories. Some of us remember when this was popular on the radio. I have fond memories of this song and many others like "I go crazy" by Paul Davis. That's another great one.
you two give me chills
bloody marvellous
Always loved that song. Takes me back to high school. I dig the classic 70s fade ending.
Dueling guitars could have been a half hour or so longer, great stuff...
Thanks for reviving this song! Haven't heard this in years!
Superb! I had a home recording studio in the 1980s and did stuff like that. It shows what you can do with a modicum of equipment, and whole heap of talent!
Brilliant. You guys did an excellent job of this. I sang this at a wedding anniversary party years ago. Possibly not an appropriate song for that occasion but it's a great song so no one seemed to mind.
Awesome you two! Mega talent sitting there.👏👏❤👍🎶🔊🎸
I remember this song when it came out. I have the "45"! RPM Record to this day!! Great job Carson & Josh!!
I really love you guys but his was exceptionally good! Carson wow just wow!!!
Two talented young men!
Always loved this song from the 70’s. So glad to hear it so well done. Love it. 👏👏👏
It make me so happy how you keep covering my very favourite songs. Absolutely beautiful guys.
Not sure how I missed this. Beautifully done, a nice take on an old classic. Great choir.
So much talent. Everything tune you guys record... Awesome.
Ive lost count of the times ive sang along to this at Paul Carrack concerts over the years! And this is one of the best covers ive heard!Keep safe & well, from Shaun in North Wales,UK.
This song is: a warm and rainy late afternoon on a summers day, sitting on a rock by the river.
Sat cross legged on a bed and producing those vocals, phenomenal cover
Who knew Carson.could play an electric and lead ?
@@bobf.5538 yeap, each day better...
Amazing Carson and Josh!
Bravo, guys! I was a child when that song came out, and I still love it! Great cover!!! Made my morning!
Grew up in the 70s and this is an adult contemporary classic. Song has everything. Great vocals, bass line, percussion, rhythm track, lead, keys. As Greg Kihn said, "They don't write me like that anymore." I know I was happy to watch most of the doo wop and early rock and roll from the 50s die, but I send you guys a big thank you for keeping this one alive.
Love it! :D
Thanks guys!
Great start to my week; easy listening to this.
I can only imagine the amount of work you put into this, whilst making it look an easy, relaxed performance!
Finally a guitar battle between Josh and Carson 😁, the world needs more of this!
Outstanding gentleman!
This is one of those songs that got it right the first time in my opinion (It is such a vibe and a mood and a groove), so props for not overthinking it and just doing a pretty close copy of it with your personalities making it its own distinct thing. I think you guys nailed it. Twas rad
Fabulous!!!! One of my favorite songs! U guys👍✌️
Your music brightens up my mornings every time.
Love your music 🎶
OMG... Im lovin the backing vocal "facial expressions" Excellent job fella's . I give it a 5 Star rating
