@@2_Braidz High cpu priority can worsen the CPU bottleneck and it is known to cause stuttering for a variety of reasons, mainly by conflicting with vital windows processes for resources, especially if the game is particularly cpu hungry. Great and helpful video. About the claim that they (devs) ''want'' the game to be modded I don't know about that. I saw a modding wave happen to the Texas Chain Saw game on release as well; the ~mods folder thing is something tied to the Unreal Engine 5 which both games uses. After a month or two, the devs of TCM disabled the ability to use skin mods by using the ~mods folder. I used mods in TCM and knew a lot of people who did as well and nobody was banned for using it since it's a client sided skin change. Long story short, use the mods while you can because I'm positive it will come to end sooner than later :/
I HIGHLY doubt the devs want to allow mods, they disabled the ability to turn off mouse acceleration in the .ini file, if they do that they definitely don't want mods.
ue5 is just crazy, like I get it-it can actually do a lot, but the way they used it for a competitive shooter/6v6 game with graphics that are not that good and not optimized it is just crazy.

I have a 3060ti, 16gb ram, R5 3600. My ingame settings were already optimized and I was getting around 150fps and now I get around 200fps after adding the mods. The only thing that didn't give me any extra fps was the priority .bat file and editing the config file, it actually gave me a lot of screen tearing and stuttering. So if you have a PC like mine save you some time and don't do anything else apart from the in-game settings and adding the mods. Also DLSS is the best and the DLSS Nvidia frame generation setting will give you around 20-50+ extra FPS with barely no input lag. Reply if this was helpful :)
it wasn't a .bat file its a .reg, which modifies registry. If you didn't like that part, you can revert it-I placed it on my pinned comment. Feel free to use dlss on 30+ nvidia card, but refrain from frame generation, it really does have input lag... (unless you're not a competitive gamer)
RX6800 @ 1440p / FSR3 balanced / everything else on lowest setting. I get basically the same 180-200+ in practice range, but the game doesn't look like trash.
@@UnfilteredByts 12700KF 5.0ghz Pcores, tuned GPU with More Power Tool to undervolt vcore and SOC slightly, raise wattage limit to 250, allowing higher boost clocks under load
Anyone know why the FPS mod makes the character outlines, names, and health bars of all the enemies not appear until I damage them? It makes my game run pretty well but that shit is so annoying that it isn't worth it.
i did everything like so in the video and my fps got capped at my refresh rate afterwards? Anyone same? i play in widow mode and my fps was unlimited before but now its limited randomly after the changes
For nvidia 30xx cards or higher (I have 3060ti) would you recommend turning on DLSS or keeping TAAU? I already got like 180fps doing this (before it was 130s), so I was wondering if there was any way to make it higher, especially on maps like Tokyo 2099 which dips to 130 (used to be 80 before so still improvement).
ofc! You can always lower your resolution, though imagine, if I can set this down all the way to 720p, then that just gives me super bad graphics for just a little fps increase.
If you changed the config file, it's because it is in "read-only" mode. Read only prevents it to change, so if you restart the game it will go to whatever is writen in the file
Haven't tried most of the mods aside from the mouse acceleration fix, but the regedit entry did wonders for my fps. Saw around a 30-40% increase on it. It doesn't help my cpu is throttled by a bad cooler... do you think a better cpu cooler would help with performance? I have an i5-10600k and a 1660 Super. thanks. :)
I'm unclear, what exactly does disabling mouse acceleration do? there's a part of me that fears i may have gotten used to whatever muscle memory i have with that enabled and shouldn't use that mod...
I'm almost certain it is no longer in the game but if it still was, just disable it and you will get used to it after a day or two and instantly play better
frame gen produces artifacts and fake frames (optical flow + ai) it doesn't really increase your fps but it makes the game smoother adding frames in between. In turn yes the game looks smoother; but at the same time it feels more buttery and glidy (due to input latency).
Hey thanks for responding to my comment but i watched a video and it said that changing the game files in anyway was a banable offense, it used the same file (~mods) and everyone in the comments said that this is banable. I was just wondering if you knew if this is true or not.
how would this be banable tho ? There is no 3rd party Programm interacting with the game and you are not exploiting anything with these CFG. files so i dont rly see why it should be banable
@ yeah i dont know either i was just confirming because i watched a video that used the same ~mods folder and everyone said it was banable so i was just making sure
@@brandonreed298 I personally wouldn't chance it unless you don't care about your account, the devs said that there is a chance you'll get banned due to the anti-cheat not being controlled by them.
honestly idec, either optimize the game so its playable or have people sneak around and do this, they've put out zero updates to optimize the game regardless of the amount of people complaining about it lmao
@@LionZx Yeah, my game on the spider map is like 80FPS but it feels horrible. Doing this made my FPS reach 200 in warmup, I remove the mods and it drops to 150-160 just off of a simple config file.
I dont understand bwhat TAAU for any nvidia series below 20 means? so with 2070 I should still use NVIDIA DLSS? and can someone explain the low latency bottleneck
TAAU is more akin to a Native Resolution. (Pushes your system more, less frames) DLSS is a AI Upscaler and Frame Generation Resolution Tool (Less stress, more frames) Bottleneck Examples: 60% GPU / 99% CPU (CPU Bottleneck) 99% GPU / 55% CPU (GPU Bottleneck)
Is there a way to make it run any faster when having these settings? 16GB Ram AMD Ryzen 3 3250U with Radeon Graphics 2.60 GHz I tried downloading mods for it and it still runs super slow
honestly at this point just try both and let me know. I would still vote for TAAU but it seems that cpu can also be a factor to which one would give you more FPS. There is a guy somewhere in this comment section that has 4060 and has better performance with TAAU while some people with other gpu likes fsr or dlss more. If you care about input latency TAAU still all the way!
why does TAUU give way better performance than DLSS? im using a 4060 and i set dlss to ultra performance i got 150 with dlss and 220 with tauu (both at lowest)
TAAU runs faster because it’s a simpler, lightweight solution compared to DLSS. DLSS uses your GPU’s Tensor Cores to upscale with AI, which looks amazing but adds extra load to the GPU. TAAU is more like the “quick and dirty” method-it just focuses on basic anti-aliasing and upscaling without eating up as much performance. Perfect if you’re chasing higher FPS over visuals.
TAAU doesn't give better fps than TSR. And since we disable the line AntiAliasingSuperSamplingMode makes no sense. If you wanted to set ScreenPercentage=60 while using TAAU you would want to set AntiAliasingSuperSamplingMode=2
wheh i put the mods my game crashes.. and now im forced to redownload the whole game again instead i could have just deleted the pak file but i guess they didnt want that. I'm not banned tho so its ok but this means there is no other way to boost my fps cause the newest video from when im typing this the scalability.ini thing it works like it removes all shadows and everything but my fps goes down
That's just the anti-aliasing, just set it to DLSS if you have an NVIDIA GPU and put it on balanced and 80%, it looks better and even has higher FPS for me.
@@UnfilteredByts Yes. only in this game my GPU has ever run this hot. Its between 85-88c. Amd ryzen 7 3700x RTX 2060 super 16gb 3200mhz ram Asus tuf b550 mobo cooler master watercooling for my CPU (cpu isnt running hot, only the GPU). case: svive halo 500 (i think) In other games, like valorant, Diablo 2 Resurrected, wow, gta, bf5 to name afew my GPU only runs around 70-73, and being silent. In marvels it sounds like its a jet engine about to take off, literally.
Of course they will. First it is a competitive game, "mods" can be used to cheat. Second, nobody's gonna buy battle pass and skins if people can just mod their game.
Yea guys don’t download the mods kinda funny that I decided to do this and after a couple games I got permabanned😢😢 kinda wish I didn’t do it but oh well
I don’t know how but their support team said they found abnormal data on my acc and also they don’t support modifying client files but I downloaded the fps booster, the no mouse acceleration and the cpu one Was typeing too fast
tos says modifying game files will result in a ban i heard. makes sense of course. but most games dont ban for doing shit like this before warning and making files unmodifiable completley without cheating clients. so yea short answer they can ban you but no ones been banned yet and I wouldnt worry about it
really?? Marvel Rivals is an online game, and modding it may result in consequences such as penalties or bans. Proceed at your own risk. I do not take responsibility for any outcomes.
No you will not get banned they actually made a official statement about the use of mods and it didn't say anything about bans just that any performance issues caused by those mods are not their problem
Please stop sharing the High priority stuff. It doesn't do what you think it does, it's better to set the application to high performance and let Windows take care of it from there.
I'll keep sharing this until someone provides solid proof that setting something to high priority actually causes harm. From my experience as someone who multitasks a lot and used to stream on a single-PC setup, setting high priority helped a ton. It's the same reason why OBS has a "High Priority" option in its settings-so it stays prioritized even when you're running games or other heavy programs in the background. This helps prevent FPS drops in your stream. Honestly, it works exactly as expected, and plenty of PC tech folks agree on this too. If you're curious, you can check out discussions on Reddit or guides on Microsoft's site. The official OBS Wiki also talks about stuff like this. superuser.com/questions/964382/how-do-priorities-work-on-task-manager-and-when-should-nt-i-set-this www.reddit.com/r/explainlikeimfive/comments/w4mgs/eli5_how_does_task_managers_set_priority_work/ answers.microsoft.com/en-us/xbox/forum/all/how-do-i-set-an-apps-priority-to-high-in-task/a2ff58fc-54ef-45a1-bb2f-b731f73341f6#:~:text=you%20can%20set%20its%20priority,and%20select%20Set%20priority%20%3E%20High. :D
@@anfex1to A lot of people are saying, "Yes, you can get banned," but so far, no one has actually been banned. Because of this, many people doubt the game can even detect what mods are installed. For example, some players have been using rated 18+ mods for a while now and still haven't been banned. So honestly, I'm not going to stress about it. Just use this mod until they eventually patch the mod folder and disable mods entirely in the game. I’ll keep updating this, especially if they announce they’re strictly banning players with mods. But until then, you’re probably safe (I highly doubt they’d risk banning 90% of their player base, lol).

Anyone know why the FPS mod makes the character outlines, names, and health bars of all the enemies not appear until I damage them? It makes my game run pretty well but that shit is so annoying that it isn't worth it.
It doesnt work after the patch does it
So i went through and did all the steps you did, but my fps is staying around the same area. is there a reason why?
hi feel free to ask on our dc server :D, maybe more people there can help you.
consistent frame rate is more important then high frame rate
i did everything like so in the video and my fps got capped at my refresh rate afterwards? Anyone same? i play in widow mode and my fps was unlimited before but now its limited randomly after the changes

For nvidia 30xx cards or higher (I have 3060ti) would you recommend turning on DLSS or keeping TAAU? I already got like 180fps doing this (before it was 130s), so I was wondering if there was any way to make it higher, especially on maps like Tokyo 2099 which dips to 130 (used to be 80 before so still improvement).
DLSS all the way my dude (I also have a 3060ti)
it might be DLSS for that one! Although check the feel which one you feel snappier.
Did it, but didnt turn off my shadows?
How you think this game got better optimizing or no?
when i start my game it looks the same and it puts my super resolution mode on ultra automatically
have a 1080 and even tho i customized it to me to get 184 fps barely it’ll go down to 0 and stutter hard especially on maps like spider
Jim (the founder of scalability.ini) uses gtx 1080, you should wait for some reply from him to see if he had done something more than just the .ini

sorry the link above is expired, here's the new one! discord.gg/53aTjpdRCe
you can get more using 1080 Res
ofc! You can always lower your resolution, though imagine, if I can set this down all the way to 720p, then that just gives me super bad graphics for just a little fps increase.
also everytime you restart the game all settings reset idk if it just me...
me too
If you changed the config file, it's because it is in "read-only" mode. Read only prevents it to change, so if you restart the game it will go to whatever is writen in the file
everytime i launch the game my AA returns to EPIC TSR :( anyone can tell me why
just edit again in the notepad settings and don't open the display tab, I noticed that kinda disable the mod until u reopen
Haven't tried most of the mods aside from the mouse acceleration fix, but the regedit entry did wonders for my fps. Saw around a 30-40% increase on it. It doesn't help my cpu is throttled by a bad cooler... do you think a better cpu cooler would help with performance? I have an i5-10600k and a 1660 Super. thanks. :)
if temp goes high consistently, go get some
What are the temps you're getting? are you overclocking?
Certainly better cooler = better cooling performance = you can overclock that cpu more!
I'm unclear, what exactly does disabling mouse acceleration do? there's a part of me that fears i may have gotten used to whatever muscle memory i have with that enabled and shouldn't use that mod...
I'm almost certain it is no longer in the game but if it still was, just disable it and you will get used to it after a day or two and instantly play better
if you have amd gpu turn on frame generation. fps will climb
frames might go up but usually frame generation causes input lag, so people avoid it
frame gen produces artifacts and fake frames (optical flow + ai) it doesn't really increase your fps but it makes the game smoother adding frames in between. In turn yes the game looks smoother; but at the same time it feels more buttery and glidy (due to input latency).
@Halfdead7_ I've never noticed it at all
i cant barely start a match with the mod, do u know why? i have a low end pc but i dind think it should be worst
no clue but if the mods don’t work for you, try my new video which is an optimization guide like the original, where its all config files.
Have they said anything about fixing the mouse acceleration themselves since they should already offer the toggle
Yeah, that'll be introduced on season 1
Yup it'll be introduced on season 1
(Pushes your system more, less frames)
DLSS is a AI Upscaler and Frame Generation Resolution Tool (Less stress, more frames)
Bottleneck Examples:
60% GPU / 99% CPU (CPU Bottleneck)
99% GPU / 55% CPU (GPU Bottleneck)

I have a 2060 super should I use dlss or taau?
honestly at this point just try both and let me know.
My TAAU render scaling always goes back to 100 when I get on the game. Do you know why that is?
Check if your user game setting file isnt on read only because of previous optimizations done by you
what program do you use to unzip files
I personally use 7-zip
why does TAUU give way better performance than DLSS? im using a 4060 and i set dlss to ultra performance
i got 150 with dlss and 220 with tauu (both at lowest)
TAAU runs faster because it’s a simpler, lightweight solution compared to DLSS. DLSS uses your GPU’s Tensor Cores to upscale with AI, which looks amazing but adds extra load to the GPU. TAAU is more like the “quick and dirty” method-it just focuses on basic anti-aliasing and upscaling without eating up as much performance. Perfect if you’re chasing higher FPS over visuals.
pretty sure mouse acc its been patched so its not working anymore
i cant find game user setting

Tell me a single reason to use TAAU over TSR, and no, TAUU doesn't give u less input lag than TSR
better FPS and less stutters, duh
Also, disabling fullscreen optimization does NOTHING in a DX12 Engine built-in game.
Higher fps. That's why we're here, no?
Also TAAU is more customizable, and we're disabling taa anyways.
@@tristan4386 TAAU doesn't give better fps than TSR at performance. And since we disable the line AntiAliasingSuperSamplingMode makes no sense.
TAAU doesn't give better fps than TSR. And since we disable the line AntiAliasingSuperSamplingMode makes no sense. If you wanted to set ScreenPercentage=60 while using TAAU you would want to set AntiAliasingSuperSamplingMode=2
