It sucks to have fights like this, but knowing that after the fight they go through the lengths to get you back is why having good parents is the most important thing in your life.
Another aspect to this story is that Japanese street is safe enough that kids are independent. They can walk to their relative house without trouble.

Depends on where do you lived.
In rural area, the street is soo dark and you seen almost no one wandering around. Its soo quiet.
While in city, the heart of district are quite normal. in big city like tokyo, kyoto,etc they keep running like its never sleep.
Each has its problem.
Even in big cities, Stalker and scammer are the most common problem, only police would help since japanese society tend to be individual. Yet, the crime case in Japan quite low.
While it is safe it's actually not legal for kids to walk around after a certain hour by themselves. But it's more so they're back home to go to bed early but if a cop sees a Junior High school girl walking around after 10 he'll likely pull her over to investigate and probably take her back to her house or the station
As a teenager I used to walk around alone at night. Despite being female no one bothered me coz apparently I give off "do not eff with me" energy.

Several years ago a student ran away from my last school. One girl running away from the hostel is troublesome enough but somehow she was able to coerce other girls from the same village tu follow her. They took the old jungle path but got lost along the way.
The teachers on warden duty got wind of their great escape from other students and set out a search party with a boat. The search party quickly found them when they heard the youngest girls crying by the riverside.
Where was this case happened? Sound almost similar to what happened in my country a few years ago. Sadly some of the runaway students died.
@@AlexSDU Malaysia. I don't remember much of the case. Luckily, the jungle path was so rarely used that it became impassable not far the school and the girls became stuck at a well known spot where people in boats can hear them. Aside from some scratches and insect bites the girls were fine.
Well, except for the instigator who got an earful from the adults afterwards. She was a preteen who has severe mood swings. If I remember correctly she recently got a cell phone of her own which made her to lose interest with school.
