I love your enthusiasm and how much fun you seem to have taking on a new project. Your video's remind me of me when I was younger. You are a good teacher and inspire old guys like myself to tackle new projects. As always keep up the great work.
Please put out the same video, but at normal speed this time so we can have the confidence to put it back together. That's the best part of your video's so we can all learn, it's not boring at all. Thx again for your great video.
For removing the governor linkage on the EX650, I remove the air cleaner, then remove the studs by double nutting the studs, then unscrewing them. this allows the carb to move freely so you can unclip the rod from the governor arm.
The jet at the top is the hunting stability jet. Don't clean this with a pin it's much to large use a bristle from a wire brush and make the bristle thinner useing a oil stone you need to use a strong magnification glass to see the hole in the Base of the brass part you unscrewed the single jet hole is very very very small and very hard to see.
Before switching the generator of empty the carb of fuel by not moving the switch all the way the fuel is switched off before the ignition so just run for 3 minutes will empty the carb then move to the full off position.
Got one of these I stored without fuel and now won’t start when added fresh fuel. Run for about a sec then die. Is there a diaphragm fuel pump in there that maybe dried up? Thanks.
that's what happens when your pilot jet is clogged. the pilot jet is the one outside the carb but make sure to clean them both with a strand of a wire and make sure brakecleen easily flows though it.

They don't make generators like this no more 100% quite quality great video 👍
They make better ones actually. these older models don't put out a lot of amps the new inverter ones are better in every way.

Will do for next time! unfortunately on this video I used the time lapse feature on my camera and it records the video in this way with no audio :(
Much bettee for the second pull Thanks for sharing Bro.
I use the wire from bread ties to clean jets.. It works really well.. Fun stuff keep going.
i will try it myself next time! also if you haven't subscribed please consider doing so so I can make more videos like this one :)
You bet I did, you have a great disposition ..enjoy your videos ..anytime I can share some of my techniques I will do so..thank you :)

Thank you buddy
I have one of these I'm actually running it right now I haven't cleaned the carburetor yet will probably do that later
I also have a couple Storm Cat generators and I have already cleaned out the carburetors on both of them and still haven't had any luck
Check for other things such as spark and oil level. do they have compression?
Double nut the two studs and unscrew them then detatch the linkage it's that simple.
can use an oxy acetylene tip cleaner too for the jets
Good
GOOD AFTERNOON!
DO YOU HAVE COMPLETE REPAIR OF THE CARBURETOR OF THE HONDA EX 650 GENERATOR?

And check out the fuel strainer inside the tank remove with the petrol tap and clean.

Don't take the governor arm off the shaft there is no need and it will never fit perfectly again.

Thanks.
these generators are gravity fed. clean carb and it should run
Gd day sir, I also have this same generator with a leaking petcock, any idea where to get a replacement pet cock? Thank you
My generator turns off once I take it off the choke does that mean I need to clean it? Or is it a bigger problem
