I agree on voices (especially german, french and italian), music and polearm durability. I'd add more late medieval weaponry : Hakenbüchse (inaccurate, long to reload, one hit kill, have to be hooked to fire), rondache (at least as a targe skin), battle flail (like the ones used by hussites),sabers. Also more east-euro and arab clothes. And new maps
i would love to see more oriental style armor pieces. For example, helmets with face masks and lamellar neck protection and a more heavy lamellar armor which looks more like a medieval mongol cavalry armor.
Over 20 classes? Dude, I have over 200 classes. Getting folders would be a life-changer. But what I would really love is a "tagging" system so I can set a class to appear in multiple different folders at the same time. As for a few new weapons, I'd love to see new polearms like the military fork, the glaive, and the awl pike, as well as some sabers. Also give us more variations when it comes to shoulder, face, neck, and headpieces! For example, we have the 1x3 shoulders and 2x3 but not 3x2 or 3x1, it can't be THAT hard to just mirror them over.
If 2 or more engineers work together they could build siege weapons, also a proper siege map with breakable walls and brimming with defences like ballistas, oil and stuff, while the attackers have driveable siege engines, build isle trebuchets and mortars and the ability to dig under the enemy
You know what, why don't we have to build the damn "Battle Ram" as an objective, while Attackers protecting it from the Defender delaying the progress. The developer team could add that in the current map had Battle Ram without changing too much.
Arming is more stab, cutlass is more, well, cut. Messer is the closest, but messer is slow. A cutlass is meant to be be very fast and long, not designed to fight armor. A cutting rapier basically.
maybe a pike, as a sort of anti-lance it would act as a sort of mobile spike/stake, that will impale any horse/person unfortunate enough to run into the pointy end. maybe it would just lie around the maps, like the lance does. idk, just an idea.
We need more chain mail options. The current selection is one stupid looking piece of crap, a few sleeves, and one set of hose. We also should have a realistic chain mail shirt with a surcoat, not that fantasy garbage that they call a tabard, so we can actually dress like a high medieval knight.
One thing I would love to see is a rundown of damage that's been taken and where is was taken on the death screen. That way I could determine what I'm doing wrong in my defense and it could help me improve.
Seems like a good thing to improve at first glance however I disagree. In my opinion the learning from experience rather than watching what you are doing wrong is a beautiful part of The game. It creates a genuine experience were the Opponents you face have developed small habits, techniques and patterns uniqe to them alone. Some do confusing feints others have decided that (Edit: spin=win*) sin=win is the best approach. Some throw their Falcion, some morph into overheads and jump just to perform a quick feint (i do this sometimes and you can have som many different outcomes) whilst others just have mouse1 as the stab key. This diversity not only amongst the different types of players but also within these player categories and sub groups (did I spell that right?) creates a cool neverending experience and as you learn more techniques and improve the exploatation of The environment in for example 1 V X situations- you BECOME BETTER AND YOUR BLOODLUST CARNAGE WILL KNOW NO LIMITS! 😈
A massive issue with making horses behave and interact more realistically is that players do not. A real life horse is of course far weaker then a mordhau horse, a good swing at the legs would easily take it out of commission and send the rider tumbling down. But if it were that easy to stop cavalry they wouldn't have dominated warfare for 2000+ years. The truth is in real life standing still while a dude charges at you on horseback is very very difficult. It's terrifying, and fear for one's own safetyand the desire to get the fuck out of the horse's way overrides your desire to be cool and chop down the horse. But in a video game that fear doesn't exist. You'll just re-spawn in max 12 seconds if you mistime it. There's no reason not to take the swing at the horse. If such a change was implimented, you may as well remove horses from the game because they'd be useless. And I don't think that's the right direction to go in. I think the current situation is a decent balance, if you hit the rider and they're going full speed, it's almost always a kill.
I would like an advanced statistic mode where I can see teamills, Times I got teamkilled and what weapons I get killed by the most. For example catapult, Longbow, throwing axe, Spears, riders etc this way I could tinker with my builds and adjust them to cover the weak points and blind spots in my techniques and playstyle.
There’s a lot of weapons from chivalry that I think the game could benefit from, such as the multitude of axes, the slings, the heavy crossbow, or the higher damaging reinforced bowstaff
Eastern armor and weapons. That would be so cool if we had that ontop of everything else. I mean, we've got european armor and weapons from a wide range of time and location, we've got northern stuff, why not get some eastern stuff too?
I love all these ideas. Mixing together even more eras and the weapons + armor from those eras sounds exciting. Additionally, something that's for some reason extremely controversial, I'd like to see the inclusion of a female option (+more face/ethnic options in general) as to give even more build opportunities and help with immersion for players like myself who put themselves into their characters. Surely not as a priority over new eras, weapons, armor, QoL improvements, etc. but for one it *was* a Kickstarter promise and it's something I've wanted in the game since launch when I bought it, and I know I'm definitely not alone in it. Would it improve the overall state of the game? Well does a new weapon or two or some new armor improve the overall state of the game? Both are arguably additions to the overall experience. The customization is arguably just as integral as the combat for Mordhau's appeal, and giving more options is nothing but an upgrade in my eyes. Also lovely video, subbed
Well we cannot use historical accuracy as excuse, because "dung-covered peasant conversion is that way", you get the idea. So why not? That way we can finally have army of katana wielding african boyars and any kind of weapons, armor and character customization we want for our cosplays and roleplay. Ya but having half of your enemies being women would destroy the experience for lots of People. It would break immersion and is not historically accurate. Ofc it would be cool if 1/30 mercenaries were running around with female builds. But that number going to be much, much higher isnt it? Solution? : Make the female a perk. This perk would make the player slightly shorter (I say slightly shorter because taller gals were more likely to survive battle and would also probably feel more compelled. Is that the right word?). Other cool/necessary shit to include in the female perk (with The things I believe to be necessary stuff first). 1. Make them take more damage, and maybe make it so that the flesh wound perk lasts for a slightly shorter time 2. Make them deal slightly less melee damage 3. Make them jump slightly higher and maybe duck or dodge slightly faster (maybe both) (if the dodge is going to be faster, you could make the dodge reach shorter to balance it, you could also make the dodge drain less stamina). 4. Make their movement speed whilst crouched slightly faster (but not as fast as the "rat" perk) 5. I should have put this higher on the list: female voice lines that arent female versions of The existing voice lines. Also uniqe hairstyles for the females. AND DISABLE THE BEARD, thats a DEMAND... Please. 6. Maybe some uniqe emotes... Just nothing too weird... Creep. 7. They should have slightly, just slightly shorter reach. 8. Slightly quicker stamina regen, also bandages heal more than usual (more bandage for less body mass and it would be a cool feature). 9. This should be higher: customization options uniqe for females just not too feamale (war is war ffs). 10. Make them agile (matrix could maybe go slightly lower and they turn in and out with less turn cap). 11. Make them take less fall damage, climb ladders faster, make them ragdoll for shorter periods maybe even enable a dodge roll when that (possibly) drain more stamina, make them climb ledges slightly slower and make the ledge climbing drain more stamina (make jumping draw much less stamina tho). 12. Make fist damage weak unless you combine with brawler perk in which case the damage is increased to the same level as standard player and speed increases whilst less stamina is lost. Also if combined with brawler the kick should have (normal damage tho) crazy reach and knockback especially with jumpkick you could also make the kick with brawler drain the Opponents stamina. Thats it, sorry for the long list :)
Dam you really dove into this. If they add women then yeah you'll see tons of them. But then it'll die down. Remember when the plague dr mask came out. The battlefield was covered in chickens. But now you only see them once in a while. Just give it time and it will die down. I think untill this game gets some sort or back story or world built then historical accuracy is out the window. I just don't want them to mix in weird stuff like maori warriors. Rn it's just red vs blue and it needs some sort of conflict or something going on to make it more compelling.

@@Wintion505 They would just be crossbows with a faster projectile, more penetration, less accuracy, and a longer reload. Overall they might be loud and obnoxious but I don't see them as having the same kind of consistent killing potential as the bows do.

Okay, I have lots of ideas for this lol... Mead as a new engy weapon. Place barrel and gives a speed boost or something but you are more likely to fall down while drunk. How about a dog AI to accompany peasants. And of course you customize the dog lol. But more so, horse customization. Let me choose the armor and patterns for the horse armor. Also, poison tipped blades. I think it should be a new peasant like skill that restricts you to smaller rogue like weapons and it applies a stacking slow debuff to help out the tiny weapons of the game. Maybe a back stab perk. I'd love to have a bleedout function with serrated weapons where there is a week dot
Crusade would be cool, you could introduce middle eastern and egyptian style maps and weaponry like the Katar hand dagger, the khopesh, the qatar sword, persian saddle ax, etc.

We can have a Venetian city on the black sea as a map, and add cumans, tatars, Mongols, early ottomans, Kievan Rus armies.... The possibilities go really far.
I hadn't thought about it before but Tridents need to be in this game, whether it be a short spear skin or a happy medium between the two existing spears! I want to be able to make a medium armored gladiator, or a completely naked "Old Man of the Sea" build where I can run around a give people a poke! I mean the company is Triternion... we're half way there. Great video and I hope the ideas keep coming!
@@KingKongBunde 100% facts. Also, as far as gameplay mechanics that could be discussed in the follow up video. It is well known the the plume helmets are some of the most fashionable items in the game, but if you play in 3rd person, you may as well play with your monitor off cause you can't see a thing. I've hear suggestions in making the plume transparent or something along those lines. None the less, it's a disappointing realization after spending a fairly large amount of gold on an item you can't use if you're a 3rd person player.
I thought you were going to say we should be able to cut the plumes off helmets. It saddens me to hear you play in third person. I hope you cleans yourself of your heresy and see the light and turn to the first person side. I jest it's just my personal choice to play in first person. I didn't know plumes blocked third person tho. I'm too poor to afford one right now.....and I don't play in third. Sounds like something that should be fixed

I would absolutely love to see something for the fists. You can’t parry with normal fists so if they added something like armored brass knuckles or something that let you parry with your fists It would make boxing classes way more viable without having to scavenge for a weapon just to block and then quick switch to your fists to actually punch
I think adding something like a bounty or a daily quest system would get the game more traffic, that and there’s more incentive to play the game itself and maybe try different weapons and styles. Something like “ use clever to behead five people in one game “ type of stuff and with that you’ll get extra gold too. I saw The MCC do that and it got me back to playing even if it just for short periods of time .
I love the idea of folders and random weather/hazards! These seem like they'd be relatively easy and quick to implement compared to the effort of adding new maps and customizations. Building on the extra voices, there are a few specific taunts from Chivalry that I really miss and I think would be fantastic additions to Mordhau: - "I've got your back" - "You're welcome" - "Go for the objective" - locked battlecries (like banging your weapon against your shield to make extra noise while yelling) I think it would also be great to have battlecry variants which are specific to the side you pick, i.e. if you're blue then your dude might shout "FREE GUARD!", or red "IRON COMPANY!". I also think a ragdoll button would be quite fun, and a great way to balance cavalry (as shown in your video) would be to be able to brace polearms so you become a spike barricade. This could also allow for team strategies where multiple spear users could block a chokepoint from melee enemies, but be vulnerable to enemy archers. Great video! Hope the devs see it.

i think weapons sticking into corpses would be neat, as well as armour you can knock off, such as helmets and pauldrons. capes and addons to armour like wings (winged hussars etc) would make more possibilities to classes. a tackle ability as from what you can see from fighting enactments, people go to ground a lot, but this is a difficult idea to put into a balanced game practice
I’d like to see more renaissance stuff and maybe even matchlock muskets and wheel lock pistol if they can be balanced probably. They’ll need to be very inaccurate but I think they could work. At least the pistol. Make them hella expensive and inaccurate and they might not be too OP. I’d also love to see more beard and hair styles and the regional voices and the instruments doesn’t sound bad either. But I really think that we urgently need more leg pieces and waists that aren’t the Nordic Viking kinda look
The beard models in this game makes me think the 3D artists in Triterion are all unable to grow a beard and never seen what it looks like. It's incredibly ugly.

as a 3d artist that has worked in ue4 a lot, that would mean at least weeks if not months of work to change the rig, then create the animations, then change the animation blueprint, code it and then test it it'd be cool yes but the ressources needed, it won't happen, at least not now
I would love to see Flails added, a weapon unlike any that has a very long wind up but high damage, can hit over top of shields like they can in real life by using a over head strike, very short parry window and extreme accels after a long wind up.
Also give us more cosmetics to look like knights from other orders like the teutonic knights or knights from eastern countries or five us Croatian pirates and Venetians. Or maybe a battlefield which is just an empty field like at the battle of Grunwald.
I would like to see dual wielding big weapons, your attacks would deal less damage and your defense would be limited, but maybe you could have more elaborate attack options. And it would look cool.
A type of server where its just all out war, Matches last for hours and instead of the end of matches gold is earned every 20 minutes, You need to keep bombarding the walls
Spears should have the ability to hold out their point offensively like a held block on a shield but it deals damage to you if hit by just the tip. This could be used to counter horses, to make spear formations, and to keep enemies at bay without having to resort to kicks, dodge spam, or running away. Another thing that would be awesome is an update/expansion pack themed around a foreign nation. Imagine Mordhau Japan, katanas, japanese styled armor and helmets, glaives.
Okay so, this is not something the mordhau team could easily do, but I so wish it existed. So a few years back there was this medieval survival game, kind of in the vein of rust, called Reign of Kings, and you could attempt to claim the throne on the map, and doing so let you "tax" people, which meant when they harvest resources an amount equal or lower to 20% (you chose the amount to tax when you're king) goes to you. This encouraged trying not to piss people off because then they'd want to steal the throne from you. People already want the throne just because it basically gives you free resources. Anyways, these systems encouraged forming factions and having the head of the faction plan, and scheme for the throne, with everyone in the faction getting benefits as a result. If somehow a game could be made, or modded if more of Mordhau's inner workings were revealed to the public, to make a game inspired by reign of kings but with this combat system, holy shit. Would be amazing.

like that other guy said, more oriental pieces. As much as I hate to say it, if they add mongolian and chinese armor they have to add samurais and katanas and then we're gonna have weebs on a medieval battlefield in europe dressed up as samurais. Also handcannons, we have a mortar in the game meaning that cannons do in fact exist so add black powder hand cannons that I think the chinese had. Also armor from Russia too, I think we already have a lot of pieces of armor and clothing you can use to make yourself look like a viking and we have viking weapons, and gladiator weapons I'd love, as long as they add the helmets and armor (can you call it armor?) that gladiators had. Imagine dueling against a guy and he just fucking throws a net on you and stabs you, shit would be awesome. Also fix the damn lag it's been a problem ever since the game started, I have perfect wifi and a 1k dollar gaming computer (lucky me) and you're telling me this game is lagging? Bullshit. Naval maps would be awesome and I'd love to fight on a ship but the water effects might make that map extremely laggy, I'd love to play it on horde and have sea shenanigans, also like you said with the random in-game events, rogue waves that cover the ship with water and can drag you off of it and into the sea. Also, (early) grenades would be awesome too.

I agree with all of the additions really, even (some) pirate stuff will work since we do have weapons like a rapier which is typically late renaissance weapon. I personally would like more hair, beards, and skin tones to match different parts of Europe and the Mediterranean. An eastern update would be good as well, adding in more scale and lamellar armor, unique medium helmets and weapons like scimitars (like you said) and possibly some African weapons like the flyssa (a long thin, sword with a slight inward curve) or the shotel. Slings would be a good idea too since Chivalry has slings so why not mordhau. Also medium and light armors need some love, both are extremely barren and bland, there is room for expansion there as well. In the end, I liked the vid and your other content, I'm glad I found another small channel to support.
ok, from the top... 1. Folders for characters would indeed be handy. In the meantime, one could leave a not in parentheses on whether or not it's for Duels, but that *would* be nice to have. 2. An update on how melee weapons work against horses would be awesome; in addition to your idea, maybe have horses actively stop charging at static players w/ spears and/or massed infantry. 3. Breaking weapons, while a nice touch of realism, might not be for everyone. Maybe have it as a server option one could turn on or off as desired. 4. More customization = good. 5. Maps w/ more weather effects and times of day would be awesome, along with those RNG "events." 6. Unlock's not a bad idea, though a part of me would like a sort of recurring 2x gold event. 7. More weapon types are a MUST, here. Slings, gladiator-origin weapons and armor, musical instruments, 8. Armor/clothing/face customization options? See above opinion. Now for personal ideas... -More perk options: Size increase/decrease with obvious health/speed changes based on which one you pick. Also, perhaps weapon limitations to said perks, as well. Not to mention certain perks that enhance certain play-styles/weapon preferences; follow-through for one-handed blunt weapons, increased zoom and/or draw speed for bows, trading the 'throw' option for something new (sustained parry like w/ shield walls?), use one's own imagination. -More player-controled siege equipment. Not sure about you, but players actually moving some ballistae on wheels, smaller versions of siege towers, or even mantlets, would be a nice bonus, too. -To harken back to the perk ideas, perhaps something in the 'low-fantasy' range. Minimally effective enchantments like how Ice would slow down an enemy, or perhaps lightning to briefly stun one or two nearby targets. All of these would be on melee weapons, initially, though if someone could figure out how to make specialist ammo for ranged weapons, I'm open to adding such effects to arrows, as well. -Now I wanna see if we could get different arrows for the bows, as well. Even if it's just for cosmetic purposes, being able to choose between broadhead and bodkin arrows would be a nice flavor bonus. Anyway, that's all I got, at the moment.

All I want is the Gladius. That’s all. Like Roman and Greek armor would look great. Also would allow for more dialogue which would be regional. Going off the Kilt and face paint, they would have to add a claymore to really make it complete.
I’d love to see more voice lines (especially the celts like the Welsh, Irish and Scottish). Roman gear and Gladiator stuff would be really cool (even if a bit ancient).
I like the Bard stuff idea, but ill add a bit. A perk that only works with bard instruments, that causes an AOE effect. (A slight boost to defence, or attack [small like 5%] or a slow combat regen. Or perhaps a small movement boost.)
if i had to choose between grinding for coin, or grinding through achievements to unlock weapon skins. Id go with the coin, been through the achievement phase with BF1 already, and i aint up for a similar experiance in mordhau. If anything, id say we should have some discount days or something, so that weapons are cheaper for a while instead.
Got an idea: Add in a sword with a heavy handaxe head as crossguard and a heavy handaxe spike as pummel and multiple altmodes. First one: switch from one handed to two handed sword. The second: (from twohanded only) Mordhau grip. Hold the button to switch to onehanded Third: (only Mordhau) switch between axe- and hammerhead.
I want a peasant revolt game mode/mutator where one team is peasants only but in greater numbers. I also want engineers to be able to upgrade buildings and get points for building, repairing and attacking buildings. Playing engineer needs to be more rewarding, just like getting rid of their constructions. I would love to see different theaters like Samurais for example or a more "modern take" with Napoleonic Wars or maybe something a bit whackier like Chivalry Deadliest Warrior.
1. For the long term, release paid and themed addons for mordhau (like viking, pirate, eastern, germania, roman etc. updates) which include new maps, some new weapons or slight iterations of existing ones but themed, skins, voicelines, emotes and so on. I think this is necesary because I don't really know what Triternion is living from right now. They need another source of income rather than simply the sales from the game, which I would assume doesn't sell that great anymore. They decided against microtransactions which is a brave move in todays gaming industry, so I would be glad to spend 20-30$ for great new updates. More money = faster and better updates and development. 2. Add flexible weapons (with new physics) like whips, flails, chains and nunchuks. Also throwables like bolas which root you or knock you down. Maybe add some Alchemist gear with flasks of teargas, poison darts/arrows or a feeding cauldron that boosts some stats for everyone who feeds from it. 3. Add ways to organzie your loadouts better, yes folders or just have your own loadout for every gamemode like we have for horde atm. 4. Add way better PvE content. Yes PvP is the main focus of the game, but there is a lot of potential to at least improve Horde mode, maybe add some Bossfights against Kings or make some asymetrical gamemodes where you play like 10 vs 50 (king with his garde all buffed stats oc vs. attackers) Really hope for new content, love this game but playing invasion mode the whole day get's boring after some time.
I’d like to see new customize options for existing weapons. Bastard sword is my favorite weapon in the game, but I’m stuck using a fairly standard looking one because I don’t like either alt skin. Also, how about gaining extra gold when you level up. And for armor, I’d like to see a tabard like what we see in the Narnia movies.
I’ve had a few ideas floating around my head for a while now. What if we got flails put into the game? Could be jut like the maces but with a little more reach and a little less speed. Or how about a trident? It could literally be a reskin of the spear and I’d love it. Or to go off of your shield bashing idea, spiked shields that would deal bonus bashing damage, or even let you initiate a stamina fueled charge that’s faster than a sprint but with less turning control. And finally, give us a goddamn bucket helmet please. I wanna run around with a wooden bucket on my head, slamming enemies into the dirt with a maul so badly.
You know what would be a good idea? Not dividing up the already small playerbase. The invasion/frontline split has done exactly that. There should be votemap options and let the server choose what it wants than only playing the same mode over and over. That being said I would love a ranked 4v4 skirmish mode. There's so many different tactics and combinations of classes possible in that mode and you can easily get a squad together and try out different ways of playing. Right now playing with friends is fun but more often than not you get separated from them when someone dies off. This way you can get friends together and it should help the community grow

I agree on voices (especially german, french and italian), music and polearm durability.
I'd add more late medieval weaponry : Hakenbüchse (inaccurate, long to reload, one hit kill, have to be hooked to fire), rondache (at least as a targe skin), battle flail (like the ones used by hussites),sabers. Also more east-euro and arab clothes. And new maps

Dude, I have over 200 classes. Getting folders would be a life-changer. But what I would really love is a "tagging" system so I can set a class to appear in multiple different folders at the same time.
As for a few new weapons, I'd love to see new polearms like the military fork, the glaive, and the awl pike, as well as some sabers.
Also give us more variations when it comes to shoulder, face, neck, and headpieces! For example, we have the 1x3 shoulders and 2x3 but not 3x2 or 3x1, it can't be THAT hard to just mirror them over.
If 2 or more engineers work together they could build siege weapons, also a proper siege map with breakable walls and brimming with defences like ballistas, oil and stuff, while the attackers have driveable siege engines, build isle trebuchets and mortars and the ability to dig under the enemy
You know what, why don't we have to build the damn "Battle Ram" as an objective, while Attackers protecting it from the Defender delaying the progress. The developer team could add that in the current map had Battle Ram without changing too much.

Arming is more stab, cutlass is more, well, cut. Messer is the closest, but messer is slow. A cutlass is meant to be be very fast and long, not designed to fight armor. A cutting rapier basically.

We need more chain mail options. The current selection is one stupid looking piece of crap, a few sleeves, and one set of hose. We also should have a realistic chain mail shirt with a surcoat, not that fantasy garbage that they call a tabard, so we can actually dress like a high medieval knight.

One thing I would love to see is a rundown of damage that's been taken and where is was taken on the death screen. That way I could determine what I'm doing wrong in my defense and it could help me improve.
Seems like a good thing to improve at first glance however I disagree.
In my opinion the learning from experience rather than watching what you are doing wrong is a beautiful part of The game.
It creates a genuine experience were the Opponents you face have developed small habits, techniques and patterns uniqe to them alone.
Some do confusing feints others have decided that (Edit: spin=win*) sin=win is the best approach. Some throw their Falcion, some morph into overheads and jump just to perform a quick feint (i do this sometimes and you can have som many different outcomes) whilst others just have mouse1 as the stab key.
This diversity not only amongst the different types of players but also within these player categories and sub groups (did I spell that right?) creates a cool neverending experience and as you learn more techniques and improve the exploatation of The environment in for example 1 V X situations- you BECOME BETTER AND YOUR BLOODLUST CARNAGE WILL KNOW NO LIMITS! 😈
A massive issue with making horses behave and interact more realistically is that players do not. A real life horse is of course far weaker then a mordhau horse, a good swing at the legs would easily take it out of commission and send the rider tumbling down. But if it were that easy to stop cavalry they wouldn't have dominated warfare for 2000+ years. The truth is in real life standing still while a dude charges at you on horseback is very very difficult. It's terrifying, and fear for one's own safetyand the desire to get the fuck out of the horse's way overrides your desire to be cool and chop down the horse. But in a video game that fear doesn't exist. You'll just re-spawn in max 12 seconds if you mistime it. There's no reason not to take the swing at the horse. If such a change was implimented, you may as well remove horses from the game because they'd be useless. And I don't think that's the right direction to go in. I think the current situation is a decent balance, if you hit the rider and they're going full speed, it's almost always a kill.

I would like an advanced statistic mode where I can see teamills, Times I got teamkilled and what weapons I get killed by the most.
For example catapult, Longbow, throwing axe, Spears, riders etc this way I could tinker with my builds and adjust them to cover the weak points and blind spots in my techniques and playstyle.

I love all these ideas. Mixing together even more eras and the weapons + armor from those eras sounds exciting.
Additionally, something that's for some reason extremely controversial, I'd like to see the inclusion of a female option (+more face/ethnic options in general) as to give even more build opportunities and help with immersion for players like myself who put themselves into their characters. Surely not as a priority over new eras, weapons, armor, QoL improvements, etc. but for one it *was* a Kickstarter promise and it's something I've wanted in the game since launch when I bought it, and I know I'm definitely not alone in it.
Would it improve the overall state of the game? Well does a new weapon or two or some new armor improve the overall state of the game? Both are arguably additions to the overall experience. The customization is arguably just as integral as the combat for Mordhau's appeal, and giving more options is nothing but an upgrade in my eyes.

Well we cannot use historical accuracy as excuse, because "dung-covered peasant conversion is that way", you get the idea. So why not? That way we can finally have army of katana wielding african boyars and any kind of weapons, armor and character customization we want for our cosplays and roleplay. Solution?
: Make the female a perk. This perk would make the player slightly shorter (I say slightly shorter because taller gals were more likely to survive battle and would also probably feel more compelled. Is that the right word?). Other cool/necessary shit to include in the female perk (with The things I believe to be necessary stuff first).
1. Make them take more damage, and maybe make it so that the flesh wound perk lasts for a slightly shorter time
2. Make them deal slightly less melee damage
3. Make them jump slightly higher and maybe duck or dodge slightly faster (maybe both) (if the dodge is going to be faster, you could make the dodge reach shorter to balance it, you could also make the dodge drain less stamina).
4. Make their movement speed whilst crouched slightly faster (but not as fast as the "rat" perk)
5. I should have put this higher on the list: female voice lines that arent female versions of The existing voice lines. Also uniqe hairstyles for the females. AND DISABLE THE BEARD, thats a DEMAND... Please.
6. Maybe some uniqe emotes... Just nothing too weird... Creep.
7. They should have slightly, just slightly shorter reach.
8. Slightly quicker stamina regen, also bandages heal more than usual (more bandage for less body mass and it would be a cool feature).
9. This should be higher: customization options uniqe for females just not too feamale (war is war ffs).
10. Make them agile (matrix could maybe go slightly lower and they turn in and out with less turn cap).
11. Make them take less fall damage, climb ladders faster, make them ragdoll for shorter periods maybe even enable a dodge roll when that (possibly) drain more stamina, make them climb ledges slightly slower and make the ledge climbing drain more stamina (make jumping draw much less stamina tho).
12. Make fist damage weak unless you combine with brawler perk in which case the damage is increased to the same level as standard player and speed increases whilst less stamina is lost. Also if combined with brawler the kick should have (normal damage tho) crazy reach and knockback especially with jumpkick you could also make the kick with brawler drain the Opponents stamina.

Dam you really dove into this. If they add women then yeah you'll see tons of them. But then it'll die down. Remember when the plague dr mask came out. The battlefield was covered in chickens. But now you only see them once in a while. Just give it time and it will die down. I think untill this game gets some sort or back story or world built then historical accuracy is out the window. I just don't want them to mix in weird stuff like maori warriors. Rn it's just red vs blue and it needs some sort of conflict or something going on to make it more compelling.

Okay, I have lots of ideas for this lol... Mead as a new engy weapon. Place barrel and gives a speed boost or something but you are more likely to fall down while drunk. How about a dog AI to accompany peasants. And of course you customize the dog lol. But more so, horse customization. Let me choose the armor and patterns for the horse armor. Also, poison tipped blades. I think it should be a new peasant like skill that restricts you to smaller rogue like weapons and it applies a stacking slow debuff to help out the tiny weapons of the game. Maybe a back stab perk. I'd love to have a bleedout function with serrated weapons where there is a week dot
Crusade would be cool, you could introduce middle eastern and egyptian style maps and weaponry like the Katar hand dagger, the khopesh, the qatar sword, persian saddle ax, etc.

It is well known the the plume helmets are some of the most fashionable items in the game, but if you play in 3rd person, you may as well play with your monitor off cause you can't see a thing. I've hear suggestions in making the plume transparent or something along those lines. None the less, it's a disappointing realization after spending a fairly large amount of gold on an item you can't use if you're a 3rd person player.
I thought you were going to say we should be able to cut the plumes off helmets. It saddens me to hear you play in third person. I hope you cleans yourself of your heresy and see the light and turn to the first person side. I jest it's just my personal choice to play in first person. I didn't know plumes blocked third person tho. I'm too poor to afford one right now.....and I don't play in third. Sounds like something that should be fixed

I would absolutely love to see something for the fists. You can’t parry with normal fists so if they added something like armored brass knuckles or something that let you parry with your fists It would make boxing classes way more viable without having to scavenge for a weapon just to block and then quick switch to your fists to actually punch
I think adding something like a bounty or a daily quest system would get the game more traffic, that and there’s more incentive to play the game itself and maybe try different weapons and styles. Something like “ use clever to behead five people in one game “ type of stuff and with that you’ll get extra gold too. I saw The MCC do that and it got me back to playing even if it just for short periods of time .
I love the idea of folders and random weather/hazards! These seem like they'd be relatively easy and quick to implement compared to the effort of adding new maps and customizations. Building on the extra voices, there are a few specific taunts from Chivalry that I really miss and I think would be fantastic additions to Mordhau:
- "I've got your back"
- "You're welcome"
- "Go for the objective"
- locked battlecries (like banging your weapon against your shield to make extra noise while yelling)
I think it would also be great to have battlecry variants which are specific to the side you pick, i.e. if you're blue then your dude might shout "FREE GUARD!", or red "IRON COMPANY!". I also think a ragdoll button would be quite fun, and a great way to balance cavalry (as shown in your video) would be to be able to brace polearms so you become a spike barricade. This could also allow for team strategies where multiple spear users could block a chokepoint from melee enemies, but be vulnerable to enemy archers.

i think weapons sticking into corpses would be neat, as well as armour you can knock off, such as helmets and pauldrons. capes and addons to armour like wings (winged hussars etc) would make more possibilities to classes. a tackle ability as from what you can see from fighting enactments, people go to ground a lot, but this is a difficult idea to put into a balanced game practice
I’d like to see more renaissance stuff and maybe even matchlock muskets and wheel lock pistol if they can be balanced probably. They’ll need to be very inaccurate but I think they could work. At least the pistol. Make them hella expensive and inaccurate and they might not be too OP. I’d also love to see more beard and hair styles and the regional voices and the instruments doesn’t sound bad either. But I really think that we urgently need more leg pieces and waists that aren’t the Nordic Viking kinda look

The beard models in this game makes me think the 3D artists in Triterion are all unable to grow a beard and never seen what it looks like. It's incredibly ugly.

It simply can't work with the games design.
I would love to see Flails added, a weapon unlike any that has a very long wind up but high damage, can hit over top of shields like they can in real life by using a over head strike, very short parry window and extreme accels after a long wind up.
Also give us more cosmetics to look like knights from other orders like the teutonic knights or knights from eastern countries or five us Croatian pirates and Venetians. Or maybe a battlefield which is just an empty field like at the battle of Grunwald.
I would like to see dual wielding big weapons, your attacks would deal less damage and your defense would be limited, but maybe you could have more elaborate attack options. And it would look cool.

A type of server where its just all out war, Matches last for hours and instead of the end of matches gold is earned every 20 minutes, You need to keep bombarding the walls
Spears should have the ability to hold out their point offensively like a held block on a shield but it deals damage to you if hit by just the tip. This could be used to counter horses, to make spear formations, and to keep enemies at bay without having to resort to kicks, dodge spam, or running away.
Another thing that would be awesome is an update/expansion pack themed around a foreign nation. Imagine Mordhau Japan, katanas, japanese styled armor and helmets, glaives.

Okay so, this is not something the mordhau team could easily do, but I so wish it existed. So a few years back there was this medieval survival game, kind of in the vein of rust, called Reign of Kings, and you could attempt to claim the throne on the map, and doing so let you "tax" people, which meant when they harvest resources an amount equal or lower to 20% (you chose the amount to tax when you're king) goes to you. This encouraged trying not to piss people off because then they'd want to steal the throne from you. People already want the throne just because it basically gives you free resources. Anyways, these systems encouraged forming factions and having the head of the faction plan, and scheme for the throne, with everyone in the faction getting benefits as a result. If somehow a game could be made, or modded if more of Mordhau's inner workings were revealed to the public, to make a game inspired by reign of kings but with this combat system, holy shit. Would be amazing.
If we get a pirate themed map, a blunderbuss would be really cool. Maybe you could duel wield it with a sword or even another blunderbuss?

Medieval Handguns, long reload time, incredibly innaccurate, High damage, possibility it explodes upon firing
like that other guy said, more oriental pieces. As much as I hate to say it, if they add mongolian and chinese armor they have to add samurais and katanas and then we're gonna have weebs on a medieval battlefield in europe dressed up as samurais. Also handcannons, we have a mortar in the game meaning that cannons do in fact exist so add black powder hand cannons that I think the chinese had. Also armor from Russia too, I think we already have a lot of pieces of armor and clothing you can use to make yourself look like a viking and we have viking weapons, and gladiator weapons I'd love, as long as they add the helmets and armor (can you call it armor?) that gladiators had. Imagine dueling against a guy and he just fucking throws a net on you and stabs you, shit would be awesome.
Also fix the damn lag it's been a problem ever since the game started, I have perfect wifi and a 1k dollar gaming computer (lucky me) and you're telling me this game is lagging? Bullshit. Naval maps would be awesome and I'd love to fight on a ship but the water effects might make that map extremely laggy, I'd love to play it on horde and have sea shenanigans, also like you said with the random in-game events, rogue waves that cover the ship with water and can drag you off of it and into the sea. Also, (early) grenades would be awesome too.
Glaive/fauchard/guisarme, as a midway weapon between billhook and bardiche. so more swing damage than billhook and faster that bardiche
Pilum/angon/heavy javelin goes through shields
Caltrops to drop on the floor, less damage than bear trap with smaller hitbox, but harder to see and carry in bundles
Polearm bracing against horses and charging infantry
Spiked club/cudgel cheaper than mace and Warhammer, faster but less damage
Hatchet, shorter faster less damaging axe
Beef splitter, big two-handed meat cleaver, possibly a waraxe/Messer skin
Bolas, throwing weighted rope thing for tangling up legs, can be used to ragdoll horses and men, with a generous sideways hitbox to catch those naked hit and run maulmen as the run away
I agree with all of the additions really, even (some) pirate stuff will work since we do have weapons like a rapier which is typically late renaissance weapon. I personally would like more hair, beards, and skin tones to match different parts of Europe and the Mediterranean. An eastern update would be good as well, adding in more scale and lamellar armor, unique medium helmets and weapons like scimitars (like you said) and possibly some African weapons like the flyssa (a long thin, sword with a slight inward curve) or the shotel. Slings would be a good idea too since Chivalry has slings so why not mordhau. Also medium and light armors need some love, both are extremely barren and bland, there is room for expansion there as well. In the end, I liked the vid and your other content, I'm glad I found another small channel to support.

1. Folders for characters would indeed be handy. In the meantime, one could leave a not in parentheses on whether or not it's for Duels, but that *would* be nice to have.
2. An update on how melee weapons work against horses would be awesome; in addition to your idea, maybe have horses actively stop charging at static players w/ spears and/or massed infantry.
3. Breaking weapons, while a nice touch of realism, might not be for everyone. Maybe have it as a server option one could turn on or off as desired.
4. More customization = good.
5. Maps w/ more weather effects and times of day would be awesome, along with those RNG "events."
6. Unlock's not a bad idea, though a part of me would like a sort of recurring 2x gold event.
7. More weapon types are a MUST, here. Slings, gladiator-origin weapons and armor, musical instruments,
8. Armor/clothing/face customization options? See above opinion.
Now for personal ideas...
-More perk options: Size increase/decrease with obvious health/speed changes based on which one you pick. Also, perhaps weapon limitations to said perks, as well. Not to mention certain perks that enhance certain play-styles/weapon preferences; follow-through for one-handed blunt weapons, increased zoom and/or draw speed for bows, trading the 'throw' option for something new (sustained parry like w/ shield walls?), use one's own imagination.
-More player-controled siege equipment. Not sure about you, but players actually moving some ballistae on wheels, smaller versions of siege towers, or even mantlets, would be a nice bonus, too.
-To harken back to the perk ideas, perhaps something in the 'low-fantasy' range. Minimally effective enchantments like how Ice would slow down an enemy, or perhaps lightning to briefly stun one or two nearby targets. All of these would be on melee weapons, initially, though if someone could figure out how to make specialist ammo for ranged weapons, I'm open to adding such effects to arrows, as well.
-Now I wanna see if we could get different arrows for the bows, as well. Even if it's just for cosmetic purposes, being able to choose between broadhead and bodkin arrows would be a nice flavor bonus.
Anyway, that's all I got, at the moment.

Id be down for samurai gear, they could do multiple tiers of armor, different weapons like swords, bows and spears. Maybe with a japanese castle map
All I want is the Gladius. That’s all. Like Roman and Greek armor would look great. Also would allow for more dialogue which would be regional. Going off the Kilt and face paint, they would have to add a claymore to really make it complete.
I’d love to see more voice lines (especially the celts like the Welsh, Irish and Scottish). Roman gear and Gladiator stuff would be really cool (even if a bit ancient).
I like the Bard stuff idea, but ill add a bit.
A perk that only works with bard instruments, that causes an AOE effect. (A slight boost to defence, or attack [small like 5%] or a slow combat regen. Or perhaps a small movement boost.)
this is something ive discussed with friends too, it could be a cool way to make playing bard a bit of a support role.
New deployable and buildables are what I want, along with a scimitar.

if i had to choose between grinding for coin, or grinding through achievements to unlock weapon skins. Id go with the coin, been through the achievement phase with BF1 already, and i aint up for a similar experiance in mordhau. If anything, id say we should have some discount days or something, so that weapons are cheaper for a while instead.
i like the shield bash idea, rather than having the shields be held up with R they can make them bash and stagger instead.
Got an idea: Add in a sword with a heavy handaxe head as crossguard and a heavy handaxe spike as pummel and multiple altmodes.
First one: switch from one handed to two handed sword.
The second: (from twohanded only) Mordhau grip.
Hold the button to switch to onehanded
Third: (only Mordhau) switch between axe- and hammerhead.
It would be nice to see dual wield swords or axes. And Game of Thrones stuff.

Hey you brought up a great point! I believe in givibg credit where it's due!
I want a peasant revolt game mode/mutator where one team is peasants only but in greater numbers. I also want engineers to be able to upgrade buildings and get points for building, repairing and attacking buildings. Playing engineer needs to be more rewarding, just like getting rid of their constructions. I would love to see different theaters like Samurais for example or a more "modern take" with Napoleonic Wars or maybe something a bit whackier like Chivalry Deadliest Warrior.
1. For the long term, release paid and themed addons for mordhau (like viking, pirate, eastern, germania, roman etc. updates) which include new maps, some new weapons or slight iterations of existing ones but themed, skins, voicelines, emotes and so on.
I think this is necesary because I don't really know what Triternion is living from right now. They need another source of income rather than simply the sales from the game, which I would assume doesn't sell that great anymore. They decided against microtransactions which is a brave move in todays gaming industry, so I would be glad to spend 20-30$ for great new updates. More money = faster and better updates and development.
2. Add flexible weapons (with new physics) like whips, flails, chains and nunchuks. Also throwables like bolas which root you or knock you down.
Maybe add some Alchemist gear with flasks of teargas, poison darts/arrows or a feeding cauldron that boosts some stats for everyone who feeds from it.
3. Add ways to organzie your loadouts better, yes folders or just have your own loadout for every gamemode like we have for horde atm.
4. Add way better PvE content. Yes PvP is the main focus of the game, but there is a lot of potential to at least improve Horde mode, maybe add some Bossfights against Kings or make some asymetrical gamemodes where you play like 10 vs 50 (king with his garde all buffed stats oc vs. attackers)
Really hope for new content, love this game but playing invasion mode the whole day get's boring after some time.
Yeah I'd love to pay for more updates and help fund expansions. And pve stuff would be cool too!

I’d like to see new customize options for existing weapons. Bastard sword is my favorite weapon in the game, but I’m stuck using a fairly standard looking one because I don’t like either alt skin. Also, how about gaining extra gold when you level up. And for armor, I’d like to see a tabard like what we see in the Narnia movies.
They should add getting gold and xp after matches, that would be amazing.
I’ve had a few ideas floating around my head for a while now. What if we got flails put into the game? Could be jut like the maces but with a little more reach and a little less speed. Or how about a trident? It could literally be a reskin of the spear and I’d love it. Or to go off of your shield bashing idea, spiked shields that would deal bonus bashing damage, or even let you initiate a stamina fueled charge that’s faster than a sprint but with less turning control. And finally, give us a goddamn bucket helmet please. I wanna run around with a wooden bucket on my head, slamming enemies into the dirt with a maul so badly.

You know what would be a good idea? Not dividing up the already small playerbase. The invasion/frontline split has done exactly that. There should be votemap options and let the server choose what it wants than only playing the same mode over and over.
That being said I would love a ranked 4v4 skirmish mode. There's so many different tactics and combinations of classes possible in that mode and you can easily get a squad together and try out different ways of playing. Right now playing with friends is fun but more often than not you get separated from them when someone dies off. This way you can get friends together and it should help the community grow
