Thanks Kevin. I've watched this four times now at normal speed and bought all the right tools. I'm going to have a go on my daughter's car at the weekend whilst watching at a 1/4 speed. If I manage to do it in less than 8 hours, I promise I will donate £20. You are a clutch ninja!
Is it not necessary to drain the gear oil before removing the transmission on this model? At minute 47, what did you do and where? Thank you very much, great work. Greetings from Spain
Hi there, I think you need to use torque wrench at least for clutch replacement also fly wheel, otherwise its gonna make huge trouble based on my experiences, the clutch disk will tear apart like butter.
Hey Colin .., I’m finally able to respond to comments again.., I got blocked for a while .., anyway great to hear fro you still.., that Mac swivel is a god sent.
thanks a lot Kevin to take the time to record the video, it help a lot of people to understand how does it works. On the corsa, there is two, kit, do you check each time before the motor serial number to buy the right kit ? I have searched this number for a while without to find it.
The car on video had one most difficult bolt missing already. That bolt cannot be removed if the exhaust pipe is attached to DPF. However it is possible to do the job without removing this bolt. It just need to be undone while gearbox is separating from the engine. There is also no way to use socket key (E14) - so flat 11 will fit instead. In my case previous owner probably changed dual-mass to single-mass flywheel already, or maybe some of them had single mass factory fitted?
Amazing video... brilliant camera locations... makes all of us pretendy mechanics willing to give it a go.... as from other comments... might be good to put a note on video when using liquids / grease, what it is you use... even tho I’m sure most people know.... brake fluid / clutch fluid / red grease and then probably clutch cleaner everywhere else.... Again.... amazing work... subscribed so I don’t miss any more!!!

Great video I enjoyed watching it. Can you tell which manufacturer parts do you recommend besides the ones you installed? Here as I can see is LUK flywheel, Valeo and Sachs parts. What do you think about Blueprint parts as they are available in my country?
Hi Kevin, good job..one question: when you remove the semiaxis, do you loose the orginal gearbox oil? I'm asking because I don't see it in the movie.. thanks a lot
Hi Kevin you're videos inspired me to attempt a clutch and slave cylinder replacement during lockdown on a mk1 Focus 1.6. After putting everything together and I don't know how you make it look so easy lifting the gearboxes in, I noticed the lines would not fit my Luk concentric slave cylinder, apparently there were two different sizes for my vehicles year. I had the plug machined smaller to fit. When I tried bleeding the clutch I found the pedal very stiff and upon my second attempt I noticed no pressure and under the gearbox a puddle ( not by the bleed nipple) slave must have popped. Any advice on what could have gone wrong as to not make the same mistake? Faulty part? Wrong part supplied?Over over torqued pressure plate? Your advice would be appreciated. I'm not a mechanic but I enjoy my cars. Thanks.
I've just done my clutch but now I'm struggling to find out where a leak is coming from. It seems to be from drive shaft. Is it possible to leaked from there and do they have a seal inside. It's the only thing that's letting me down now and it's quite hard to tell where it's coming from. I only notice as I seen a rainbow patch on the floor the other day when it was raining.
hı , Great video to widen our mind about replacement this part. I wonder what liquid did you use when you extract the censor through the last part of the video? By the way I will try this work as soon as buy the parts and tools. Hi from Turkey
@@WMCS thank you, where to position my axle stands ? and what’s the tool called which holds the new clutch together as you put it back together (22:46)
Im having an issue with this same replacement, The slave cylinder keeps pushing out the seal and leaking from the slave, this is now the third slave giving me the same problem. I first suspected that it was a faulty batch, but the last one was a completely different brand. I hope you have a solution for me. This is on an Opel Corsa CDTi.

Thanks for the Reply I thought it was, was just making sure I thought it was the same fluid you put in the brake fluid reservoir 😂😂... You're the professional.. Thanks again for the Reply.
I have a 1.2 corsa D and I can't seem to bleed the clutch, I did it the same way you did in the video, I tried to bleed it at the start because it would be hard to go into first and reverse. The only way I got it working is by pumping fluid from brake calliper bleed nipple into the slave bleed nipple, basically reverse bleeding. But it worked for a few weeks and then one day I sat in the car and clutch pedal was spongy, do you know anything about this, is it the master or the slave?
@@WMCS okay thank you for that, I’m gonna replace the slave first because I found a leak right under the bell housing and it’s definitely not oil so it’s probably the slave leaking. Thanks for your help. Merry Christmas 🎄🙂
@@WMCS thankyou, I have just done a clutch replacement on a 1.3cdti corsa d, but after the change my car won't move. I can put it in gear and such, but when I release the clutch it doesn't move or stall. Would you have any idea on that, I Apreciate your time.

Brake cleaner.

What did you spray on the flywheel?
It’s brake cleaner. But any solvent works just as good
Whats the liquid hes spraying?
Am I seeing this right you don't need to undo Driveshaft from hub at all?
You are seeing correctly
Make sure to tie it up though, don't leave the cv axle hanging just from the wheel hub.
