You are a dying breed sir not to much hard working people like you anymore..i am in my 50 s right now worked my whole life and its a joy to see there are still young people who are not afraid to get the hands dirty greetings from nederland
And again Kevin, thank you for this Video. I love how you handle this Cars with ease. All of your customers are really lucky to have a professional like you for this job.
Thank you Kevin. That was one brutal teardown of subframe. Could not help to notice Renault logos on some parts here and there. Didnt know Mercedes used Renault parts. Hope you doing well and live some happy times outside work. Regards from Sweden.
The whole lot was Renault .. Renault traffic block and Renault master gearbox. All Mercedes ancillaries. Which makes it a lot more superior to the usual Renault traffic in my opinion. A very good build.
Well done Mr Williams, I used to be a championship powerlifter with a specialty on the Benchpress, you press that transmission into place making it look easy. Much respect for how you work !
Thanks for the kind gesture. It’s been well received and very much appreciated.. recovery has hit a wall.. but always mind over matter. Thank you for the uplifting few words. Kind Rgds.
Kevin, your weather is always like the weather here...... FRIGGING RAIN!! Giving a shoutout from across the pond, Thanks for another great video. This has to be the hardest work by always being on your back.
@@WMCS yes still watching ... I'm not as eager to be down in the garage in winter now, and I don't lay in the snow pulling transmissions nowadays, much too old for that ha ha.
All the time i have been watching your video's it never ceases to amaze me how you can crawl under car and van and not to show any signs of aching bones and muscles, i'de have to have a hot Radox bath every night and go to bed with a hot water bottle!
sorry i have not been on the computer as i have been ill I do not know if it is covid or a really bad dose of the flu. hope you are ok Kevin and thanks very much for the video
Do you always get the job completed by end of the day with every vehicle, , like do you ever run into trouble or have issues like wrong parts or getting clutch bled etc etc
Do you ever strip out any nuts or bolts ? What happens if you do because a simple job can turn out to be a nightmare believe me i know ..for stuck bolts i am p,anning of buying an inductionheater heard some good feedback on that,do you carry any spareparts for thing to go wrong ?
A Mercedes they forgot the propshaft to back end and shoved a Dacia gearbox in it instead.... Done a Volvo v50 or whatever it was this week with Pcr engine....actualy quite enjoyed it..😊.... Maybe you could get a white shirt and teach the job to the service matierial that work in some deslers....😂
Is it Dacia .. looks like Renault master gearbox .. I suppose they’re all one and the same now .. engine block was definitely a Renault traffic .. a bit of mix and match
@WMCS for sure it's Master or Tragic but I use the term Dacia.....in concept like my client in France 🇫🇷.....uses for my Ryobi impact gun...where's the Dacia gun Marc..?...🤣...I've got a Milwaukee ratchet now I'm quite liking....but I don't cry as much if they track over a Ryobi impact with 13 ton Hitachi..
Why do they make Clutches so hard to change nowadays? I have done a MK1 astra clutch in 45 minutes, and a 1986 Renault traffic clutch in 90 minutes. Neither of which involved stripping half the car down for access.
Thanks for tuning in
Hope it makes a good watch.

Thank you for the feedback
YOUR TRICKS MAKE IT LOOK EASY BUT IT'S NOT. YOUR CALMNESS SHOWS AS ALWAYS THAT YOU KNOW WHAT THE NEXT MOVE IS.
You’re absolutely correct.. definitely not easy as it looks in video.
Thanks for feedback 🍻🍻🍻
seeing videos like these where you drop the subframe give me the confidence I can do this in my garage. Appreciate you filming these!
Glad the videos brings a bit more clarity on tackling them jobs ..🍻🍻
This guy is a trooper! Most mechanics struggle to do a clutch on a ramp. I'm impressed 😮
You’re absolutely correct 😁🍻🍻

Getting that subframe back on on my own would have worried me
Wow. I wouldn’t have a clue where to start.
I honestly think I’d start crying 😂
It does feel like that sometimes 😁
Helâl olsun usta.

I’d say a solid 4hrs ..
Спасибо за настоящее пособие как выполнить работу в реальных условиях с уважением Сергей из Украины
Thank you Sergey… hope you’re keeping well ☮️ 🍻🍻🍻
renault engine 1.6 ???
Hi.Can I ask you how much will cost to change my clutch for all set car is vauxhall insignia 2012 diesel..
How come re-uploads only now on this channel, have you retired?
No rain this time?
Do you always get the job completed by end of the day with every vehicle, , like do you ever run into trouble or have issues like wrong parts or getting clutch bled etc etc
Even with wrong parts job gets done on same day. No margin for error when you’re booked up always 8 weeks n advance .. lots of planning

There are ways to not round bolts and stripping threads .. it doesn’t happen unless unnecessary force and techniques are used.
If the worst happens you can helicoil most
Hey kev . Hope u and family are well. Do u think u will be back on the road anytime soon?
I don’t think I’ll be hitting the road again .. Or be lifting gearbox .. but will find my way one way or another back on screen 🖥️ 🍻🍻
@WMCS oh mate I'm sorry to hear that! Keep positive about everything. Yes please don't leave youtube 😊
Hi william its me again 😊
Did you find the video for 1.0 tsi clutch change thanks

Kevin, my beautiful brother, how do you think an electric jack will make your job easier? Have a nice holiday.👍🏼
A bit too comfortable for me.. not enough hard work 😁

Getting more and more complex .. most newer cars now are mild hybrids. So more complexity on the overall repair
Looks the same as a Renault traffic set up
Hi, how are you Kevin?💪🏻
Holla … thank you for asking. I’m officially out of the game. Back to drawing board now
Is that similar to a Renault traffic
Only the bare block. All ancillaries are Mercedes own design. The gearbox looks the same but more heavy duty. I’d say it’s a Renault master gearbox.
@@WMCS Never done one of those but just thought I seen a bit of Renault there while watching the video 👍
Where the old style videos?
On the channel if you were a subscriber..!
this looks harder than brain surgery. kudos!
Thanks for the review 🍻🍻
