Hi Daniel, and thankyou for your extremely kind words about my rules summary work. Yes, it is just me (Peter) who does them all! And your description of the feeling of trust you get when you see one of my summaries is probably the most gratifying feedback I've heard in all these years of making them. Thankyou mate!

Dude! I love your work. You are single-handedly responsible for me getting back into the hobby. I was into hobby games in the 80s - 90s, and then took quite a long break (the last hobby game I played during that time was Pokemon CCG and Shadowfist CCG). I started getting back into things with Arkham Horror 2nd, and a lot had changed in games during my break! AH2e was a lot more complicated than games I was used to (Talisman). I had the hardest time learning that game, and got really frustrated. Then I found your rules summary on BGG, and it totally saved the game for me! Ever since then, I've been singing your praises. The work you do for the hobby is invaluable. I would actually pay you $100 to do a rules summary for Dungeon Crusade. :)

Awesome overview! I can't stop playing since I got mine to the table. One note in terms of the combat "complaint" you had. It does give an overall combat Level of the monsters you'll be fighting in the encounter book. Take that level and match it up to the chart at the back of the rules book to tell if it's easy or very difficult. Can sway your choice sometimes. :)

I love your enthusiasm for this game. It's refreshing to see a game that really really clicks in every way. It's interesting that you've only engaged in one battle. Combat seems to be an almost superfluous mechanism here. Makes me wonder if a game like this requires a 'combat system' at all.

I got this game last week and am probably 4 hours into my first campaign; I've had maybe 8-10 combat encounters...they were integral to several of the plot lines. Granted, I have not seen most of the quests but I wonder if it's simply a matter of different valid paths one can take through the game: combat heavy or not. In some ways, that would make the game even more impressive than it already is.
