Thanks for this info. Another thing you can do is disconnect your battery then reconnect it. Worked for me.

I replaced the battery and that didn't work. I replaced the key fob antenna located at the rear of the vehicle and that didn't work. So, your suggestion would be buy a new key?

Yes, I took it in to the dealer...they said it couldn't be reprogrammed. I had to get a new key.

Exactly! I called my local dealership and they said it was $100 to reprogram it too.

Dealership in Austin Texas charges $204 for key fob, $180 for reprogramming it. FYI 2011 Grand Cherokee Overland
