The Hummer EV is GMs answer. and price is 120k for the one with all the power to compete and range.
They had talked about bringing back the Avalanche name for the ZRX prototype, but I'm not sure if that's happening anymore. My source at GM is working from home and not able to hear as much from his engineering buddies.

@@varundeenoo4836 good for what? Good for bad rods? Good for 70k miles? Believe me I love v8s I use to love the idea of hellcat powered stuff. First problem is the hemi has never been the most reliable thing. For 2 the trans is not the best. Adding that to heavy cars and heavy trucks is not the answer. Why do you think you see people LS or coyote swapping cars but not hellcat swapping them? Dodge is the only one hellcat swapping everything. To make more power than factory you are looking at a total engine rebuild. All it would’ve taken is a different tune to get more power out of the TRX. But they won’t do it because they need it to be a little more reliable. Now that it has an extra couple 1000lbs to haul around. They can’t push the power. People tune the ecoboost and for $900 you have a raptor that stomps the TRX. They say 0-60 in 3.8 but the best people have seen so far is 4.6secs the raptor does that and faster with a tune. It’s the weight. Same reason you see mustang gts with just suspension and tire beating hellcats at the dragstrip. Power isn’t everything if it weighs a lot. Plus 20k in upgrades you can make 1100+ hp out of a stock bottom end coyote or built Ls and run 7&8s in the 1/4.. the hellscats redeyes and demons. They are limited by there weight and the fact you can only push so much power out of that engine. I wish it was better I spend all day around them and they all end the same way. Holes in the block at 70-120k miles and being gentle on them and left stock. That’s why after all these years they have been out you don’t see much aftermarket support. Whipple is getting there and finally you have mod2fame trying to turbo a hellcat engine. Which as much as they break is daring but I give him a A for effort.

The TRX has 702hp. When the engine can produce 717hp. Dodge added a more restrictive/filtered air intake system to protect the engine from dust/water and other off-road conditions.
As mentioned in the video, most American people who will be buying this truck will never off-road it so I think Dodge should offer the full 717hp variant as well for a "street-use TRX"
I may be 2 years late but i off-road and tow the crap out of it.

My 2016 Honda Accord sedan, with a 4 cylinder not the 6, would do 130 mph and was governed there. I was more surprised that the system lets you activate cruise control at that speed. You’d think there would be a limit lol.

Yes and no really. Hybrids aren't going to save the planet. Have a look how they make the batteries we'll get a mix of allsorts I think, hydrogen amongst them . But more fuel efficient cars, but planes, boats use loads more.
I'm a refrigeration engineer and what I do at work has more impact on the environment than the 5k miles I do a year in my 1jz Crown VX. For example an 11.5kg bottle of R404a is about 40 tonnes of C02, that's a lot of miles in that one bottle. Oh, and CO2 refrigerant you don't have to reclaim, you can vent it and it is made fresh, not taken from the atmosphere. Yet they tax your vehicle on the c02 that is emitted from the pipe.
FCA is paying other automakers to put them out of business buying their tax credits. Just wait and see.
