The V10 for the viper was originally a truck motor that was " massaged" and put in the viper. Oddly enough, it took over ten years to think they should take that massaged motor and reinsert it back into a truck
They made the v10 to be a truck engine actually. For towing n what not. It sat on the shelf for awhile before they tuned it and dropped it in the vipers
When i see this truck all I can remember is the video of a guy doing a burnout and turning it on it's roof. Power of a Viper, handling of a pickup truck !

I've come to find he isn't the greatest at vehicle reviews.
Charles Tannehill I agree, his vehicle reviews are gimmicky. He never has accurate details; or he misses key points on anything he reviews
He doesn't even know grey keys are transponder keys, black keys aren't. They made grey and black key fobs for driver 1 and driver 2 and those match the color of the 1 and 2 buttons on the door.

Yup and even held the occasional middle passenger with the stick as I can attest in my old manual 77 chevy K20. Shifting into reverse was difficult though.

Viper owners: The viper V10 isn’t a truck engine!
Dodge: Hold my beer.
Hold my beer. How original.
Hold my wrench any better
The V10 for the viper was originally a truck motor that was " massaged" and put in the viper. Oddly enough, it took over ten years to think they should take that massaged motor and reinsert it back into a truck
They made the v10 to be a truck engine actually. For towing n what not. It sat on the shelf for awhile before they tuned it and dropped it in the vipers
No viper owner has ever said that stupid shit
I used to have a 2002 single cab short bed Dodge ram with a manual transmission. It also had a middle seat with seatbelt and all. That truck was fun.
I'm willing to bet top dollar that Doug actually doesn't have a house, he just lives in the basement of CNC Motors without them realizing.
When i see this truck all I can remember is the video of a guy doing a burnout and turning it on it's roof.
Power of a Viper, handling of a pickup truck !
A pickup that could still chase down ferraris on a road course. Someone back in the day described the spectacle of seeing a bright red truck looking in his rear view mirror coming out of a corner, looking not remotely graceful it was still keeping up lol.

"Thanks for reviewing one of my trucks, Doug" - Wolfgang Bernhard
You know, I may be going out on a limb here, but I’m thinking it’s only those 50 VCA editions that have Bernhard’s signature on the engine - just as it’s only those editions that have his signature on the interior plaque. As for the window sticker, that is clearly an item that was signed for the special day at Daytona.
Wolfgang Bernhard, Chief Operating Officer for the Chrysler Group at the time, apparently.
@@TheClash122 That seems logical, you're probably right.
Doug would just as soon have you believe that Bernhard signed every window sticker and engine.

Doug, the type of guy that's never seen a single cab manual truck before...
"This is weird/unusual"... Pretty normal actually.

No, it's not normal at all. Manual, full sized, ½ ton trucks are very rare, especially non work truck models. (From this year truck onward.)
@@xenonram this truck was made in 2004 and standard transmissions full size trucks were very common then... mabe not where you are but in the rural West Tennessee area at least 50% of our full size trucks had manual transmissions and I know people who are still driving trucks from the early-mid 2000s because they don't want a automatic... Ram was still offering a manual transmission in their 2500 through 2018... and I know people who bought 1 because it was the last year available.... I wouldn't be surprised to see them come back at some point... I love my shift able automatic but I would take a manual 6 speed over it any day or of the week...

Chrysler at the time used those different key colors depending on whether the key was chipped or not. Black was no immobilizer and vehicles equipped with gray keys had immobilizers (SKIM)

Me: cup holder.
