You already have the mentality for art, you're gonna be just fine. Most people who try to get into art always give up when they start to struggle, what they don't realize is that the struggle is necessary and even great artists struggle pretty often at times, it's a big part of the process. Without it you won't really improve as an artist. The ones who get good are the ones who never gave up, they pushed through it all and came out the other side stronger and wiser 🤝
Thank you, I hope to keep going and learning from the mistakes I make. This week really made me think about trying to learn new things. Even if at first it seems like it's not working to just give it time. Thanks again.
Really nice Work! a little tip when using the loomis method for anime stylization is to add another segment(or half) for the forehand, it will help it look a lot more like the ref!
I think you are doing great on your art journey honestly, keep up the work champ. Though if i can give you any advice honestly then one that i would definitely recommend is to seeking an art mentor or just a community where you can seek for direct and constructive criticism that either pin point your mistakes and tell you what to do next. As an self taught (anime) illustrator i struggled alot on what to study or how to draw something "correctly", I ran into burnouts after burnouts and simply cant figure out where i was wrong and what should i do about it. But I was fortunate enough to find a community where everyone are also friendly and constructive when i was on a low-intermediate level. And now after 4 years of drawing and improving i can finally draw some of the artworks that i can be proud of (im still not professional yet though) thanks to those ppl. So if you are feeling stuck, I think it would be a great idea just to seek for external guidance on social interactive platforms like Discord or so. Wish you keep up the grind and start slapping bangers \\👑👑👑//
You've mentioned the one thing that divides being able to succeed and failing early. This is easier said than done, I am well aware of it myself. While I am not an artist myself, I am pursuing something... that sometimes makes me question: "Will I ever be good at it?" Yet at the same time, this too is part of the journey. I hope that you and I and everyone that reads this succeeds in their plans. We're all in this together, let's do our best! And needless to say, the end result looked very very good! :D
Thanks for the support, I have had that feeling of am I ever going to be good at this. I always tell myself that this is where people give up not knowing how close they are to the next milestone. Keep going with your journey best of luck to you.
Dude I respect your persistence and dedication toward practicing not everyone can practice and study after they've realised "oh shit making art IS HARD" I really applause you for that As for the head and drawing heads I have found it's easier to actually draw the shape of the head as a whole and then add hair and facial features on it like an artist named Saito Naoki he is a great Japanese artist and teacher combo to boost I highly recommend you to watch his videos if you haven't already he presents many approaches to reach the same results which is what I like about him specifically look for any full drawing process videos he has to understand what I meant by drawing the head shape as a base for everything
Man, i gotta thank youtube algorythm for that one. I've just started my drawing journey a month ago and been struggling with even going past the sketching process, thinking that, since my sketch is already so bad why even bother completing the painting... But I got really inspired by this video for some reason, thanks for sharing your experience. I guess not giving up too early is really something i needed to hear! Time to subscribe and hop on the drawing journey with you, can't wait to see where it goes :)
Long time lurker first time poster, glad to see you keeping up with your art. Great to hear your mindset and I know you will get there one day. The little stuff are showing like when drawing the first head, you redrew the eye because it was too far apart. Keep it up Arbiter Wolf.
The second drawing looks so much better! I believe it may also work to do a drawings (such as the one of the begging) then "study" (like the boxes, videos, etc) and then attempt it again.
Just stumbled on your channel and dang, this is awesome. Keep going man! Now I also really want to document my journey too, since I plan on locking in to do a month improvement challenge soon (after wrapping up a version of inktober + life) Anyways this is super inspirational
Beginner to beginner practice proportions, once you start to understand how things are placed they start to become more easier to visualize. Practice practice practice ❤!
I've been watching some of Drawabox's videos along with Proko's videos for help. A lot of my success came when I just kept trying even when it felt like nothing was going right.
To anyone reading this, please repent and believe the gospel! There is a loving God who wants to save you. And because He loves us, He (Jesus) died on the cross and resurrected 3 days later so we can be forgiven of our sins and be saved. Please think about the state of your soul, don't let this chance pass you by. Believe in Jesus and follow Him so you may have salvation. Life is short, please make the right choice today before its too late. Jesus loves you and is waiting for you to put your faith in Him.

I keep failing at drawing my boxes, they are always wonky and more loaf shaped...if the loaf didn't raise well. T_T

U should draw a vertical line to indicate where the chin and eyes will be or else ur character will look like they have receding chin
Thank for the advice, will try that with some practice drawings and see if it helps me more.
Try taking a vacation
