😊😊😊...For those wondering how to hook your new pump up(with the weird wire colors)...Here's what I did a few days ago...This also presumably nobody's been there before and "dinked" up anything.. Take out your new pump...Take out the old pump, hopefully its still factory, not somebody's f-upped one...Look at/orientate the two pumps side by side...Underneath the cover plates, you will see which wire goes to where...4 connections....One wire on top will be the Common ground for the cover plate...One will go to the sender/float assy...2 will be red and black...Going to the pump...Nevermind what colors up top...Under the cover plate connections is the key...Whatever colors the factory or the aftermarket manufacturer used, hook up your wires based on where it goes *- UNDER*- the cover plate...Cover plate is what the Locking ring holds...It's 10,000 factory wire colors out there...Depends on if the guy was drunk that day, used Whatever colors he could see, what day the trk was assembled, what version of the trk...F-150, 250, 350, ...4.9, 5.0, 5.8 Diesel, Extra Cab, Standard cab, Long bed, short bed, or no bed...or the wire bundle ran out that day, and the Line Leader had to go to Lowe's and Home Depot and buy whatever they had in stock...Who knows...It's a "Ford thang", I guess....Mines is working great....Used "Delphi Brand" from another online reseller....No probs so far...Took me over 12 hrs to install coz that "Filler neck hose" is evil and a few other thangs that were blocking the tank from going back in...And, It's Summertime in Texas...Blazing Hot 🔥 🔥🔥🔥🔥 by 8 am and no help and "Flatbacking" on the Concrete...So yeah, Lovely conditions...But... We got it done....Now, to the front pump...Don't have a Lift...So, both tanks need to be dropped using a Floor jack and Soda Crate fabbed up together....Cheers....

Take the bed off, if you are doing one you might as well do both, you will thank yourself later

I need to see how you spliced the connectors. Due to mine still has the original connector and it’s big.

+TankArcade We do not have a video for this repair right now, but we'll keep this request in mind for a future video!

Will this fix the front tank from overflowing when using the rear tank? Does it come with the check valve?

+Israel Escamilla We wouldn't be able to diagnose an issue like that here, you may want to have a local mechanic take a look at it. Thanks for checking us out! 1aau.to/m/Shop-1AAuto-c

What is the function of the third line on top of the new pump? The old pump did not have that steel line and it was not connected to anything. Is it a port to syphon fuel out in the event of a future failure? If so, it's a nice feature.

Did I buy the wrong pump, haven’t installed yet but the wires on the top of the pump are not in the same spot

I went to replace the gas tank, sending unit and fuel pump on my 1993 F150. But oddly enough I found that the sending unit had a different electrical connector than the one in your video. Which is the same sending unit I ordered for my 1993 F150. But I'm finding out that the sending unit in my truck, both of them, are a 1991 style. Totally different electrical connector. Why would this be? Would they use earlier sending units sometimes in the 1993 trucks?

Why didn't you show how to mount new sending unit on new fuel pump

Why not drop the tank to SEE what you’re doing with the stupid connections. ? I believe the hoses are long enough to do just that.

😭😭😭...For the life of me, I don't know or can't understand why my pump harnesses are *HARDWIRED* to the main factory harness...Both are/were...Have to "splice" in, no Connector available...😭😭
