The original grill would look way better , all it needs is a quick paint job to look new . Put that new one back onto your barbecue where it belongs 😂

Regular maintenance kept my '93 F150 XL 300cui I6 going from my Grandfather to my Dad to me for 754,000 miles.
The guy I sold it to in 2023 is still driving it to pick up scrap metal in Miami.

I have an '89 super cab 4x4, straight six 5 speed. My dad bought it new, I've had it for the last 24 years. It's outlived every other vehicle I've owned. I drive it all the time.

I worked with an older guy back in the late nineties and his f150 had 150,000 miles on the clutch before he changed it, and his mechanic said it still looked good. The gentleman’s truck was an early 90’s f150.

Nice truck. These Bull and Brick Nose Fords have become THE hot truck build out here in the Southwest Triangle. Both 2wd and 4wd and both long bed and short bed. They are affordable, the parts are still plentiful, it's easy to put a more powerful engine and although I'm not a "Ford guy" they aren't bad looking trucks, Alot of them are being built as Daily drivers but there's more than a few that are full custom builds, I have a buddy in my Car Club that has an 1980 F100 that he's building into a lowered street truck on the cheap and it looks bad-ass.

Loved the 80-96 F series. My ‘84 and my ‘95 were some of the best trucks and took a beating.
Biggest issues on this generation seems like the radiator support on these all rotted away.
That regular cab shortbox 4x4 would be a riot with a 5.8 and one of the new updated tremec NV4500 4x4 5 speeds.
While the TTB could have a habit of chewing up front tires, a nice SAS (solid axle swap) with a 78-79 front F150 D44 would be simple and make this F150 a lot better for a small lift and some 33’s.

😊😊😊...Well, he most definitely covered all the problem points in these old OBS's...Especially, that "Slave Clutch Assy"... Had a 1994 Ford f150 with the 4.9/300 and 5 speed...Previous owner did a Reman tranny, but didn't change the Secondary Clutch...Guess which part went out...???. Yup, Secondary Clutch...Now, you can't shift or take the tranny outta gear without yanking it out or slamming it into gear...
Would've been nice if they left a parts list and from where they sourced them...

You shouldn't use a ratchet to break bolts loose. The ratchet mechanism and teeth are not made to withstand that abuse in the long run. Either use a wrench or a breaker bar.

If you actually used good tools you'd know you don't break the gear or pawl you twist of the head and the tool guy replaces it for free. You don't work on anything professionally stop giving advice you've read in a book.
