Takatoshi Naitoh's In The Forest just after a clouded dawn in the hills of New Zealand in the middle of summer, with a little smoke from a kiseru, wafting incense smoke, a small cup of warm green tea, and some handstitching - I cannot ask for more. Thank you, should be asleep.
Lullabyes for adults.... Very relaxing stuff. I wonder if folks of the 23rd century living in their concrete world will listen to this in amazement... "So that's how birds sounded" ? Tomorrow's historical heritage in more than one way....

Truly one of the most relaxing forest ambiance music videos I have found in TH-cam. The bird sounds are not at all interrupted by the music tracks, they are beautifully combined together! Congratulations to Takatoshi Naitoh and to should be asleep for sharing!
I think in terms of a journey of tastes in art, my music journey is my favourite. It started with my brother being really into ambience which rubbed off on me, then it progressed into loving bedroom pop (Fox Academy). Which then lead me to Jerry Paper (a synth Jazz artist who stated in ambience), which then allowed me the chance to listen to Yasuaki Shimizu's album Kakashi, One of my all time favourite albums! From there it's been one beautiful soft Japanese album after another and I couldn't be happier! This album breathes beauty and peace. What was your Journey to this music? I'd love to hear the chain of events that lead you here!
Hello, just discovered your channel. Loving it so much. In the Forest is just the vibration I was looking for. Funny how the right thing comes along at right time. Thank you
That's what they play in heaven all day, so for those who love decibels or dirty lyrics, you'd better start practising while you're here on Earth, because eternity is quite a long time to have to listen to things you don't appreciate or understand... I'm sure even a lot of cats in their baskets, parakeets in their cages, dwarf hamsters in their plastic houses looooove this kind of music...
The second track reminds me of educational videos from the 90s and early 2000s where the scenes would transition by having the new clip fly in from the corner
Amazing album. Also something crazy I found out the other day, you can hear the same samples of birds in the some places (small forests and Kakariko village) of Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Edit: See example at th-cam.com/video/aLpiff1ou_M/w-d-xo.html , 11:02 - 11:05

its funny because it gives me Shenmue vibes ... which Twin Peaks also does
Same sort of vibe near the end parts! I thought of that dreamlike quality of a good story, too!
