I'd say that's a main essence of the spirituality, however one might practice it. For me it's mindfulness meditation, yoga, drawing and listening to music like this: activities that help me be more in contact with moment. Luckily, this type of music fits with all those activities (and more, like reading) that I do by myself.

The first track played literally makes me feel like everything is gonna be okay and teleports me back to the innocence childhood of just observing the world around me. Hiroshi's music is such a gem!

    • @victor-hi2uw
      @victor-hi2uw ปีที่แล้ว +13

Word. Hiroshi's music really encapsulates that feeling of peace. Simply observing the world around oneself is really what we should all be striving for. I really like Eckhart Tolle's work about this topic. I'm currently reading his book The Power of Now and I can't hide just how much it has helped me understand why I'm so restless and, more importantly, how to create stillness and peace in my mind.
If that sounds interesting to you, and you haven't read it already, I highly recommend you do. Random book recommendation from one stranger to another, I'm not sponsored, lol. Peace be with you.

@@victor-hi2uw Hey bro! Thanks for sharing and enhancing even more the feeling of this particular music.
I also appreciate you mentioning the book. When I read the name I was like why is that name so familiar and I realize the book you mentioned. I have it currently in my shelf and never managed to finish it since im all over the place. Im gonna start reading it then honestly, because I think its something I need in my life right now! Thanks a million and recommending this, cheers!

@@victor-hi2uw That's cool that you connect this sort of music to the idea of mindfulness and being more in touch with each moment. I work in the mental health field with youth and those sorts of practices are very popular now but for good reason. Obviously more tricky with youth to encourage these things, but always good to plant seeds.
Building that skill of mindfulness and comfort with oneself is not easy. Maybe one of the hardest things to do, but in my opinion, probably one of the most worthwhile uses of one's time. Music like this evokes the same sort of serenity for me. I love listening to ambient music while reading. All the best to you!

I live near the ocean in Japan a little outside Tokyo. I was going for a walk one day near Hayama and recently was really into this album by chance. I went into the contemporary art museum they have there on a whim and strangely enough they had a bunch of drawings and sound sculptures Yoshimura made. There was this metal tube filled with fluid with instructions to lift it up to your ear and listen to it. I thought it was a cool coincidence and this album is very evocative of the area around Hayama.

    • @andrewkane9328

hey John, glad you could take something from this LP. I found this album back when I was 16 in a music forum, decided to upload it and it has stuck with me for some time now. I go back and revisit it once in a while. If you like this record, I think you should give Green a chance, it's by Hiroshi as well. I also strongly recommend you listen to Async by Ryuichi Sakamoto, it's a beautiful ambient - modern classical album full of cute, great songs that reminds me of Four Post Cards as well.

Create with your heart and you can't go wrong! Be true to what the universe sends you. When you think about what you're doing, then stop. True music has nothing to do with thoughts. Only emotions. If you're switched on to the right frequencies, then what you create will resonate with those you want to attract and those who are seeking what you create. Everything else is really just transient immaterialism.

amai kamiru the mp3 files are still in 320 though! I was sure I'd left the download link in the description box or in a coment but...well I'll have to upload them again! I'll pin the download link as soon as I get to do it :)

I just love Hiroshi . Listen to him every Day lately. Does anybody feel parts of this remind you of the intro to Sheena Eastons „For your Eyes only“?

I’m so effing thankful I discovered Japanese ambient one fateful night on LSD. Life hasn’t been the same since.

Rest In Peace. We are all still listening to what you made, all these years later. The emotions you have stirred in us all, the healing, granting many of us the ability to carry on our own torch, To never let it burn out. Bless you wherever you are now. I hope you escaped the ever spinning wheel. Hopefully I will meet you there, that exists outside of its grasp.

hey everyone. I'm planning on actually putting up some more underground/hard to get lps again.
I was 16 when I put this one up and had no time to actually research more stuff, I also wasn't able to find this record in FLAC back then. You'll have to excuse me sharing my original 320kbps rip for now, at mega.nz /folder/ CokhDJxS#u-hurgVeSYxGUAGAiL3b7w
I'm glad so many people like this record. I loved it back when I was a teen. still remember it fondly 6 years later.

That first song… Reminds me so much of the Wii main menu music. I’d be surprised if 吉村 wasn’t an influence for that.
