    I have a 2019 B2601. It's been a great tractor. Run a 5 ft bush hog and box blade with no issues. I would purchase again....perfect for my little 7 acre world.

    The B2650 step is relatively cheap to purchase and bolts right on the B2601. The mounting holes are under your floor mats.

      Thank you for the suggestion, I have thought about doing that with my tractor. Unfortunately with the mid mount mower it doesn't provide enough clearance.

      I have the step and the mmm. I just don’t bring it up all the way. Comes up about 90% without hitting the step.

    Would I buy another 2601. no not really. Is it a very capable little tractor, YES IT IS. My complaint is the width, "K" should have made the rear at least 4 inchers wide for stability on hilly ground. And the rocker tram peddle is a PIA if you have big feet and are over 5 and a half feet tall the kitchen is pretty tight. And who ever thought to put R4 skid steer tires on a tractor should be looking for a new job! Other wise it is a fine little tractor, if I were to do it again, I would have opted for the B 2650 or the now labeled LX series. Now just MHO,, your milage may vary

      I agree with you, although I do like the R4 tires around the house the LX2610 looks like a pretty sweet tractor 👍

    Hello, I just picked up a B2601, traded in a BX2380 for it. Overall I like it, but it has its good and bad qualities. I mow just over 8 acres, which is why I moved up, BX had the 54 inch mid mount deck, and I have the 60 inch mid mount deck on the B2601, turns out that the B2601 is a lot heavier and tends to rut up the yard in the wet areas. So if it is just for Mowing, with a tractor, the BX2380 was Better. The loader is better on the B2601 than the BX2380, really like the two curling cylinders better. The Swif tach loader also gave me issues on the B2601, and took watching a few TH-cam videos to figure it out, one of the parts was on backwards, once I got that figure out, works great. Never had a problem with it on the BX2380. I also have a 1248 box blade and the 3pt on the B2601 is better with the position control, the BX2380 only had a quarter inching value. As far as handling a 48 in brush cutter, definitely goes to the B2601. So if I had it to do over the BX2380 being paid for, I should have kept, and got a bigger tractor. As for the 3rd function, I have a KX 033-4 excavator with hydraulic thumb.
    I also have a old B3200 TLB, which is what I should have traded in for a L6060, wishful thinking anyway. 🤔

      Personally I think that my B2601 is too big for my yard as far as it goes for mowing as well. I am going to get into that in part 3. Thanks for letting me know about your experience!

      How long to mow 8 acres?

  • @johnnsmith7932

    I hav a B2601 and have put 700 hours on it and have never taken the front end loader off of it. To each their own. I use the bucket, a stump bucket, a grapple, forks, a box blade, a single plow, a front mounted trailer hitch, and a mid-mount mower and none of this requires the front end loader to be removed in my opinion.

    • @timschison52
      @timschison52  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      At my house it is very tight for getting around with the mid mount mower so removing the loader is a must,,,unless I want to do a pile of trimming. Thanks for watching!

      @johnnsmith7932 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@timschison52 I'm just the opposite. At tight places I use my Deere X390. I have a very deep and steep ditch by the highway and having the front end loader with the bucket on makes it feel much safer going up the ditch banks with the mid mount mower. In addition this lets me step over the mower deck to attach and it makes it much faster to attach and remove. Everyone's conditions. are different so we all have to. do what's best for our situation. Have a great day!

    FYI. Just a suggestion. When removing the grapple, loop (attach) the grapple hydraulic lines back on themselves. This will prevent any pressure buildup and will make the hook up process very easy.

    • @timschison52
      @timschison52  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you very much, I have tried this and have had to use wrenches to disconnect them that way as well. When you hook them together they still make a closed loop and build pressure.

    Agree on the loader release mechanism....too complicated. Mine had a bolt loosen on the lever side... which then bent when unfolding the stand. Thankfully it was just a bolt and easily replaced. A couple of simple pins would be better

    Thank you for sharing! Enjoying this series, I have been on the fence for a few years. My old beat up workhorse Kubota has gotten to the point of cost/downtime for repairs vs a monthly payment.

      Personally I am drawn to the B2601 with a backhoe but I like the changes made with the 2 series. Other than lifting the occasional log for firewood, my 5 acres would function fine with the B series.

    Hi Tim Love your videos you do a good job. I agree with you. There are so many moving parts on that quick disconnect. I had the same problems and had to figure out how to make the adjustments on it that the service people didn't even know how to make. The problem is they won't sell it without that quick disconnect anymore.

    Enjoyed this review as I'm just about to pull the trigger on a new Kubota, trying to decide between the LX2610 and the L2502. Not sure what options to get right away so it's been interesting to hear your thoughts, look forward to part 2 🙂

      Between the two you listed, I would say the LX2610. If you have a little bit more property I would suggest the new L4801, might be 4802, saw it on TH-cam some where.

    Why are you reviewing a B2601 when you have a L2501? Sure kind of the same, but can also be vastly different.
