    Great video! One thing about swimming in the Rila Lakes though - it is forbidden! You could get a fine because swimming inside affects the ecosystem and endangers the small water animals. Actually Bear Grylls did a show in the area and swam inside the lake, later receiving a fine.... :D

    I live in a semi-suburban area in the UK and we have loads of foxes. Many of them don't even bother running away if they see a human walking, but thankfully they're not tamed to the extent that they would come closer to you.

    Hey, Gabriel. The traditional route is from the main hut streight to the hill and then circle around the lakes. Where you started the hike is where it usualy ends. But it can be done like that as well

    Hey Gabriel. Im curious. Will you one day also do a extensive trip to the many heavy mountain regions on the mainland Greece? Like for example going from Mount Tymfi + vikos gorge and Aoos gorge, to the Tzoumerka mountains, to the Pindus mountains, to Agrafa and Evrytania and Acheloos valley to Karpenisi and Evrytania to Mount Giona, mount Parnassus, mount Vardousia in Greece? Look it up as an example. It would cover hundreds of kilometers of uninterrupted mountain sceneries with so much diversity.
    Although it is advised to do it in April-May when temperatures are perfect, mountains still snow covered and valleys full with wild flowers

I was cringing when you held your hand out to the Fox for the reasons you mentioned. What a drag it would be to get a little bite and then have to get rabies shots. I actually recorded a whole segment talking about the sandals while I was hiking, that went on for several minutes, but decided not to include it. In short, the reason is because shoes take up a lot of space, and if I'm not going to be in cold places for a while then it isn't worth the hassle of carrying around a pair of shoes. But sandals definitely aren't ideal on a rainy hike in the mountains.

    Hi Gabriel!
    Question about the camera.
    I know you prefer the DJI Osmo Action, but nowadays it's become rare and overpriced. What other camera do you recommend buying now?
    I thought about several options - the GoPro 10 (although there are many complaints about problems with it), wait until the new GoPro 11 comes out (but it may take some time) or even use a smartphone for this purpose (but it's less convenient).
    What do you think about it?

    • @GabrielTravelerVideos
      @GabrielTravelerVideos  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I would pay extra for the DJI Action (the first one). I think it's the best choice for vlogging. If there's something better I'll buy it but I haven't found it yet. It's small, lightweight, durable, waterproof and shoots good video, especially if there's sunshine.

The company my Dad worked for would have classes on the subject once a year and he would come home and relay that information to us.

    For the Brits, the pound is weak compared to the Euros, and the Euros cost more

      Exactly Dee and with the way things are going, the euro is going to get worst against exchange rates

      @@goostrey4210 It depends who you are talking to Goostrey. For businesses who trade with most European countries, many would say it’s not good. For others who don’t like EU regulations imposed from outside, they would support brexit. I guess it’s who you talk to and whether they have a committed ideology behind them

      @@dee74raz I was thinking of the exchange rates. Yes, it's good for UK exports but I wonder what will happen if/when there is GBP/USD parity.

    Don't do like Gabe! Go there in a proper mountain shoes. These lakes are in national park and all plants and animal are protected there. Keep in mind, this is a very popular spot during summer and you may wait 30 minutes, just to get to the lift. Fun fact Bear Grylls shot an episode there and he got fined for killing a frog in one of the lakes.
