Actor Johnny Depp is suing ex-wife Amber Heard for $50 million for defamation in connection with Heard’s 2018 Washington Post op-ed, in which she spoke out about being the victim of domestic violence. Heard’s article did not specifically name Depp as her alleged abuser, but according to Depp’s lawsuit, it relied “on the central premise that Ms. Heard was a domestic abuse victim and that Mr. Depp perpetrated domestic violence against her.” Amber Heard is counter-suing Depp for $100 million.
The defamation trial began Monday in Fairfax County Circuit Court in Virginia, with jury selection completing on the same day. This judge was perfect for this case. She doesn't care about Hollywood culture or superficial things like hair and makeup. She has an excellent work ethic, and is just here to do her job as well as possible. No theatrics, outbursts, or biased behaviors. She's the type of judge every case deserves to have preside over it.

Also, after observing their seperate demeanors in court, I can't understand how Amber claims to be the alleged victim with subsequent PTSD. She comes off as stoic and annoyed. Johnny is clearly cowering and nervous. She is caught eyeing him and everyone else throughout the first leg of the trial and he hardly makes eye contact with anybody. I understand that you can't make these kinds of assumptions based on body language alone, but you don't normally see a victim fearful of their life with severe trauma trying to maintain that kind of contact with their abuser. It just doesn't sit right with me.

I feel bad for Johnny Depp because I experienced the same situation when I ended my relationship with a former girlfriend she falsely accused me of hitting her the police came to my door and arrested me for domestic violence when I went to court a friend of hers testified on my behalf that she lied about the whole thing and she ended up going to jail for lying and making a false police report this is a vindictive woman

The fact that she got a restraining order AFTER he left for tour just shows it was her publicity stunt to slander his name. Like he already was out of the country and wasn't going to see her for a while so it's not like she needed it. And she broke the restraining order herself
That stunt was because he didn't comply with her blackmail demands (the lawyers letter), this was about her wanting money. Then it become about her being a professional victim.

AH reminds me of my stepmom. She was a really bad drug addict and she used to rob my dad any chance she got. I remember being at their house one time- she encouraged my dad to drink with her on his payday, and then when he finally passed out, she stole all his money & called up some of my stepbrother's friends and said that he had beat her. They showed up, woke him from his sleep and dragged him out of the house, beat him with a bat and left him in a ditch. I was younger, witnessed the whole thing and didn't know what to do. She gaslit him after and told him he'd hit her (even though I was in the same room with them the whole time). She also told him he must have spent all his money, lost it or the guys took it when they jumped him. She then laughed about it to me after the fact, proud of what she'd done. He loved her for 20 years, and 10 of those she had been sober and a different person, so I guess I understand why it took so long to leave her. I think deep down he thought she would get better. I'll admit I didn't have a great relationship with my dad, but I will never forget that day. She had everyone (including me) convinced that he was beating her and after that event, I'm not sure what I believe anymore. Some women are not above lying and hurting people to get what they want.
