I have been making buildups for over five years, it is just when I try to make snare buildups in Logic, I can only go up to 12 cents in pitch, which for me is kind of insulting, especially with the tools that are available to me. This is mostly because I am reliant on automation for buildups. That is why I prefer to make buildups in either FL Studio or Ableton, though I haven’t used FL Studio as my main DAW since January of last year.

Use volume and pitch automation in white noise

Do you Ever automate cutoff filter in your buildups and if so what filter plug-in do you use?
yes and usually just the cutoff filter knob on the synth. if that knob is not available, I will automate a high or low cut on an EQ
