Doesn't have to end. I'm 56 and still race in college meets unattached. I've run in more track meets after age 50 than college and high school combined. Masters track - we have fully sanctioned USATF and IAAF master events and world rankings.
Have you ever done or thinking of doing a vid of what and how to eat before races, what to do if you can't eat because of nerves kicking in etc? Would be quite interesting.
+Marta Majka I have not yet, but that's a great suggestion and something I will be covering in the future for sure. I'll add it to the ever growing list of videos to do. haha :)
Same!! I also have been looking for this for ages. Always nutrition for middle distance runners and distance runners, but sprinters/long sprinter nutrition rarely get covered. I would love a video on this. Can't help when Usain eats KFC before the Olympic final and dominates 🤣
Just finished my last highschool track season last week. PR'ed an 11.39 & 22.8 in the 100 and 200m and took my highschool's records for those events. I did all of the things in this video and implied the tips from your other videos. I'd like to say thanks for everything man and I hope to continue running in college as long as you make more top notch videos!
+Norbin Tiru Right on, congrats man! Those are some solid times. You should absolutely continue running. I'll be making videos of how to improve in the off season as well so stay tuned for those as the track season comes to an end.
My school went to a track and field meet today and I used a skill you talked about in your videos like How to run a faster 300m and 400m. In the 300m dash I ran about the 1st 100m and for the next 100m I relaxed my sholders and uppper body like you said. Suddenly I noticed that I was way ahead of everyone else and I was running faster than ever before. I came in 2nd out of over 4000 people. Thank you so much!
+Dayle Adamson wow great job! Sometimes you actually run faster when you relax and back off on the effort just a touch...its a great skill to learn but tough to master. Keep up the good work and stay tuned for lots more track content!
Thanks for the Vid! Got a Track Meet tomorrow and couldn't stop stressing about it and this video calmed me down and made me focus about winning the race. Keep it up!
Sectionals this week and the nerves are kicking in I'm a senior and I've never metaled at this meet. My coach just told me that I'm ranked 7 in the 100 and I need to be 6 to move on to next week. This video has reminded me to be in the moment and don't change anything. It only a week away and I've never been so nervous because this could be my last hs track meet. I can't stop thinking about this race. I tell all my teammates about your videos they really do help.
right on man good luck! Just let yourself be nervous it will help you focus and apply the other things I talk about in this video and you'll do great! Thanks for sharing my videos I really appreciate it. Lots more coming soon so stay tuned and keep me posted with how it goes!
Hey Jaret! My track season is over sadly and was a bit disappointing, but I want next year (senior year of high school) to be great. I'll be working out up until the season starts. I've seen your lifting video which was definitely helpful, but I'll be lifting and running for almost seven months till I'll be practicing with my team again. I'm wondering if you could make an off season video for me about sprint drills, lifting, plyometrics, form training, and everything like that. I'm looking to be great next season and have a few inexperienced friends who I've convinced to train with me during the offseason. I'll be acting acting as their 'coach' and it seems really daunting. Any leadership you on any lifts or drills is very appreciated. By the way, I'm a 100 and 200 runner. As always, your videos are awesome and I look forward to more.
@rumbled well first of all, I'm no first class D1 athlete or coach but I do have some pretty good knowledge. Make sure to just rest and relax for a couple weeks. Maybe 3-5 weeks of just total relaxation and letting the body rest and recuperate. Then since its probably summer for you, just lift and really try to get strong while minimizing size. The goal in track for sprinters, generally, is to be as strong as possible while being not too big. Be functional. In addition to lifting you can do all types of conditioning. I tell my athletes to take this time to play other sports to still be in shape but having fun with other things. Then towards the end of summer/beginning of school yr do a general/base conditioning phase. Longer distance stuff to make sure you can really start get into running shape. Of course you'll be lifting all the way up to at least December/early January trying to get strong. Come around mid to late November I get my guys on strength endurance and over distance work.
So run like 300s, 400s, and even 500s to really get strong so later in the actual season you can handle the higher intensity workouts. You wanna do these at a lower intensity. Maybe 70-75%. Rest should be like 3-5 mins and sets of like 3 to even 4. So for example if you do 4x400m, run each 400m in maybe like 70-74 secs. That's what I ran cuz I was a horizontal jumper/100/200 guy. Then I'd rest 3-6 minutes and repeat. The goal is consistency here, not a fast time (remember, running fast at this time does not matter. Season hasn't started). Around end of January you'll transition to slightly less distance and bit more intensity. Maybe up to 80%. Come season you'll wanna cut down weightlifting to maybe once a week and your running will be very intense but lots of rest in btwn sets. 90-95% intensity, 5-10 minutes rest. Example of a workout could be 3xflying 150s.. This way your speed will peak around May-June of the season
As far as coaching about weights and exercises etc, that's just gonna be your knowledge that you have and understanding of the exercises in the sport. You can learn a lot from many different people, trying the stuff yourself to see how things work, forums, class, etc. We're blessed with all the resources we have nowadays
+Matt Ha Thanks for the info! So for running, what would some sample workouts for the off season? I don't know any other than just hammering in 100s, 200s, 300s, and maybe 400s. Thanks for your info!
Hey man just following up on the meet this week and I placed so I'm moving on to the championship meet next weekend just happy I made it this far in my last year. Thanks for the wise words and just finished watching your most resent video really enjoyed it.
Hey Jaret. Your videos are amazing and very helpful. With your tips i was able to improve my 100 m time from 12.2 to 11.8. Btw i'm from Germany just wanted to make sure to let you know you have viewers from all over the world. Sorry for my english and greetings from Germany.
+Dominik Bleicher haha right on man, so happy to hear that. That is a legit improvement for a season worth of training as well. Just keep working hard and stay healthy and your time should continue to come down. Greetings from California!
Just a helpful tip: (I'm only trying to help) I think your chest would look better if you got a lot more upper chest mass instead of lower chest mass. It looks like the Lower chest is very dominant. If you got a better upper chest I feel that you would be much closer to recieving your pro card! Which I really hope you do. Also Thankyou for the advice in this video. I am heading to sections this Wednesday and I got a lot of helpful info here
+david C haha right on thanks man I appreciate the feedback...I actually do mostly incline chest movements but unfortunately my upper chest just doesn't like to grow...its getting better but just takes a lot of time. Most of those mens physique athletes who have insane upper chest and physiques are using drugs, and I am not so that makes it pretty difficult for me to get a pro card. And you're welcome! Good luck in your race. Let me know how it goes :)
Jaret Campisi I feel the same way about my upper chest😂 my arms and shoulders are freaking huge but my upper chest just likes looking flat! My dad was the same way. His max bench was only 315lbs in the NFL but he could rep with 60lbs on curls! Funny how genetics work like that
+Japanadianboy I can give you a few quick tips...first stay to the inside of your lane as its a shorter distance but don't run on the line or you can get DQ'd. Keep your steps a little shorter and focus more on turn over rather than big strides which will help you fight against the forces that want to pull you out of your lane since you're running on a curve. Let your body lean naturally and just do what feels right...you shouldn't be making big adjustments when running on a curve other than the ones I noted above. That should hold you over till I can get a video out :)
+Jaret Campisi I got Sports day tommorow and i am doing 200 meters i am very nervous as it is the first time doing 200 all I've ever done is 100 i do it in 10.56 could i have some tips please . I am 12
Great video. I wish I could've had this video 2-3 weeks ago. At my regionals I ran by far my worst time of the season, in fact the worst time I've ever run in high school. I ran over a second above my PR in the 200m. Part of it was just really bad luck, like my hip flexors are extremely tight and have been bothering me all season especially at the end, especially towards the end of a race. And that day I just happened to hurt the worst. I also decided to use blocks, which I never do in the 200m. I worked on them a lot in practice and I was getting the hang of them. I was hoping that would cut a few tenths off and make me run in the mid 22 range, but I guess I was wrong. For some reason it's like I seem to choke during the biggest meets, hopefully next year and especially senior year will be a lot better.
+Isaac Royal sorry to hear that man...its really just a learning process. Have to learn what you need to do in order to get you to run your best. Shake it off and figure out what you need to do in order to run better and just keep working hard.
thanks its helps a lot because sectionals are friday and it helped me know what to do and not to do like stupid stuff or fooling around thanks and helps me a lot also bc I'm a sprinter. i always thought that ur supposed to try ur hardest at the end now i know its different thank u
+ipodforipods Thanks glad you like them! I'll def be doing more in the future and in the meantime you should head over to my channel and check out the "track and field playlist" as I've got a bunch of other great videos on there :)
Hey man great video but I'm not sure if you did a video on how to prepare for your very first track meet... if you did do one can you send me the link if you have not do you mind making a video, thanks
I am in 10th grade and this was my first season running the 400m. From just this outdoor season I went from 62 to 54 seconds. Last year I ran the 800m and the 1600m though. Would 49 seconds my junior year be a possible target to aim for?
Young Prince Didn't do much training over summer and fall, but during indoor I just got back into shape and I'm at 54 again. Ive been working on my 200m time, which sucks lol. 25.03 seconds.
Hey Jaret I have my sectional meet soon and I was wondering what some good warmups would be before doing the 300m hurdle race. Usually I just do some run ups to a hurdle and that's about it
Thanks for the video man! This really helped a lot. During the season, when is it a good time to run 100s & 200s at meets if your main event is the 400m?
Hi Jaret, lately my times for some sprints have been getting slower. I'm a freshman and this is my first year in track. My 100m time went from a 12.4 to a 12.9, as my 200m time went from a 25.1 to a 26.2! Idk what's going on but it's really pissing me off. I've been doing lots of track workouts, but i feel like my sprints aren't improving much. It seems like only my 400m time is improving (57.4 PR), while my short distance isn't really going anywhere
+BlobEpic I've heard of others having this issue and its usually one of a few things. Either you're over training (working out too hard on a consistent basis and not allowing enough recovery time for your body) or you're not training correctly...without knowing what you're doing its tough for me to say
Hello Jaret, last Saturday was regionals (state-qualifying) meet. there was no chance for me to qualify. I was in heat 2 of 400m and I false started; made me sad and angry because I knew I could run under a minute. All the time of training wasted. But coach made an exception and put me in 200m because there was an open lane. I got a new PB BY a whole second off. Anyways, I want to get faster. Do you know any pre season 400m training? Track is already over for me. And I already feel slow and fat lol Thanks
Hey I'm a 300m hurdler and I wanna know if you think cross country would be a good thing for me to do I know this is just a small question for you but if you could reply with an answer that would be awesome haha I watch all your videos and from that this track season I took my time from a 52 flat to 45 flat in the 300 hurdles thank you so much!
Right on man! So happy to hear that. 👏. Cross country is a tough one. If you make sure be coach knows you're only doing it for off season training and maybe do shorter workouts and have extra rest days it could be ok. I think you'd be better served lifting and getting stronger and doing some light distance workouts 2 times a week. I will be talking about off season training shortly.
Hello! I am a freshman in High School. My twin sister and I have experience in cheerleading/tumbling, so we are quite flexible. We had done 100m hurdles a bit in ms, but we drifted a bit to pole vault. About mid-season this year, our coach asked anyone if they were interested in 300m low-hurdles. We signed up and our first time we ran them I got 53 and she got at 52. We are now the two best from our school. After half of our team got cut, we made it to the extended season. We are now running against girls with 48-51's. Any advice for beginners? I know you have a vid on this event but I was wondering what you mean about the mental portion? Also, crucial things I need to work on and get sorted asap?
I am in a situation where I only have 1 strength and training day to offer T&F high school athletes and sometimes it lands on a day before a local meet. It is in the early part of the season so results don't matter as much now as I want them to build and peak in 10 weeks. What sort of extra routine would you suggest or not? Thanks and Go BigTen.
Thx for video Friday is sectionals for me wish me luck in the hurdles I have a question I play soccer one hour a day should I cut back on it for the meet because my best 300 inter and 110 I was sore from soccer is it a good warm up or not
+Soccer skills Rex Good luck! I wouldn't play any soccer within a few days of the meet. As for warming up, I'd suggest a proper track and field warm up, which you can find on my page under the track and field playlist.
+ismael rocha I actually do yes...some others were asking so i might put together a little video of some of my best races in the future. I didn't really want this channel to be about me but rather sharing what I've learned over my many years of running and coaching to help you guys run your best :)
Had my regional meet on Friday and ran a PR of 40.45 with no competition in the 300m hurdles. Unfortunately I missed the state qualifying time(40.14). I'm thinking of trying to break the school record(40.20) in my last meet which I should have at least 1 runner near my time. I have 9 days before that meet, should I keep the low rep workouts going until then or do a couple harder workouts then back down again?
Thanks man! I have a State Meet on Monday and I am pretty nervous. I am in 6th grade and I am running the 50m dash. My time is a 7.33 and when I compare my 50m dash to the results from the state meet from a year before, I found out that I am about half a second faster than the last year's champion. This is good, but I am still very nervous. I also want to do the 100m dash next year. My time is a 13.61 and I want to know if there is anyway I can try to lower the time. Thanks!
+Roland Ladd right on man, use those nerves to your advantage like I mentioned in the video and just focus on doing your best. As for lowering your times, you should head over to my channel and check out my "track and field playlist." I've got a ton of videos on how to run faster in each of the different events, lifting workouts for track, running technique etc. So those will def help ya out.
+Jaret Campisi ok so I did really bad. I ran 12:94 with was pretty slow for but I was kinda sick cause I threw up earlier so I didn't qualify. For the 200m I finished 7th in qualifying with 26:20 so that was bad but I'm going to train hard in the off season. Btw I'm 13
+Samuel Opoku no worries man. You're still young so you got plenty of time. I'm gonna get a video up of what you should be doing in the off season in a day or two so stay tuned.
+Ezra Ho for sure, any of the sprint spikes will work...just google it or head into your local shoe store that carries spikes and tell them what events you do :)
Hey man, I started track last season (2015) and I ran 11.83. This year I just ran 11.28 on the weekend. I'm super motivated and I feel I have more to give. Do I train more and do less comps or do as many comps as possible. I want 10.9 that's been a goal since I started track, also In 2014 I ran 12.7 so I guess you could say my growth has been kinda good. Thanks bro
+Jack Davies If you're part of a track team then you should just be doing the training that the coach is giving you...its really tough for me to answer that question without any context. What time of the season are you in, what type of training have you been doing, how many months have you been training, what races are wanting to peak for and it goes on and on...I am going to be covering track and field training more in depth this summer as we are in the offseason since a lot of people have been asking me about this, so stay tuned!
+Nicholas Demers honestly, I don't have the experience to do those races justice...my expertise is really in the sprints/hurdles and jumps so I'll have to leave that to someone else unfortunately.
I have a track meet in 2 weeks. I normally run 100 and 200 and I'm really used to using my short distance spikes for that. This year I'm going to run a 400m, do you think I can use the same spikes as I use for 100 and 200?
Jaret. Excellent Video once again. You have great advice. Only a few weeks to go to 19th September so Im nervous for Phoenix. He blitzed everyone at Regionals but now this is big. We been doing two days on field doing drills and technique and one day in the gym. You need more bikini videos so we can stay calm haha :) Also I will make sure I put away his skateboard Thanks again! Appreciate your replies and time.
Thanks for your video on the 200meter dash it helped me a lot and paired with a lot of hard work....in the highest level event I as an 8th grader can compete in (league) I was able to break a 37 year old (8th grade) school record and get 1st place with second place 2.2 seconds behind me ......The video is on my channel if you want to watch.
Does anyone know of any track leagues that are for 20 to 29 year olds? I'm in a under funded track club at my college we run like 4 meets i need meets or training so i can walk on to my college team
i'd recommend going to a running store and having them check your gate/running stride and see if something is up with how you land etc. Might need different shoes, or padding or need to adjust your stride a bit. Try to stay on soft surfaces as much as you can as well and don't use spikes unless absolutely needed.
+Gollum Mon haha thanks buddy. I ran on a scholarship for penn state and was a world class hurdler my best event was the 400 hurdles at 49 sec. Just focus on running your best times and enjoy yourself. Happy to give back to a sport that gave me so much. 👍
i'm 14 in middle school i run the 400, my best time is 58.50 and i run 100 meters 12.60 my 200 in 26.20. I usually run my last 100 in 16+ and i'ts stopping me from having better times. what should i work on.
+flavio testori you need more base work in the early season so you can finish stronger in the 400. Head over to my channel and watch my different videos in my track and field playlist. It will help you understand the sport better and give you an idea of the things you need to do in order to get better in all aspects, speed, power, strength, endurance etc.
+hw0305 nah I've never used stuff like that...I'm more of a purist and enjoy the old school approach of just listening and paying attention to your body :)
Regionals tomorrow for me I'm in the 200 and 400....I'm scared not for the 400's but those 200's last year watching them it was like watching big huge beasts out there running and my 200 time is like a 24 at best. Besides that I'm in the 400 in that I run a 56 or 55 which is a huge improvement from last year cause last year I ran an awful 106.1 seconds in the 400......😬😬😬😬 this year I I'm confident though.
today is my day cause im going to run 1500 meter dash if i win this my collage will take me to australia and we will have a world race their im gona race against big names
Lol I'm a 110m hurdler and I 5 step every race until East Bay Athletic League Trials and Finals in which I 3 stepped the whole race for the first time. I beat my PR by more than a second
Doesn't have to end. I'm 56 and still race in college meets unattached. I've run in more track meets after age 50 than college and high school combined. Masters track - we have fully sanctioned USATF and IAAF master events and world rankings.
I agree. I have a National championship race this weekend actually! 50m 60m 200m 400m.
What's your age and 200m 400m time
shocks clan boi
That's what I wanted to tell him, William (USATF Masters). It amazes me of what people don't know.

Can you do a video on how to run the first leg of a 4x100? I am not entirely sure on the technique that should be used when sprinting on curves.
Absolutely I can def do that for you in the future. I might even go over hand offs and stuff as well.
Jaret Campisi I would prefer to see this video in the near future since I am a senior in highschool and my track and field career ends on June 3
Jaret Campisi Thanks for the advice!
+Jaret Campisi I got Sports day tommorow and i am doing 200 meters i am very nervous as it is the first time doing 200 all I've ever done is 100 i do it in 10.56 could i have some tips please . I am 12
I've been running track and field for 3 years and this year is my 4th year and I am excited to run! 😊
Another great video! Thanks, I've got my largest meet I've ever been to in two days, this video is helping me so far! Appreciate all the effort
as long as i dont get last its fine. like my goal is to be second last
Can you maybe do a video on off season training or give any tips? thanks
thanks its helps a lot because sectionals are friday and it helped me know what to do and not to do like stupid stuff or fooling around thanks and helps me a lot also bc I'm a sprinter. i always thought that ur supposed to try ur hardest at the end now i know its different thank u
Nice video it was truly helpful, you should make a video on how to approach getting scholarship as an athletic coming out of high school.
Make more track videos I love them!!
Can u do a video showing how to warm up for a race. Seems like a fundamental thing but I actually don't know
already have and you're not alone...this will get you on the right track.th-cam.com/video/tR-LcAnbp14/w-d-xo.html
Wow just in time! I have a big meet tomorrow (doing the 400).
+Cameron Schwartz good luck! Use these tips and you'll do great :)
Thank you! I have my state meet today and this really helped.
+Sophia Gulotti you're welcome and good luck!
Nice Vid Man :) Love the little tips here. Defo sticking a few in my book ;)
Getting back close to the spring JC🔥😃😃
thank god...I can't handle this weather any longer lol
I am in 10th grade and this was my first season running the 400m. From just this outdoor season I went from 62 to 54 seconds. Last year I ran the 800m and the 1600m though. Would 49 seconds my junior year be a possible target to aim for?
+Ryan Galiczynski hell yeah
Ryan Galiczynski what are you running now
Young Prince Didn't do much training over summer and fall, but during indoor I just got back into shape and I'm at 54 again. Ive been working on my 200m time, which sucks lol. 25.03 seconds.
This outdoor I'm pushing 52 and next year going to push that 50 seconds.
Ryan Galiczynski how you doing now ??
Your vids are amazing and very helpful keep up the good work thanks
Hey Jaret I have my sectional meet soon and I was wondering what some good warmups would be before doing the 300m hurdle race. Usually I just do some run ups to a hurdle and that's about it
Another great video thanks!
Thanks for the video man! This really helped a lot.
During the season, when is it a good time to run 100s & 200s at meets if your main event is the 400m?
Jaret ...you the Best!!
+Mohaymin Elamri trying to be like you :)
Good infos bro , I'm gonna participate in a relay race next month so, tell me if you know how to train to the relay races , it'll be really helpful ,
Hi Jaret, lately my times for some sprints have been getting slower.
Thank you so much. I totally relate to what you said in the end.
+Mao Zedong thanks glad you enjoyed it :)
im a jumper, but still watch all ur vids coz they are all top notch! keep it up!
+Joey Ryu thanks man, I do plan on making some jumping videos in the future as well so stay tuned!
More vids of the Gixxer! That bike is too nice
I have a 300 and 100m hurdles race today. I have only practiced once😶
Helps alot !!! I have district on Thursday 4/12/2018
Bro what about the mile
Hasan Muhammad 1500m.....
Do you have any videos of yourself when you ran track for Penn State or high school?
Thanks!
Got nationals tomorrow
Love your videos
+Max Dolbinin thanks buddy, I love making them for you guys as well. Lots more coming so stay tuned!
+Jaret Campisi I dropped 3 seconds in my 400 watchingyour videos!
+Max Dolbinin that's amazing! Love to hear that :) Keep up the good work and lots more videos coming :)
thanks jaret! :)
I’m doing a 5000 and a 10,000 what would you say is the best way to get Motivated on the track runnning that many how to run those laps right
Thanks bro. On Sunday I have a huge meet. I am ranked 10th and the top 8 need to qualify to make to to the archdiocese finals. Wish me luck
+Samuel Opoku Right on, good luck man! Let me know how it goes :)
Samuel Jones nice I'm 13 i run the mile 800m 400m 200m
Thanks, I will
Hi, what is the most suitable spike shoes for a person who does 110mH and 400mH? Thanks :))
+Ezra Ho for sure, any of the sprint spikes will work...just google it or head into your local shoe store that carries spikes and tell them what events you do :)
Hi, one more question. Is the Puma Evospeed V3 suitable for hurdles? Thank you!
+Jaret Campisi can I message you on yt?
+Jack Davies email is best jaretcampisi@gmail.com
+Jaret Campisi thanks bro
Could you do a video about 5000m and 10000m race?
+Nicholas Demers honestly, I don't have the experience to do those races justice...my expertise is really in the sprints/hurdles and jumps so I'll have to leave that to someone else unfortunately.
+Jaret Campisi no problem
+Nicholas Demers i woukd try cycling to cross train, it worked for me in cross country
I have a track meet in 2 weeks. I normally run 100 and 200 and I'm really used to using my short distance spikes for that. This year I'm going to run a 400m, do you think I can use the same spikes as I use for 100 and 200?
Prank central yes what's your 200m time
Jaret.
Excellent Video once again. You have great advice. Only a few weeks to go to 19th September so Im nervous for Phoenix. He blitzed everyone at Regionals but now this is big.
We been doing two days on field doing drills and technique and one day in the gym.
You need more bikini videos so we can stay calm haha :)
Also I will make sure I put away his skateboard
Thanks again! Appreciate your replies and time.
haha more bikini vids for sure! And sounds good buddy, good luck and keep me posted on how it goes!
Do you recommend pre-workout supplement before your races ?
I don't think they are needed no
Really cool, not going to race but I like to learn about demographics
is smart for a coach to have you run 3 200 and 2 100 fast 2 days before your region meet
3:10 😂😂😂
NEWS FLASH: If you're 35 and older, you can still compete in the USATF masters across the United States and abroad.
Check it out!
+Jeremiah Meade wow nice job man! love to hear that :) Keep up the good work and stay tuned for more videos!
Does anyone know of any track leagues that are for 20 to 29 year olds? I'm in a under funded track club at my college we run like 4 meets i need meets or training so i can walk on to my college team
Thanks! I have a meet in 45min.
+Ethan Barrett you're welcome and good luck!
How do you get rid of shin splints on the inside of your leg, I can never seem to get them to just go away. They heal then I run and then their back ?
rest is the best way to let them recover...
+Jaret Campisi I have but they always come back 🙄🙄🙄
i'd recommend going to a running store and having them check your gate/running stride and see if something is up with how you land etc. Might need different shoes, or padding or need to adjust your stride a bit. Try to stay on soft surfaces as much as you can as well and don't use spikes unless absolutely needed.
+Jaret Campisi yeah I wear nikes should I switch to Asics?
yeah I would. Try the asic gel kayono. They are expensive but very stable and supportive.
I'm 13 so what time should I have for 100m
What is your 400m Pr if you don't mind me asking real quick?
+Gollum Mon Open 400 I ran 46.6, had some 45 splits on the relay's
Amazing that is really good. Man I run a 400 but not nearly as fast.
+Gollum Mon haha thanks buddy. I ran on a scholarship for penn state and was a world class hurdler my best event was the 400 hurdles at 49 sec. Just focus on running your best times and enjoy yourself. Happy to give back to a sport that gave me so much. 👍
District meet today
i'm 14 in middle school i run the 400, my best time is 58.50 and i run 100 meters 12.60 my 200 in 26.20. I usually run my last 100 in 16+ and i'ts stopping me from having better times. what should i work on.
+flavio testori you need more base work in the early season so you can finish stronger in the 400. Head over to my channel and watch my different videos in my track and field playlist. It will help you understand the sport better and give you an idea of the things you need to do in order to get better in all aspects, speed, power, strength, endurance etc.
flavio testori im 13 and run 58
How fast can you run the 100m?
About a 10.6 he said
But he specializes in 400m hurdles
hey
how to train for a 600m
So Me run 800m
Do you have a heart rate monitor? Want to know your heart rate of your runs
+hw0305 nah I've never used stuff like that...I'm more of a purist and enjoy the old school approach of just listening and paying attention to your body :)
A goos tip to remember is to always take a huge shit before your big race. It speeds you up by 10%
hahahahaha excellent advice
guys check out my hurdel fail video on how it went sectionals
Regionals tomorrow for me I'm in the 200 and 400....I'm scared not for the 400's but those 200's last year watching them it was like watching big huge beasts out there running and my 200 time is like a 24 at best. Besides that I'm in the 400 in that I run a 56 or 55 which is a huge improvement from last year cause last year I ran an awful 106.1 seconds in the 400......😬😬😬😬 this year I I'm confident though.
+TheKingofKings2272 very nice improvement there and good luck in your races!
Damn I'm 13 i run 58
today is my day cause im going to run 1500 meter dash if i win this my collage will take me to australia and we will have a world race their im gona race against big names
good luck buddy!
He's right about the skateboarding thing :/
Championship season
athlete x vs jaret campisi 100m, who agrees😂😂
✌🏿🤘🏿
H
Lol I'm a 110m hurdler and I 5 step every race until East Bay Athletic League Trials and Finals in which I 3 stepped the whole race for the first time. I beat my PR by more than a second
+CJ Cunanan haha right on man, thats amazing! Keep up the good work and stay tuned for more videos!
