Nice to finally see a Fosi Audio product! I've been using their K2 desktop DAC/Amp for years and it's been great! The physical bass and treble knobs allow it to adapt to all kinds of headphones and usage scenarios (gaming, music, chat, etc.).
I have one coming in the mail towards the end of the month. Sad to hear about the "thinner" presentation. It'll be my first experience with balanced output. Great video Dave!
Can you make a video on sub 50 dolars DAC/Dongles? i'm from Brazil and we have insane taxes for imports higher than $50 (basically they double the price in taxes). I have a lot of Chi-fis but i'm struggling to run them on the cheap ones.... Thanks in advance
The 7Hz Seventy One AKM DAC is very good for around 30 USD. It's also extremely portable despite having more than double the output power of something like the Apple Dongle DAC.
I bought and returned the DS2 in March of last year due to the high noise floor. Fosi must have sent out a bunch of review units recently, probably trying to clear stock.
@@Sforzabull Yep. Because of the shortcomings of the original DS2 I went with the ibasso dc o4 pro ($93 on sale a year ago) and am glad I did. I use it from my laptop>amp via a 15ft 3.5mm to RCA cord. I also use it w/phone into IEM's and I use it to feed my car stereo via the phone.
Just found your channel this morning, I'm learning a lot so far. Are Shure SE215 IEMs any good? How bad are triple flange ear tips? That's what I'm rocking right now and I've wondered if it's time to upgrade. I play bass and sometimes it's hard to hear if I'm playing really low.

Sedangkan sekrang ada versi baru yang menggunakan CS43131,, tapi itu belum ada yang menjualnya di Indonesia. Saya berharap versi CS43131 bisa hadir di Indonesia.
@@egogamesmaiker4028 true. Just bought the Akliam PD4+ for $39. Very good value. Replacing the Dawn Pro because it's too detailed and sometimes a bit bright for me
I own dawn pros and they developed imbalance so fair warning. it drived me crazy i thought my ears were fucked, i even bought new headphones thinking my iems were the problem😂

Be happy with what you have and not what you could've had. The Down is still a Good Dongle, especially for the Price.

In my opinion a dac/amp shouldn't color the sound at all anyways. I think your headphones should do all the work but again that's just my opinion.
