Man that's a bummer about the arm Vas. I do hope it was a fluke 🤔. Just hammered on mine again today and still no breakages🤞. Bought some extra arms though just in case. I'm so glad I watched this. I had the car in my cart to buy and saw the back arm break. That is amazing that something actually broke on an Arrma! Guess I'm going 6S Kraton!

Thanks for the awesome and honest upload Vas! My Kraton 4S broke both front arms while running on 3S before the Low Voltage Cut-off of the first pack. Yours looked nearly indestructible compared to mine haha

My Son is about the same age as yours, we were out with the 3s BLX Senton and the ZD Racing SCT this weekend, he's not to bad on the controls, just can't work out how to stop whens he's hurtling towards his Dad at full throttle haha.... both ankles still intact! Nice run, really want to get my hands on a 4s Outcast!....but got a few weeks to wait still

Vass ,you wouldn't read about it but after i bought spare arms today at Metro i drove my 4s outcast and cartwheeled it at least 20 times . Busted the front arm . Glad you showed us this video mate , didnt think id break this truck. Fixed in 5 minutes and fun again. Better stockup on parts, these trucks are great fun. Now we want the Mojave , its a beautiful truck. P

What you were saying about the battery I totally agree you know a good example of that is theVkar bison !!! And I am just starting battery power it came with 3s 🔋 & The car was almost undrivable and uncontrollable... but you slap a 2s 🔋 in it is incredible the difference it’s a different car!!! and all of its weakness in the front hinge pins I bet it is 70% less likely that your break one of-those hinge pins !!!

Sweet running Vas! Looks like a blast to drive! Badlands 3.8's would probably totally transform the handling! I got in a pretty good bash with the Outcast 4s this week. No breaks!!! Took a pounding too! The arms seem to have a certain weak spot in them and probably have to be hit just right.🤔 Otherwise they hold up pretty well! Great rip and vid bro!!😎👊💪✌✌🍻

Great video. It took a long while giving it good air before you had a hard, awkward landing. Other than the low grip tires the Kraton seems to be a top performer. I don't understand ARRMA's tire choice though seeing as they weren't popular on the 6s.

love the way you drive your cars and giving it an honest opinion arrma is a awesome brand. it's good that you point out that there's some weak points on the car yet it is a good car that can be upgraded , the composite on that plastic rear and front A-arm should be filled on that open space like the mt410 and spray with WD40 for more durability. ARRMA RC are still awesome an Brand.

Great review again Vass, was getting a used Traxxas slash ultimate just to see why they're so popular but the guy did something shifty and ebay refunded the money. Got home today and my wife ordered me a 4s outcast. I love it ,same colour as my old 77 chrysler regal se. Looks like it goes the same to. Daughter is coming over tomorrow and she loves driving these Arrmas, would've been funny if Noah rode the little bike. He drives rc cars better than me, thats why i need more Arrmas ,cant break them . I kill the Hsps but theyre cheap and easy to repair. Cant wait to bash these beasts this weekend.

A arm breakage is becoming a common issue on the 4s at the hinge pin. RC Dude broke 2 on the Outcast 1st time out. Try the 4s OC tires or Badlands and the handleing on 4s should be so much better. Both new models perform great on 3s, but its the sweet spot on the Outcast to tame it and make it more controlled and enjoyable to drive. Enjoyed your vid and look forward to a tire swap.
broke mine first five minutes of owning it...lol popped it back in and it popped right back out within five.....the a-arm is very weak!

Yep, my Outcast 4s is sitting right now too. Front arm split at the hinge pin and not a replacement anywhere I can find. Arrma is really dropping the ball on this issue,,,aruggg

The outcast 4s tyres definitely seem to hook up alot better , could be a popular swap for folks that want better grip along with the extra stability of the longer kraton chassis.
Have you got adequate adjustment to add a bit of toe in at the front and toe out at the rear to combat the understeer a bit ?
This truck hauls on 3s. I'm gonna get one. It'll be my first Arrma.
I find it funny that people would say you don’t show the breakages, I have definitely seen you blow things up, usually accompanied by laughter, sometimes frustration. All part of the hobby, these aren’t slot cars after all.
Nice video Vas, it a real beast on 4s, I have order spare arm for my Outcast 4s and Kraton 4s but RPM will certainly have arm in couple month :)
samintrepid I sure hope so. I did contact RPM and there aware of the 4's lineup problems with junk arms.
Bought my gf one for her birthday a couple weeks ago! First thing and only breakage was an a arm swapped to rpm fixed

Have you had any issues with the driveshafts? Mine have come out 3 times on my 4s outcast right at the wheels. I've only ran it twice.
I wonder if on 3s you could up the pinion enough to match what you get out of it at 4s stock? Might be a option for people who only own 3s packs but don't wanna have to get a new lipo

They look a bit flighty on hard loose stuff tho
Interesting how the 4s version handles, the low unsprung weight of the aluminum chassis of the 6s version definitely makes it more stable out of the box.
Im sure with a little bit of shock and spring tuning this can be eliminated.

Would be nice if they figured out a center diff for that thing. Would really help it stay planted and steering. It was a night and day difference on my stampede 4x4. I have seen a few reports of busted arms for the 4S trucks on the arrma forum.

Peter Ronzoni I also broke both front A arms on mine before the first pack that I ran through it. The worst part was I was running the car underpowered on 3s. I don't understand how Vas's held up as long as they did? It would have been a short video if it were my A arms lol
Well, you're convincing me about these although it being so quiet makes it a real winner for me. That's my biggest dislike of any rc cars/trucks is how noisy are they? There's no Granite 4s version?

Well looks like this video isn't being shown on arrma's facebook lol. I've been skeptical of these tires since launch because they have more of a grip than a dig style and the 6s has the weight to keep that tread doing what it's supposed to:gripping. The Fortress tires are meant to dig and they hold up really well on my senton, and pretty sure the granite does too, and the 4x4 Typhon has some pretty diggy tires. I just ordered some Speedtreads Vindicators and a Proline monster SCT body so I'll let you know how those tires hold up for the cheap price

I love Arrma everything but I'm hearing about these arms breaking somewhat regularly. Of course it doesn't bother me as arms are easy and cheap vs diff case, shock towers, chassis, etc. Doesn't deter me but I'll admit I'm pretty much a fanboy. 💘😍 lol
A cheap arm replacement is a bummer but it keeps the damage from sinking further into more expensive parts. There's nothing like video proof to get a manufacturer working on an update or fix. 🤞👍👍

Btw the tires are more meant for grass and asphalt, just to answer it question about the tires being not very grippy in the dirt.👍👍

Hmm..... 4s was really impressive untill that arm broke. Yes you gave it a hard time, but I have seen a couple people break the arms in that spot. Interesting 🤔 Probably finding the limit on these cars. 3s looked good. May just stick with my 3s and 6s Arrma's. Good video as always 😀

The tires on the 6s were pretty terrible so I'm sure they are just as bad on the 4s Kraton. I do t know why they went with them considering they ditched them on the V4 6s Kraton. I would have liked to have seen smaller Copperhead 2's. Did you happen to check temps? I'm just curious if it runs hot. Great video as always, Vas

I am struggling to watch vids that are this long these days....partly I get board, partly time poor....that’s a general comment re TH-cam vid, not specific to your channel, but if they were 15min shorter for the bash vids it would personally suit me better but I’m only one person. Hey Vas I finally found one tonight on eBay and just ordered it.....My only concerns are seeing you break an arm and now others on TH-cam too, do you think it might be a Design Fault?
Also I know you don’t like the Spectrum radios they now come with...Could you recommended a good replacement radio system at a reasonable price please.....
I ordered also tonight a new Talion 6S and have a Notorious 6S which I would love too be able too run all off 1 decent radio system.

As for a radio, I use both the Futaba 3PV and the Spektrum DX5C. Both are great, so you just need to choose which you prefer and go with that.

@@AussieRCPlayground sweet! I just got mine and I use the stock settings and radio, but I feel some sort of "delay" im not sure if its the radio or something els, or maby just how it is.
The stock ESC has always had a bit of "lag" or delay when you punch the throttle. Some of this is caused by the radio and some by the ESC itself. Bringing up the punch will minimize the issue, but it won't fix it entirely, you'll need a new ESC for that. It's as if the stock ESC has this "lag" as part of the programing and it's not something you can switch off or tune out completely.
