Last fall I was running my Slash 4x4 & my neighbors son came outside & was watching me. He asked if he could drive it (the rest of this happened in less than a minute & was all MY fault), I said yeah & started in on telling him to be careful, that he saw how fast it was blah blah blah as I handed the radio over to him. Before I could take a second & set ESC to half power, he had the radio & his dad came out walking the dog & talking to me...Distracted for just a few seconds I realize I hear the car wide open & as I turned my head towards the car I see & hear @ the same time it slam pinned right under the front wheel of his dads truck. UGH!!!
Cracked chasis, steering servo & a couple other things. Lesson learned. He was really apologetic & I told him not to worry, that's what it's all about. Drive em, break em, fix em, break em again. 100% my fault & no reason to be upset at the boy.

I remember being their age in the early 90s and seeing a traxxas hawk 2. It was one of the most spectacular things I have ever seen to this date. I remember being speechless at how big and fast it was. In actuality, it wasn't that big or fast but to my little 8 year old brain it was marvelous lol. I've been addicted to rc's ever since. I have no doubt you created a life long rc hobbiest on this day. You should be proud 👊😊

Great video Vas! i love watching the reaction of kids when i bring my RC's to the bmx park. They are so amazed and always ask if they can try. I feel bad offcourse telling them no but these machines can be dangerous and potentially hurt simeone pretty badly. Nice backflip btw smooth as butter indeed! Cheers

Some nice driving there mate, just got a v4 kraton BLS but not been anywhere to jump it yet, standard radio seems poor with big delay and quite unresponsive so something I’d like to change, love it apart from that 👍

SWEET air action with the little ripper Vas!!💪The kids were getting a charge out of it!😂Some super smooth transitions and that drain is death to a rc car waiting to happen!😳😜Everytime you get close I cringe! LOL Sucks on the break! Yeah when buggies get sideways in the air not much you can do! Not a bad break at all though! ARRMA tough!! I had my Truckified Typhon out for some orbit a few days ago trying out the Duratrax Lockups. Buggy bashing is so much fun! Great vid brother Vas!
Thanks Eric. I'm sure that drain will claim one of my cars at some point. LOL. It was fun having the kids around, they were pretty well behaved and they cheered on the cars as they jumped, so I didn't mind having them around. 😊

I had a 20t in 3S typhon, it kept on overheating so downgraded to 18t let’s see how that goes. It doesn’t help that Texas temp right now is 100+
So the this will backflip with proline 1/8 buggy Badland tires? I know it won't really do it with the stock tires. Also with a 15T pinion. Does having a higher tooth pinion does that allow it to rotate better in the air?

Thanks heaps Rich. Yeah, had a couple of really nice landings but that one that got out of shape just couldn't be saved. Funny how the metal link broke and not the plastic bits around it. Haha. These cars are incredibly tough and awesome to drive.

My vendetta has the same problem wow thanks I have typhon s 3 like your been running for December no problem I don't jump nor bash it one minor role when had it set on high punch but since I been doing med punch not and issue

My old Baja 5b would break just looking at it back in the day, not to mention it was loud as hell. The Typhon is the Tesla of RC cars.
I had a few spectators today while I was running my ERBEv2 at the skate park. Parents with their 5yr old (guessing) daughter who was on a scooter/blade thing. She would let out a squeal every time she saw me jump it. Back when I used to run nitro more frequently, I could have been in the most distant corner of a park or abandoned development area and sure enough, kids would hear it running and show up out of nowhere. Electric is quieter, but they still see it flying through the air and scamper over. I was/am always terrified when running nitro with kids around. Have something go wrong and get a runaway screaming nitro that plows into a kid. Would not be a good day. They just get closer and closer and you have to keep driving somewhere away from them.
Mine has ic5 plug....any recommendations on good priced 3s lipos? Im guessing it would use xt90?
Hey man, love the content you put out! I do have a question and I know this video is old so not sure of you will see this, but I just got a Typhon 3s a few weeks ago. I put a 20t pinion on out of the box and it was doing great but now I just put some badlands on it and now I'm having temp. issues. Did you have any temperature cutouts?

Great air control!! I'm torn between this buggy and new Rival MT10..... Where I most drive-terrain and locations, 99.9% bashing--I do hit local tracks sometimes to bash on track environments, LOL I'm leaning towards the Rival MT10, but absolutely not a track worthy rc....

Did you have any overheating issues running your typhon 3s with the 20tooth pinion on 2 or 3s lipo ? Im asking because I just got my 20 tooth pinion in today and I'm reluctant to use it if its going to overheat my electronics. I do not run my cars on grass mostly loose dirt and pavement. Thanks in advance!

Go with the 4S version if you're on a budget, it's still a beast of a car and very capable. You won't regret it. 😉

I put larger tires on my 3s and changed out the factory plastic gears for metal. She runs far better now. And the larger tires make a world of difference for this car. Those little ones they put on it were just to small for real fun

The kids are awesome in this I think the 3s is better than the 6s that power is ridiculous
So I bought the Armma Typhoon 3s as well and I'm having a small issue and really need help on how to solve it. So when I turn my controller on and then the car, the front wheels immediately turn right. When I turn the wheels with the car off I find that they turn normally left and right without any resistance. However when on the wheels resist turning left even if I try using the controller. Can someone please help me figure out whats wrong with this awesome car? And really like the videos btw. Made me buy my first rc
Have you checked the steering trim is centred? If it is, then just remove the servo horn, then turn on the car and the servo will centre. Reattach the servo horn with the wheels straight and you should be able to turn left and right normally.
