Thank you so much for this video. First time boat owner just trying to get the basics down and not get myself or someone else or hurt or just not make a fool out of myself. Well, still trying to bet the basics after two summers. The was very well explained, too the point and just enough information not to get me befuddled in extra details. Just the basics! Thanks again for taking the time and extending the encouragement.
Hey Steve Merry Christmas to you and all the other bass fishing life subscribers! A very good friend of mine taught me a trick that could save your life with the manual boat trim on your engine. If you ever fall overboard and you don't have a ladder you can hold on to the engine and press the button and pull yourself out of the water!
Great videos. Im a new boater with a 1996 21' xpress bass boat. It came with a pro max 150 on it and would run 80+ mph. Now it has a 2001 200 optimax and a cant get it to even go 50mph. I have a 24 pitch 4 blade Quicksilver trophy prop that was recommended by the Mercury dealer. Any idea why its running so slow. I was thinking the prop is not in the correct location with the hull but cant find a good video on where that loction is. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Wow. That's quite a difference. The first thing that comes to mind is the location like you said. It seems like it is not getting enough bite in the water. Have you had a different dealer take a look at how it is rigged - as far as it's positioning in relationship to the bottom of the boat? I might try and call Xpress too and try to talk to someone at the factory that rigs the boats.

Nice explanation. One of the best I have seen on proper outboard trimming. Keep the tips coming! 👍
Thank you!
