I don't know how Avalons are so under the radar. They're such a good car, they're known to go for 300K, even longer if taken care of properly. Even the older Avalons are really nice, but the 2005-2012s are I think my favorite.

The blank switch is reserved for a glass breakage sensor. Dealer Accessory. I had a 2007 just like this one. Heated steering wheels were not available on the Avalon of this generation 2005-2012. If you find one from 2005-2007, it will have real wood from the Lexus counterpart on both the steering wheel and the shift knob. I don't have my 07 anymore, but I'm keeping an eye out out for the right Avalon in the future. Possibly a 2017 limited. Great cars, got me hooked on Toyota reliability.

I have had a 2011 Avalon for almost 4 years now. Fantastic car. Only 2 issues. The rear window screen is a disaster. Everyone who has had one, has had issues with it. Secondly the driver's side door handle grip (that handle above the door) snapped off one time when I used it. Not sure why, since I only weigh 165 pounds or so, Paid $7k in November/2020 with about 115k, now have close to 140K, and just changes the oil regularly , the brakes last year, and put 4 new tires on it within the last 4 months. Like I said, great and reliable.

The seats declined in comfort with ventilated seats. I have to disagree the GS, ES and Avalon from 2004 and prior seats are very supportive while being very soft - which greatly helps reduce vibrations to the body. I got a 2014 ES350 few weeks ago, and didn't realize how much of an ergonomic distaster the front seats are... There's a divot giving no upper midback support, so after 3 hours i was in severe pain and now I'm having muscle spasms and have to see a doctor - driving about of our older cars is such a relief, but very disappointed in the newer Toyota seats that I might just have to go with a less reliable brand. Best seats of any car, about 2000 Volvo S80, drive 15 hours straight and first time we don't feel tied at all. These seats might continue thru 2016, but they were changed a bit and I haven't driven in the newer ones 15 hours+.

I thought the front seats were comfortable. They may not be as cushioned as other luxury type cars but the fit the body well, which is most important for long drives. the sun screen motor also was not grinding for me, or when it was sold. Though I do know this, everyone has different experiences with cars and different things need repairing at different times.

    " Only $ 9995.00 with 107,000 miles ?
Well let's see what kind of maintenance will have to be done if it hasn't with that many miles on it.
First, replace the electrical fuel pump and it's filter/s which cost around $800.00 on the low end at a shop.
Second, the water pump will need to be replaced because after 100,000 miles your living on time before it fails.
Price to replace varies but probably about $ 800.00
Third : the coolant, thermostat and radiator hoses again several hundred dollars.
Transmission fluid and filter if applicable change, around $ 100.00
Fourth : Serpentine belt replacement, around $100.00
Has the battery been replaced ? in no, another $100.00 plus to replace
How about the tires ? if little tread is left you'll soon have to fork over $ 400.00 if your lucky for cheap tires but more like $ 7-8 hundred.
Add up the cost and tack it on the so called bargain and suddenly it's not so cheap anymore.

You are absolutely correct, used vehicles, and vehicles in general, need to be maintained! There will be a cost of ownership with every vehicle you buy.
