I am so glad that you are finding your maintenance journey. That’s really spot on to keep your weight consistent along with finding the right mix of exercise, food, meds, and attitude. Can you tell the difference between the brand 5 and the compounded 5? How was the process of administering the needle and vial versus the pen? Lastly, are you still getting your branded refills?

Great questions! I was wondering about the difference between the two.

I need to figure out my “goal” weight.

Do you have an idea or range?

@@RoundMoundofZepbound i do not. I bring this topic up in women’s spaces but can never get an answer. When you have been fat your whole adult life it’s hard to see that goal. I can look at a bmi chart and go with that. Im 5’8 but i think 150lbs seems thin. I started at 252. My first goal was 199 to hit onederland. Im 185 now. Next goal is 175. After that have no idea.

@@jenf836 Hi! I pray this helps you. BMI charts can help but it is not a one size fits all chart. It a "guide" but does not take into account YOUR shape, YOUR genetics, what YOUR bone structure is, if weight settles in YOUR hips, YOUR thighs, if YOU are nicely endowed at the top, etc. Being a lady that is 5' 7 1/2" (used to be 5'8" until age took the 1/2 away!), I have been at 150 several times in my adult life... Doesn't that sound terrible?! Anyway, that is my favorite weight so that is my goal once again, but it is not based on a BMI chart. I was there 4 years ago but I am 4 years older now so I am working to get there again. For reference, when I get done on Zepbound (hopefully in 3 months), I will be more straight up and down, smaller chested lady that doesn't have a big bum or big thighs. Finally my waist is coming back after a few years with it missing!!! That is why I am comfortable at 150 and that is my goal and where I am working to land.
FOR YOU, think about YOUR bone structure (I am broad in the shoulders so I think of myself as being bigger boned than say my M-I-L who is 2 1/2" shorter and she seems petite because she just seems small at the shoulders when I hug her). Are YOU big or bigger in the chest? Ladies will carry different amounts of weight there. After weight loss will your thighs & bum have a little padding left over? Can you envision what your shape will be? For example, are you more pear shaped (smaller at the top & bigger in the middle)?
Please don't stress if you don't have a goal weight just yet. You are still wanting to lose 10 more pounds. After you reach 175, decide if you want to go to say 170. If you do, when you get there, decide if you want to go to 165. Don't put undue pressure on yourself for a number. See how you are feeling with the weight loss. See if you aren't feeling healthier. See how you feel about yourself when you look in the mirror at each of those 5 pound increments. @SimplyTaisha says she is not looking for a scale weight. She wants her body fat percentage to be a certain number. Some ladies look BEAUTIFUL at 175 because of their body shape, height and how they carry their weight proportionally.
You are doing so wonderfully great!!! Please don't pressure yourself!!!!! Do take care and I wish every success!!!! Sandra
